Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the Somatic Auditory Visual Intelectual (SAVI) learning model on students' mathematical concept understanding skills assisted by JACAMA. The type of research used is quantitative research with quasy experimental design method, post-test only control group design. The samples taken in this research were VB class students totaling 23 students of SD Negeri 12 Singkawang. The data collection technique used questionnaires and essay-shaped tests containing indicators of students' understanding of mathematical concepts. Data analysis technique using t test and percentage of student response questionnaire. The research results obtained are: 1) Students' responses to learning media taught with SAVI learning models in grade V elementary school have good criteria; 2) The SAVI learning model assisted by JACAMA has a major effect on students' mathematical concept understanding ability as shown by Es, namely 1.30 with high criteria; 3) There is a difference in students' mathematical concept understanding ability between those taught with the SAVI learning model assisted by JACAMA and those who apply the direct learning model in class V SD Negeri 12 Singkawang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Numbered Head Together learning model on grade VII mathematics learning outcomes as well as the difficulties or weaknesses of students learning by using the Numbered Head Together learning model. This research is quantitative research with experimental research type, the research used pretest-posttest control group design. In this study the population was all class VII students of SMP Negeri 5 Percut Sei Tuan and the sample used consisted of two classes namely VII-6 (experimental class) and class VII-7 (control class). The sampling technique used simple random sampling. Based on the results of the pretest data, the average value of the experimental class was 29.59 and the control class was 31.5. While the posttest results obtained an average experimental value of 77.40 and a control class of 71.34. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the t-test, it is concluded that there is a significant effect of the Numbered Head Together learning model on the learning outcomes of seventh grade mathematics students at SMP Negeri 5 Percut Sei Tuan. The Numbered Head Together model can reduce students difficulties in understanding and solving linear equations of one variable and increase students’ active participation in learning.

Abstract

This research aims to: 1). Describe how students' mathematical reflective thinking abilities with high learning independence on SPLDV material. 2) Describe how students think reflectively mathematically with moderate learning independence on SPLDV material. 3) Describe how students with low learning independence use reflective mathematical thinking in SPLDV material. This research method is descriptive research (Description Research) and the approach used is a qualitative approach. The subjects in this research were students in class VIII C at SMPN 17 Singkawang. The instruments used in this research were a learning independence questionnaire and a mathematical reflective thinking ability test. From the research results it can be seen that; (1) with high learning independence, students are able to work on indicator questions for the Reacting, Elaborating and Contemplating phases; (2) in moderate learning independence, students are able to work on questions in the Reacting and Elaborating phases, but students are not yet able to work on indicator questions in the Contemplating phase with correct results; (3) with low learning independence, students are unable to work on questions on the Elaborating and Contemplating phase indicators with correct solutions and results, but students are able to work on questions on the Reacting phase indicators correctly. Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded that; (a) Mathematical reflective thinking ability with high learning independence is in the high category; (b) Mathematical reflective thinking ability with moderate learning independence is in the low category, and; (c) Mathematical reflective thinking ability with low learning independence is in the low category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas VII SMP berdasarkan kepribadian ektrovert dan introvert yang dibelajarkan dengan Model Pembelajaran Berdasarkan Masalah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan tahapan analisis data terdiri dari pengumpulan data, kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Pada penelitian ini, populasi yang digunakan yaitu siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Medan dengan sampel penelitian adalah 5 siswa ekstrovert dan 5 siswa introvert yang ditentukan berdasarkan teknik puporsive sampling. Instrumen penelitian adalah angket kepribadian siswa ekstrovert introvert, tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif, lembar pedoman wawancara, dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian ini adalah kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa introvert lebih baik dibandingkan siswa ekstrovert pada indikator fluency, flexibility, originality, dan elaboration. Perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa terletak pada banyak jawaban dan proses peyelesaiannya. Siswa introvert mampu menghasilkan lebih dari satu penyelesaian, dengan cara bervariasi, dengan caranya sendiri, dan tahapan penyelesaiannya terstruktur dan terperinci. Sedangkan siswa ekstrovert hanya memberikan sebuah jawaban, sehingga caranya belum bervariasi, dan jawabannya  masih umum. Ditinjau dari keaktifan selama proses pembelajaran, siswa ekstrovert lebih aktif, kepercayaan dirinya tinggi, bersosialisasi dengan baik, dan aktif bertanya jawab. Sedangkan siswa  introvert lebih pasif, cenderung menyendiri, kepercayaan dirnya rendah, dan pemalu.

