Abstract

Surveillance and Response Maternal Perinatal Audit (AMP-SR) is a new guideline that is used as a reference for District/City, Provincial and National Health Offices in improving the quality of Maternal Perinatal Audit (AMP) in Indonesia, but the guideline has not worked well so it has an impact in the increase in cases of maternal mortality in Indonesia over the last three years from 87.93/100,000 Live Births (LB) in 2019 to 166.5/100,000 Live Births in 2021. Objective is to analyze evidence of AMP-SR implementation in districts/cities in Indonesia through scoping review. Articles were selected from six databases: Pubmed, Clinicalkey, Scopus, Springerlink, Science Direct, and Garuda with the inclusion criteria of original articles, full text, 2012-2022, Indonesian and English, research in Indonesia, qualitative, and relevant to research purposes. The keywords used are maternal death, policy, implementation, audit, Indonesia. Article screening was carried out with PRISMA. The SPIDER method was used to construct research questions.Of the 499 articles found, only seven articles met the inclusion criteria with a high eligibility value. Seven articles discuss the implementation of AMP-SR in Regencies/Cities in Indonesia with optimal Identification 57.14%, not optimal 42.86%. Reporting is optimal 28.57%, not optimal. The optimal review is 14.29%, not yet optimal 85.71%. The optimal response is 28.57%, not yet optimal 71.43%. Most of the implementation of AMP-SR in districts/cities in Indonesia is not optimal and is still constrained, so it is necessary to strengthen the role and commitment of health workers in implementing AMP-SR so that it is better and more comprehensive. Keywords:  Audit,  Implementation, Maternal Death, Policy

Abstract

Inadequate feeding practices result in malnutrition and stunting which results in delayed growth and development of infants and children. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between the consumption of various foods and the incidence of stunting in infants aged 6-24 months in Indonesia. The method used in writing this article is the literature review, which is a literature search both nationally and internationally carried out using a database. Article searches are conducted using four electronic databases, namely Google Scholar, Researchgate, PubMed Central, and ScienceDirect. The search returned 11 articles after removing duplicate articles, 8 remaining. After screening the titles and abstracts which are not in accordance with the themes included, are letters/reports/brief communications/chapters. The final screening resulted in 8 articles that met the inclusive criteria. The results of the study show that food diversity in Breast Milk Mp is one of the indicators used to assess nutritional adequacy in preventing stunting. It can also be used to see an overview of the food groups consumed by children aged 6-23 months in assisting breastfeeding. It is recommended for cadres and health workers to be more active in providing counseling about complementary foods for the development of toddler nutrition and it is suggested to provide nutrition training to mothers who have toddlers in order to increase mothers' knowledge about nutritious food for toddlers. Keyword:  Babies 6-24 months, Breast Milk, Food, Stunting, Various

Abstract

The use of contraception can prevent the risk of death for both mother and infant due to unplanned pregnancy. This study measures adult women's knowledge, attitudes, and behavior in contraceptive use in coastal slums. Knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors are supported by supporting factors and driving factors at the mother's household level. This research used a multilevel analytical with a cross-sectional approach. Adult women (individual levels) and heads of the family (family level) are subject in this study, separated into two groups in the individual and household unit. The total sample in this study is 734 samples and originated from 374 samples in individual and household units. The results of this study indicate that maternal knowledge about contraception and mother's education has a positive effect on contraceptive use, as well as husband's support and economic status. Women with an elementary and junior high school education tend not to use contraception 3-5 times more than women with higher education. The family variation between environments binds 26% of the results to the existing multilevel analysis so that contributions made by intervening risk factors at the family level will increase participation in individual contraceptive use by 26%. Supporting factors for mothers in using contraception influence the support of their husbands and family support. Elementary and junior high school education still dominantly influence contraception in adult women in first and second models. Women with primary and junior secondary education tend not to use contraception three to five times more than the group of women who have higher education. Contributions that can be made by intervening risk factors at the family level will increase the participation of contraceptive use in individuals by twenty-six percent. Keywords:  Contraception, Family Support, Slum Area.

Abstract

The incidence of stunting under five is still a major nutritional problem in Indonesia today. Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem caused by many factors such as age, mother's education and occupation, number of children and birth spacing. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of mothers who have stunted toddlers in the working area of the Anak Air Health Center in Padang City, West Sumatra Province. This research was conducted in the working area of the Anak Air Health Center in Padang City, West Sumatra Province. The time of the research started from November 2022 to January 2023. This research was an observational study with a descriptive approach. The population for this study was all mothers who had stunting toddlers in the Working Area of the Water Children's Health Center in 2022 as many as 337 people. The research sample was 54 stunting toddlers using a simple random sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. Data analysis used is descriptive analysis. The results of the study are the characteristics of mothers who have stunted toddlers aged 21-35 years as many as 33 (61.1%), mother's work as housewives as many as 52 (96.3%), high school education as many as 37 (68.5%), the number of children >2 was 31 (57.4%), and the birth spacing was ≥3 years and the first child was 37 (68.5%). It is expected that optimal cross-sectoral cooperation in reducing the prevalence of stunting is according to the government's target, which starts from the first level health service center, namely the community health service center and it is suggested to health workers to provide health education to stunting toddlers about the importance of nutritional needs for toddlers in the process of growth and development. toddler development. Keyword: Characteristics, Education, Number and Spacing of Births, Occupation, Stunting Toddlers

