Abstract

The rapid development of Financial Technology (Fintech) services within e-commerce platforms has given rise to various alternative payment methods, notably Paylater, which is increasingly popular among Indonesia's Generation Z. This study aims to analyze the integration of Paylater services in e-commerce, evaluating the driving factors for adoption, risk awareness, and security perceptions from the perspective of Generation Z users in Indonesia. Employing an exploratory qualitative approach through a comprehensive literature review and an online survey of 12 Generation Z respondents, data were descriptively analyzed to delineate usage patterns and service perceptions. Findings indicate that 0% installment promotions, payment flexibility, and easy access are primary drivers of Paylater adoption. While most respondents are aware of additional fees, only a minority fully comprehend the detailed calculations, highlighting a digital financial literacy gap. Service satisfaction levels are notably high, yet security perceptions remain neutral, and personal financial management capabilities are rated as "sufficient". This study underscores the urgent need for deeper digital financial literacy education, enhanced cost transparency, credit limit adjustments, and strengthened security features in Paylater services in Indonesia to foster responsible and sustainable financial behavior among Generation Z.

Abstract

This research will examine the impact of banking competition and its effect on profitability driven by the entry of foreign banks penetrating the existing banking industry in Indonesia. The type of this research is quantitative research. The sample in this study consists of all commercial banks in Indonesia that are registered with the Financial Services Authority and active up to the time this research was conducted. The sample of this research involves 98 Banks. The analytical tool used in this study is panel data regression analysis to address the influence and moderation of banking penetration. Competition, as assessed by the Lerner index, has a positive and significant impact on bank profitability. The penetration of foreign banks can moderate the relationship between competition and profitability.

Abstract

Globalization has enhanced economic development worldwide, including in Indonesia. Yet, people increasingly find it difficult to differentiate between wants and actual needs. As financial capacity and education levels grow annually in Indonesia, this study investigates how financial literacy and hedonism impact financial management behavior, with locus of control as a mediating factor. Targeting working women in Jember Regency, the study applied Malhotra's sampling rule, selecting 200 respondents based on 20 indicators. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS was employed to analyze the data. Findings reveal that financial literacy and hedonistic tendencies influence financial management behavior, with locus of control playing a significant mediating role.

Abstract

The use of digital marketing is an efficient means to open new marketing channels for MSME products. The purpose of this study is to fill the gap in previous research by analyzing the impact of digital marketing on the income of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Sumbawa Regency. This type of research is a comparative study with a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques through questionnaires and documentation. The number of samples in this study was 30 MSME samples that used digital marketing media and 30 MSME samples that did not use digital marketing. The results of the Kolmogorov Test stated that the data was normally distributed. The results of the study showed that there was a difference in average income between MSMEs that used digital marketing and MSMEs that did not use digital marketing. The results of this study prove that product marketing using digital marketing has an impact on increasing MSME income in Sumbawa Regency

