Abstract

Singkawang is a multicultural city. Singkawang community famous multiethnic society consisting of Chinese, Dayak, Malay, and Madura (Cidayuma). The existence of ethnic diversity can cause various problems, such as conflicts, violence, separatism, and the loss of a sense of humanity to always respect the rights of others. Multicultural education should facilitate the learning process that transforms prejudice and all forms of discrimination to the perspective to appreciate the diversity and differences. This journal has been reviewing the literature of the same journal with articles on multicultural education. The first part of this study will introduce Cidayuma society, along with the conflicts that have occurred, and the introduction of multicultural education. The second part will discuss the importance of education-based multicultural conflict prevention for the community Cidayuma. Finally, the last part of this article will describe efforts to prevent conflict through community-multicultural based education Cidayuma in Singkawang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the Somatic Auditory Visual Intelectual (SAVI) learning model on students' mathematical concept understanding skills assisted by JACAMA. The type of research used is quantitative research with quasy experimental design method, post-test only control group design. The samples taken in this research were VB class students totaling 23 students of SD Negeri 12 Singkawang. The data collection technique used questionnaires and essay-shaped tests containing indicators of students' understanding of mathematical concepts. Data analysis technique using t test and percentage of student response questionnaire. The research results obtained are: 1) Students' responses to learning media taught with SAVI learning models in grade V elementary school have good criteria; 2) The SAVI learning model assisted by JACAMA has a major effect on students' mathematical concept understanding ability as shown by Es, namely 1.30 with high criteria; 3) There is a difference in students' mathematical concept understanding ability between those taught with the SAVI learning model assisted by JACAMA and those who apply the direct learning model in class V SD Negeri 12 Singkawang.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is an influence of the TPS (Think Pairs Share) learning model on problem solving in fourth grade fraction material at SDN 89 Singkawang. The type of research used is quantitative research with a true experimental design method. The population in this study was 35 class IV students at SDN 89 Singkawang. Then samples were taken using a purposive sampling technique so that the sample used was 35 students consisting of class IV. The sample used in the research was carried out by selecting samples taking into account the students' cognitive results, so that researchers could produce class IV for the experimental class and control class. The prerequisite test carried out is a normality test using the Chi-square formula and a variance homogeneity test is carried out to see the similarity of the variants in the two groups. To test the first hypothesis, the Effect Size formula is used and to test the second hypothesis, the t-test formula is used. The results of the research show that: 1) The TPS (Think Pairs Share) learning model has an effect on problem solving abilities in class IV fraction material at SDN 89 Singkawang. This is shown from the calculation of the Effect Size value, which is 1,600, which is included in the high criteria. 2) There is a difference in problem solving abilities using the TPS (Think Pairs Share) model with the conventional model in class IV fraction material at SDN 89

Abstract

Based on the results of a survey conducted by the Community Service team (Lecturers and Students of STKIP Singkawang) in early December 2022 in Setapuk Besar sub-district, North Singkawang district, Singkawang city, the community, especially their mothers, often provide practical frozen food, especially nuggets made from processed meat to their children as a provision for school meals and side dishes at home,  This is done because they consider this type of food more practical to serve, durable, nutritious and durable when frozen in the refrigerator, this is done continuously until now because of ignorance or lack of insight and knowledge of mothers who do not realize that behind the practicality of the food it turns out to contain various ingredients that are very dangerous when consumed continuously in the long term. On that basis, the service team consisting of STKIP Singkawang lecturers, STKIP Singkawang Counseling Guidance students and PKK mothers in Setapuk Besar Village, North Singkawang District, Singkawang City made innovations in the form of healthier Nuggets with tofu ingredients as protein and mustard greens as a source of dietary fiber and vitamins. The purpose of this activity is to educate and train people to make healthier and more natural nuggets. The method in this service is training / training and providing insight into healthy food choices. In this activity, the service team together with PKK mothers succeeded in making Naggeto (tofu nuggets and mustard greens) which were then used for school children's provisions and marketed in the Setapuk Besar sub-district area, North District Singkawang, Singkawang City.  As for some limitations that exist in doing marketing, the service team in the near future will provide marketing assistance using digital platforms (Facebook, Instragam, Tik-tok) to increase sales targets.

