However, the strategy to increase the awareness of social media users is not easy to formulate. In advance, it is necessary to know the biggest motives of social media users in receiving and redistributing hoax information. Based on research using a quantitative approach through a cross-sectional survey strategy, it has been found that the motives that most often underlie social media users in receiving hoax information are dominated by the information exposure process motive and the viral information motive. In addition, someone's motive for sharing hoax information is the motive for low information literacy and cultural motives for sharing information.

Abstract

The election of regional heads is actually a place to take choices directly by the people or voters in the regions. But in fact, the choice of voters is much influenced, even manipulated by political brokers. This study was conducted to reveal the models of political brokers and their operating patterns in regional head elections in Indonesia. Political brokers have hijacked direct democracy in local elections. The regional head should have a direct contract with the voters, related to the work program at the time of contestation and accountability at the time of election. But the process was hijacked midway by political brokers. Political brokers have long operated in the process in Indonesia, both general elections, presidential elections, village head elections, and regional head elections. This research used descriptive qualitative method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with informants who were directly involved in the regional head election. From the research conducted, it is found that political brokers in regional head elections in Indonesia are village heads, and community leaders. Political brokers perform their role in two ways. First, by giving money to the head of the electorate. The money comes from regional head candidates who are given by the winning team for regional head candidates for political brokers. The money given by regional head candidates to political brokers consists of money for own political broker and operational money, as well as money to be distributed to voters. Second, political brokers also act to intimidate, threaten and frighten potential voters, if they do not vote for candidates who are supported by political brokers.

Abstract

The separatism occurs in Papua that comes from the root of complex problems, resulting in ongoing conflict between the Free Papua Organization (OPM) and the state. Separatism and conflict in Papua have had a significant impact on political development. This research uses Tedd Robert Gurr's theory of relative deprivation and Lucian Pye's theory of political development as well as qualitative methods. This research examines conflicts and separatism that occur in Papua and their relation to Papuan political development. The result of this research indicates that political development in Papua has not been successful. The discrepancy between expectations for progress and realities can lead to significant political violence. The strengthening of collective discontent can be politicized and produce radical and even separatist resistance movements. These conditions can hinder the course of the political development process, because of the difficulty of building integration and creating political stability.

Abstract

The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict escalated again in 2020, confronting between Azerbaijan and Armenia. As the main actors of the conflict, have claimed approximately 5000 victims in the fighting that took place in the border areas of each of these countries. At that time there were 130 Indonesian citizens in Azerbaijan and 2 Indonesian citizens in Armenia. This situation certainly demands the attitude of Indonesia. Moreover, at that time Indonesia was serving as a Non-Permanent Member of the UN Security Council. This study seeks to examine the influence of identity and norms in Indonesia's response to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in 2020. The researcher uses a constructivist approach to the significance of the construction and Indonesian identity and norms. Researchers also try to analyze and describe the relationship between national identity and international norms with forms of response and Indonesian foreign policy. By using qualitative methods sourced from interviews with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as literature studies to enrich data analysis. Through this framework, the author concludes that there are several identities that encourage Indonesia to respond to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Namely the identity of the Preambule of the 1945 Constitution, the identity of an Islamic state, the identity of a free and active foreign policy, and an identity with fellow Islamic countries in the OIC. In addition to identity, Indonesia's response is also driven by the norms of Peace and War, both unwritten and institutionalized in the United Nations.

Abstract

Women in pregnancy have special needs and may require different forms of physical, social, mental, and emotional support than others because they are very vulnerable to death, illness and injury during the Covid-19 pandemic. This article examines how the government plans to prepare some strategies and capacity to ensure pregnant women's safety during the Covid-19 pandemic in Palembang. We conducted a field study with essential questions in assessing the vaccination program for pregnant women, government, hospitals, print news, and online about the distribution of services and the availability of vaccination for pregnant woman are delaying. In this article, we found a significant disruption to the practice of vaccination of pregnant women in the city of Palembang during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is not only because of the closure of health services but also because of the lack of supply of vaccine distribution for pregnant women, so the vaccination program for pregnant women has been delayed. We urge the government to strengthen the strategy and capacity to ensure that vaccination services for pregnant women are available in the city of Palembang because even though the Covid-19 pandemic is currently sloping, there is still a possibility that it will rise again.