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) in supporting the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Parit Culum I Subdistrict, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency, Jambi Province. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the study highlights the effectiveness of the PNM Mekaar group-based financing program, which targets underprivileged women. The research reveals that the unsecured funding scheme, combined with entrepreneurship training, business mentoring, and financial literacy, has been effective in enhancing the production capacity, income, and economic independence of MSME actors. Moreover, the program fosters social networks among entrepreneurs, which strengthens business resilience. Despite the positive impacts, challenges remain, such as low digital literacy, limited mentoring outreach, and minimal access to broader markets. These findings underscore the importance of integrating inclusive financing with continuous development support as part of a local economic empowerment strategy centered on MSMEs.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of work experience, working hours, wages, and number of dependents on labor productivity at the Wie Sien soy sauce company in Ampenan District, Mataram City in 2024. Sampling was carried out by probability sampling with a sample size of 32 workers. The analysis tool used in this study to answer the research objectives is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study are that the factors that have a partial influence are working hours (X2) and wages (X3). This is because the calculated t value is greater than the t table value, namely working hours (X2) has a calculated t value of (-2.932) and a t table value of (0.007) while wages (X3) has a calculated t value of (4.928) and a t table value of (0.000). while other factors such as work experience and the number of family dependents do not have a partial effect. Because work experience (X1) has a calculated t value of (1.862) and a table t value of (0.073), while the number of dependents has a calculated t value of (1.343) and a table t value of (0.191). Meanwhile, simultaneously, work experience, working hours, wages, and number of dependents have a significant influence on the labor productivity variable.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan tax planning melalui zakat sebagai pengurang penghasilan kena pajak (PKP) orang pribadi dengan studi kasus pada pegawai BAZNAS Kota Cilegon. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya pemanfaatan zakat sebagai pengurang pajak meskipun telah diatur dalam UU Nomor 23 Tahun 2011 dan Undang-Undang Nomor 36 Tahun 2008. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil yang diperoleh bahwa pembayaran zakat melalui BAZNAS yang disertai bukti setor dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai instrumen tax planning yang sah untuk mengurangi beban pajak penghasilan orang pribadi. Namun demikian, penerapannya masih menghadapi berbagai hambatan seperti rendahnya kesadaran dan literasi wajib pajak, kurangnya sosialisasi pemerintah, serta keraguan masyarakat terhadap lembaga pengelola zakat. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan peningkatan edukasi dan penyederhanaan prosedur agar zakat dapat lebih optimal digunakan sebagai instrumen pengurang pajak.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much economic value of Senggigi nature tourism is seen from travel costs and to determine whether travel costs, time costs, respondent perceptions, substitution characteristics, individual income, facilities, education level, distance, and age affect the number of individual visits by domestic and foreign tourists in Gili Trawangan nature tourism in North Lombok Regency. The research method used is the survey sample method, and the respondent determination technique is the accidental sampling method where the sample is carefully selected so that it is relevant to the research design. The analysis used Multiple Regression Analysis with ten main variables, namely the number of visits (Y), travel costs (X1), time costs (X2), respondent perceptions (X3), substitution characteristics (X4), individual income (X5) Facilities (X6) Education level (X7) distance (X8) and age (X9). with the result Y = -11.026 - 1.22X1 + 1.48X2 + 1.45X3 - 2.26X4 -7.43X5 + 2.88X6 + 2.21X7 + 7.75X8 + 0.12X9. The partial test results show that the calculated Z value of the substitution characteristic variable, facility variable, education level variable and distance variable is greater than the t-table value (-2.464 > -1.960), (3.490 > 1.960), (2.564 > 1.960), (3.919 > 1.960), which means that the substitution characteristics, education level, facilities, and distance have a significant influence on the number of visits. Meanwhile, the variables of travel costs, time costs, respondent perceptions, income, and age do not have a significant effect on the number of visits. The test results simultaneously or equally show that the nine independent variables, namely travel costs, time costs, respondent perceptions, substitution characteristics, individual income, facilities, education level, distance and age have a real influence on the dependent variable (number of visits).

Abstract

The uncertainty surrounding tariff policies imposed by US President Donald Trump has prompted other countries, such as China, to retaliate by raising tariffs on US goods. Investors, particularly those in the capital market, have responded, as they seek to secure their funds. This study aims to determine the stock market reaction to companies included in the LQ45 index. The event study method used analyzes the stock market reaction during and after the tariff war between the US and China. Data analysis techniques used the independent sample t-test and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The study found that abnormal returns on stocks included in the LQ45 index responded to the policies implemented by both countries. This event prompted investors to react negatively without waiting for new policy changes between the two countries. Meanwhile, trading volume activity showed no difference in response during and after the tariff war. Investors tended to wait and see how significant the impact might be after the event.

Abstract

Green marketing has emerged as a pivotal corporate sustainability and innovation strategy, influencing business performance, regulatory policies, tourism, and consumer behaviour. Companies increasingly integrate eco-friendly marketing approaches to enhance competitiveness, comply with regulations, and appeal to environmentally conscious consumers. Research highlights that green marketing fosters innovation strengthens corporate environmental commitments, and improves sustainability outcomes. Studies show businesses investing in sustainable branding, supply chains, and product development experience long-term profitability and resilience. Consumer trust is crucial in green marketing effectiveness, with transparent environmental labelling and ethical business practices driving customer loyalty. However, deceptive sustainability claims, or "greenwashing," pose reputational risks, emphasizing the need for authenticity in sustainability initiatives.