Abstract

The problems faced by partners are related to the implementation mechanism or product diversification process, related to the knowledge and skills of Kastaman Bidai craftsmen's creativity is still low. An effort is needed to overcome the problems faced by Kastaman Bidai UMKM partners.  STKIP Singkawang through the Product Diversification Program and E-Commerce optimization as an effort to escalate sales and business competitiveness to Kastaman Bidai UMKM. Implementation method by providing training and assistance in the form of preparing digital financial reports, diversifying bidai products, marketing and digital advertising of bidai products. The results obtained are that the Program can be implemented very well, 2. The understanding and skills of Kastaman Bidai UMKM Partners regarding the preparation of digital financial reports, diversification of bidai products, marketing and digital advertising of bidai products are very good and Kastaman Bidai UMKM Partners can produce Bidai derivative products

Abstract

This article is the result of a study on the harmonization of cosmopolitan values and nationalism in teaching civics as well as how these two ideas could create educational output that has global knowledge but do not forget a good personality or character that has been planted since the beginning. The study was motivated by the severe problems of the national consciousness (national consciousness) young people today who need serious revamping. In the era of globalization, the Indonesian people are faced with two major forces that are in tandem with globalization cosmopolitanism and nationalism with a marked weakening of the emergence of ideas of regionalism, broad autonomy, separatism and racial conflicts. Based on this, the study of how the process of harmonization of cosmopolitan values and nationalism in teaching civics and how the ideas can be a way for the creation of a sound education global output but remain local in character. Despite the fact that conceptually there is a contradiction between the cosmopolitan values of nationalism, both are at the poles of attraction, where the value of cosmopolitan pulled into the global sphere, while the value of nationalism pulled into the exclusive domain. In such a situation Civics learning is expected to be a bridge to harmonize both values. Value cosmopolitan and nationalism became the crucial factor in developing a global perspective but does not eliminate local character when done through learning Civics quality, quality and meaningful.

Abstract

In order to welcome the holding of simultaneous general elections which will be held in 2024, community service activities (PPM) carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Singkawang City are carried out with the aim that students as potential novice voters in 2024 can be more educated and knowledgeable in order to succeed in the democratic arena in Indonesia. This community service is carried out by visiting SMA Negeri 1 Singkawang City to carry out education and socialization so that class XII students as potential novice voters know their roles and responsibilities as citizens. Educational and outreach efforts are carried out by presenting teaching aids on how to channel political rights during the simultaneous general elections in the upcoming 2024 period. The impact to be obtained from PPM is that students have more awareness and understanding of the importance of their participation in channeling their political aspirations for the first time in general elections. Referring to the overall results of the dedication, the suggestion for schools is to form a forum in the form of extracurriculars that houses students who have more interest in politics so that their abilities in this field can be honed from an early age