Abstract

The Least Squares Method (MKT) is the best linear regression estimator if the classical assumption tests are met. However, if there are outliers in the data, this approach can provide inaccurate prediction results. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to overcome the inappropriate model due to outliers in variables that affect mutual fund performance in Indonesia. The variables in this study are risk level, inflation, fund size, turnover ratio, and cash flow. Robust regression is an approach designed to provide more accurate estimates without discarding observational data that indicates outliers. One of the estimation approaches is Least Trimmed Squares (LTS). This estimation minimizes the sum of squared residuals from h observations that are not considered outliers. The results showed that there were 10 outliers in the data, and the risk level variable had no effect on mutual fund performance, while the inflation, fund size, turnover ratio, and cash flow variables had a significant effect. So by comparing the  value and residual standard error of the two methods, it is found that the  value in the LTS method is greater than the MKT method, namely 0.589 0.273, and the residual standard error in the LTS method is smaller than the MKT method, namely 9.73 48.59. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Least Trimmed Squares method provides better estimation results and is more effective for handling outliers than the MKT method.

Abstract

Dua arus lalu lintas dikatakan kompatibel apabila kedua arus tersebut dapat berjalan bersamaan dengan aman atau tidak adanya perpotongan jalur. Adapun tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk membandingkan hasil perhitungan waktu tunggu total optimal dengan menggunakan graf kompatibel di dua persimpangan yaitu simpang empat yang berada di antara dinas pendidikan Sultra dan TK Kuncup Pertiwi dengan simpang empat di antara taman Kota Kendari dan Kantor Kearsipan Perpustakaan Sulawesi Tenggara. Berdasarkan penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa waktu tunggu total dengan menggunakan graf kompatibel pada simpang empat yang berada di antara depan dinas pendidikan Sultra dan TK Kuncup Pertiwi lebih optimal yaitu hanya 150 detik dibandingkan dengan persimpangan antara taman Kota Kendari dan Kantor Kearsipan Perpustakaan Sulawesi Tenggara yaitu 180 detik. Namun demikian, berdasarkan hasil hitung dengan menggunakan graf kompatibel diperoleh hasil yang sebaliknya.

Abstract

Masalah transportasi adalah   bentuk spesifik dari program linier untuk menangani proses pendistribusian barang dari asal (supply) menuju lokasi tujuan dengan meminimumkan biaya transportasi sehingga diperlukan perencanaan strategi untuk menentukan rute. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Vogel’s Approximation (VAM) untuk mencari solusi layak awal dan menerapkan metode Stepping Stone untuk uji optimalitasnya serta ingin menunjukkan ada atau tidaknya pengaruh pada biaya transportasi jika lokasi supply dan demand dibuat bervariasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa pada variasi lokasi supply berpengaruh terhadap biaya transportasi sedangkan pada variasi lokasi demand tidak. Biaya transportasi yang paling minimum diperoleh pada variasi pertama supply.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there are differences and the effect of using the Creative Problem Solving model assisted by learning videos for grade V students of SDN 84 Singkawang. The type of research used is quantitative research with the method of true experimental design with posstest-only control group design. The samples taken in the study were V-B class students totaling 24 students. Data collection techniques using essay question test techniques by containing indicators of problem solving ability. Data analysis techniques using t-test and effect size. The results of this study showed that: 1) there is a difference in problem solving skills between classes using the CPS model assisted by learning videos and classes using direct learning models, 2) the use of the CPS model has an effect, but not significant on students' problem solving skills with the results of the effect size of 0.60 and falls into moderate criteria.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' ability to understand mathematical concepts at SMP Negeri 21 Medan by applying the Discovery Learning learning model. This research is classroom action research carried out in two cycles. The subjects of this research were students of VIII-5 SMP Negeri 21 Medan with a total of 31 students. Each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation/evaluation and reflection. The results of the research show that students' ability to understand mathematical concepts can increase after implementing the discovery learning model. The increase was obtained through the average student score from 57.52 in the poor category, increasing in the first cycle to 68.11 in the poor category and increasing in the second cycle to 77.81 in the sufficient category. Improvement was also obtained from students' classical abilities, where in the first cycle 16 students (51.61%) completed it. Then, in cycle II, it was found that 27 students (87.1%) had completed classically. So it is concluded that the application of the Discovery Learning learning model can improve the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students in class VIII SMP Negeri 21 Medan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe students' mathematical spatial abilities in geometry material viewed from their learning interests. This research method is a qualitative study. The subjects of the study were students of class IX-B MTS Al-Fatah Singkawang. Data collection techniques in this study were based on learning interest questionnaires, mathematical spatial ability tests and interviews. The data analysis technique used was the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, data analysis, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that 1) students' mathematical spatial abilities in geometry material viewed from high learning interests had an average of 56.25 which was in the sufficient category. 2) students' mathematical spatial abilities in geometry material averaged 67.5 which was in the sufficient category. 3) students' mathematical spatial abilities viewed from low student learning interests had an average of 37.5 which was in the sufficient category.