Abstract

Wasting is the condition of a child whose weight decreases over time until the total body weight is far below the standard growth curve or weight for height is low (thin) and shows weight loss (acute) and is severe. East Nusa Tenggara, the frequency of acute and chronic nutrition ranks highest in Indonesia with the prevalence of wasting still above the national average. The prevalence of wasting in NTT will increase from 7.5% in 2021 to 8.0% in 2022. Kupang Regency is one of the districts in NTT that experienced the highest increase in the percentage of wasting under five, namely 11 % and in absolute terms under five with wasting nutrition problems 42 under five in Year 2021 (NTT Provincial Health Office, 2021). This research is an observational analytic study. The approach is carried out by case control and using a multivariable model which is one of the analytical techniques to determine the relationship between various variables in health. The research will be carried out using simple random sampling. Kupang Regency is one of the districts in NTT that experienced the highest increase in the percentage of wasting under five, namely 11 % and in absolute terms under five with wasting nutrition problems 42 under five in Year 2021 (NTT Provincial Health Office, 2021). The results of this study indicate that the factors causing wasting are exclusive breastfeeding (41.9%), Basic Sanitation (56.3%), Parenting (88.2%), and Parents Income (42.9%). The results of this study indicate that the causes of wasting based on these variables have a significant difference (p <0.05). Recommendations from this study are expected for policy makers both in health services to carry out socialization and counseling about exclusive breastfeeding, parenting, sanitation and parents income. Keyword:    Basic sanitation, Exclusive breastfeeding, Parenting, Parents income, Wasting

Abstract

A person can be infected with tuberculosis (TB) simply by inhaling the bacteria that are spread in the air. Tuberculosis can be fatal for someone if it is not treated immediately, but TB can be cured if you take the medicine properly and correctly. The purpose of this study was to determine the distribution of TB disease based on person, place and time at Arjasa Subdistrict, Jember Regency. The type of research used was descriptive quantitative. This research was conducted at Arjasa Primary Healthcare from January to February 2023. The population and sample in this study were all TB patients at Arjasa Primary Healthcare from 2019 to 2022. The variables in this study were person variables (age, gender, type of TB, treatment status), place (village), time (year), achievement success rate (SR), and achievement case detection rate (CDR). Data analysis is in the form of descriptive analysis and is presented in the form of tables and graphs. Based on the results of the analysis, there is no difference between women and men, the most age is adults, the most type of TB is pulmonary TB, and the most treatment status is cured, based on most places, namely Arjasa Village and Kemuninglor, based on the most time, namely in 2022 as many as 60 people, based on the SR the achievements have decreased and have not reached the target, while the CDR has increased but has not reached the target. It is hoped that the Arjasa Primary Healthcare will improve SR and CDR achievements by involving NGOs related to TB, community leaders, religious leaders, the sub-district government, or the local village government. Keywords: Descriptive Epidemiology, Person, Place, Time,Tuberculosis

Abstract

The reappearance of the monkeypox virus in 2022 in 58 countries and Indonesia is no exception, which confirmed 1 case in patients post travelling abroad. The current monkeypox infection is still present, with symptoms that vary from person to person and are typically characterized by reddish rashes. Still, it is primarily confined to the genital, perigenital, and perianal areas. It manifests at various stages of development, in addition to transmission from animals caused by hunting activities or in LGBT ( Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) communities that have unprotected sex and can be infected through semen and saliva. This review aims to find a relationship between the increasing number of monkeypox cases, especially in LGBT community, based on the literature study approach and case reports. One of the non-medicamentous ways is to reduce travelling abroad, especially in countries with many monkeypox cases. Preventing direct contact, such as abstaining from sex and using condoms, is also a way to reduce the morbidity of monkeypox infection, especially in LGBT community. The treatment has not proven effective, and the available vaccines, especially in Indonesia, are still limited. Only a few cases in Indonesia have been reported.

Abstract

Sleep deprivation often occurs in those who live in social situations and lifestyles that support the occurrence of these conditions, for example in people who have a large workload or academic demands, including medical students. Moreover, the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic since 2020 has made various universities suspend face-to-face learning which has an impact on increasing assignment assignments. This study aims to determine the relationship between sleep quality and cognitive function in the Class of 2020-2021 Students of the Faculty of Medicine of Tarumanagara University during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method used is an analytical observational study using a cross-sectional analysis design. Data was collected online through filling out the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and Indonesian-language Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA-INA) questionnaires by respondents during the period of December 2021 to May 2022. The results of the study obtained 249 respondents, of which 159 respondents had poor sleep quality (63.9%). Poor sleep quality was more commonly found in respondents in the age group of 20-22 years (67.2%), female gender (68.2%), group with history of routine drug consumption (88.2%), and history of consuming caffeinated drinks >2x/day (76.3%). There is a significant relationship between sleep quality and cognitive function in the Class of 2020-2021 Students of the Faculty of Medicine of Tarumanagara University during the COVID-19 pandemic (RR=6.575, p<0.0001) as a conclusion. It is hoped that the results of this study can serve as educational material and reference especially for university students so that they can apply good sleep hygiene practices to optimize sleep quality and cognitive function.  Keywords: COVID-19, PSQI, MoCA-INA