Abstract

Abstract: Every tradition in Indonesia has values, especially the religious value. Similarly, the Sasak their known as people who ethnically diverse have variety traditions which can be used for educational purposes it will be very useful to preserve and transferring good things and religious values to the younger generations. For example, the tradition of Memaos or read the manuscript of such palm leaves can be done by several people in Lombok. See that Sasak is the majority of Moslem, Memaos tradition or palm leaves reading is done on certain occasions, usually in the great days of Moslem. This paper aims to describe how the historical background of Memaos tradition in Lombok Sasak ethnic. How are the aspects of religious education in the Memaos tradition in Lombok Sasak ethnic, especially when it is used as a tool to pass on religious values to the younger generation? Those are some of the problems outlined in this paper. And the results show that Memaos appeared with the arrival of the Moslemic religion Lombok island and Memaos is able to be an instrumental in beguethed religious values as the actualization media of appreciation the values of Moslem Abstrak: Keragaman budaya yang dimiliki Indonesia menjadikan sebuah daya tarik tersendiri yang membedakannya dengan negara lain. Hal ini merupakan warisan turun temurun dari para leluhur yang memiliki begitu banyak nilai-nilai di dalamnya. Keragaman budaya yang ada di Indonesia telah melahirkan pula keragaman wujud-wujud kebudayaan. Diantaranya adalah adat istiadat, upacara-upacara adat dan juga tradisi yang masih tetap dilestarikan oleh etnik-etnik di Indonesia. Setiap tradisi di Indonesia memiliki nilai-nilai yang terkandung di dalamnya, terutama nilai religius. Demikian pula dengan masyarakat sasak yang dikenal sebagai masyarakat yang dari segi etnis yang cukup beragam memiliki beraneka ragam tradisi yang bila dimanfaatkan untuk kepentingan pendidikan maka akan sangat berguna untuk dijadikan sebagai alat untuk melestarikan serta mentransper hal-hal baik maupun nilai religius kepada generasi muda. Sebagai contoh yakni tradisi memaos atau membaca naskah lontar yang bisa dilakukan oleh beberapa orang pada suku sasak Lombok. Mengingat suku sasak mayoritas beragama Islam maka tradisi Memaos atau membaca lontar ini dilakukan pada acara-acara tertentu, biasanya pada hari-hari besar Islam. Makalah ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana sejarah latar belakang munculnya tradisi Memaos pada suku Sasak Lombok? Bagaimana aspek pendidikan religius pada tradisi Memaos pada masyarakat suku Sasak Lombok, terutama ketika ia digunakan sebagai alat untuk mewariskan nilai religius bagi generasi muda? Itulah beberapa persoalan yang coba diuraikan dalam tulisan ini. Dan hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa memaos muncul seiring dengan masuknya agama Islam di pulau Lombok dan Memaos mampu menjadi instrument dalam mewariskan nilai-nilai religius serta sebagai media aktualisasi penghayatan nilai-nilai keislaman.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui adanya perbedaan pemahaman siswa tentang nilai-nilai multikultural pada pembelajaran pendidikan pancasila setelah diterapkan metode bermain peran dengan siswa yang belajar menggunakan metode konvensional; (2) mengetahui adanya efekivitas metode bermain peran dalam pengetahuan nilai-nilai multikultural pada pembelajaran pendidikan pancasila siswa di kelas V SDN 51 Singkawang. Jenis penelitian yang dipakai adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian Tru Experimental Design dengan rancangan Post-test Only. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VA dan kelas VB SDN 51 Singkawang dengan Teknik pengambilan sampel sampling total. Hasil dalam penelitian ini adalah 1) Terdapat perbedaan pemahaman siswa tentang nilai-nilai multikultural pada pembelajaran pendidikan pancasila setelah diterapkan metode bermain peran dan metode konvensional dengan hasil = 2,002 dan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < 0,05, 2) Metode bermian peran efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman nilai-nilai multikultural pada pembelajaran pendidikan pancasila siswa kelas V SDN 51 Singkawang dengan hasil uji Effect Size = 1,2923 yang berada pada kriteria tinggi

Abstract

The thinking process is a cognitive development that occurs in the minds of students by involving new knowledge and problems that occur related to geometry concepts to solve problems or find solutions to the problems presented. This study aims to study and describe comprehensively the thinking process of students in solving geometry problems based on Harel theory in the design of Malay traditional houses. This research method is qualitative research with a case study design. Furthermore, the data collection used is observation, tests and interviews. Then for data analysis carried out is reflective analysis with data trustworthiness using the triangulation method. Thefindings in the research  of students' thinking processes in solving geometry in the design of Malay traditional houses are the core category / central phenomenon built or constructed by three themes which include mental act, ways of thinking and ways of understanding. Ageometric spec on the design components of West Kalimantan Malay traditional houses includes rectangles, triangles, squares, parallelograms, semicircles,  isosceles triangles, right triangles, rhombuses, and trapeziums. The findings in this study need to be implemented in mathematics learning design, which relates to students' experiences in everyday life that touch the realm of local cultural arts so that students become more understanding of the geometry concepts explained so that they can dig deeper into mental acts,  ways of thinking and ways of understanding in  order to foster various student thought processes in  Solve mathematics problems
