Abstract

This study aims to know the achievement of the ability of the solution of the problems a useful or valuable junior high school students who used the realistic mathematics conventional by learning, the experimental work on this , matter used arithmetic is social class VII junior high school semester the even. Methods used is quantitative, who is in the form of experiments in supported by data from pretes and postes.The population research is junior high school students class VII in west bandung.With 43 sample graders experiment and 40 graders controls on the academic year 2017 / 2018. An instrument that is used is math tests the ability of the solution of the problems .Processing the data were analyzed using ibm spss version 21 application statistics . Processing data using analysis test normality and has been continued by test the average namely mann-whitney test .Based on the analysis conducted , results showed that the achievement of the ability of the solution of the problems a useful or valuable junior high school students who used the mathematics realistic better than conventional learning .

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kemampuan penalaran matematik siswa SMP yang masih sangat rendah. Pentingnya kemampuan tersebut karena merupakan salah satu tujuan dalam pembelajaran matematika. salah satu alternatif pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematik siswa adalah pembelajaran yang menggunakan pendekatan penemuan terbimbing. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengamati dan menelaah pencapaian kemampuan penalaran matematik siswa SMP melalui pendekatan penemuan terbimbing lebih baik daripada pembelajaran biasa, mengamati dan menelaah peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematik siswa SMP melalui pendekatan penemuan terbimbing lebih baik daripada pembelajaran biasa. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dan desain penelitian menggunakan pretes dan postes kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 9 Cimahi. Sampel diambil hanya dua kelas secara purposive sampling yaitu kelas VII j sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII i sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian berupa tes kemampuan penalaran matematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pencapaian kemampuan penalaran matematik siswa SMP melalui  pendekatan penemuan terbimbing lebih baik daripada pembelajaran biasa, Peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematik siswa SMP melalui pendekatan penemuan terbimbing lebih baik daripada pembelajaran biasa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik siswa SMK kelas XI dan menelaah kesalahan-kesalahan siswa dalam mengerjakan soal-soal tes mengenai materi peluang. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI sebanyak 32 orang. Bentuk pengambilan data yaitu pemberian 5 soal uraian dan wawancara pada subjek terpilih. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, nilai rata-rata dari keseluruhan soal instrumen kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik memperoleh 96% dan 77% untuk indikator berpikir lancar dalam melahirkan gagasan/cara mengerjakan yang berbeda, 45% untuk indikator berpikir orisinil dalam menggabungkan jawaban yang berbeda dari bagian-bagian soal untuk diuraikan, 95% untuk indikator berpikir elaboratif dalam mengembangkan suatu gagasan/produk, dan 79% untuk indikator berpikir luwes dalam menganalisis suatu masalah dari segi pandang yang bermacam-macam sehingga jika ditotal dan dirata-ratakan mencapai 78%. Maka kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematik siswa SMK kelas XI tergolong sedang.berpikir kreatif matematik, peluang

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika di setiap tingkat pendidikan lebih berorientasi pada peningkatan kecerdasan siswa dibanding perkembangan kreativitas siswa. Bagi siswa terkadang hasil belajar lebih penting dibandingkan proses saat mereka belajar. Sehingga, siswa lebih mementingkan nilai daripada ilmu yang mereka dapatkan. Dalam pembelajaran matematika di MTs Negeri Sukasari Cimahi, mengenai materi SPLDV, siswa kelas VIII G merasa kesulitan dalam: 1) memahami informasi pada soal cerita SPLDV, dan 2) mengingat dan mengaplikasikan metode-metode penyelesain pada soal SPLDV. Pendekatan open-ended digunakan sebagai salah satu strategi pembelajaran agar terjadi peningkatan pada kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan 2 siklus dengan setiap siklus terdiri dari 2 pertemuan. Sebelum dimulai tindakan dilakukan tes awal kepada siswa, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan siklus I dan siklus II yang menggunakan pendekatan open-ended. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa terlihat dari ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa yaitu pada hasil tes awal tidak ada siswa yang nilainya melebihi KKM, pada siklus I terjadi peningkatan sebesar 30,6%, pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan sebesar 47,2%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri Sukasari Cimahi dapat ditingkatkan melalui pendekatan open-ended.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive study that aims to find out the difficulties faced by students in solving the problem of understanding mathematical concepts. Indicators of the ability to understand concepts as learning outcomes of mathematics are as follows: (1) The ability to restate a concept; (2) The ability to clarify objects according to certain characteristics in accordance with the concept; (3) Ability to give examples and not examples; (4) Ability to present concepts in various forms of mathematical representation; (5) Ability to develop necessary requirements or sufficient requirements from a concept; (6) Ability to use, utilize and choose certain procedures; (7) Ability to clarify concepts or algorithms to problem solving. The subject of this study was 80 students of class VIII SMP PGRI 1 Cimahi 2017/2018 school year. The instruments in this study included the ability test sheet to understand concepts and interview guidelines. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that students cannot arrange the meaning of words that are thought in the form of mathematical sentences, less careful, forgetfulness, less practice in working on the problems of storytelling with varying ones and lack of understanding the questions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine about the development of students. This research method used is Single Subject Research (SSR) with basic design of A-B. The techniques of data collection used observation and interview to determine difficulties and the ability understanding mathematical students. The results of this study indicate that kontruktivisme approach can improve understanding mathematical students. It can be seen from the average score obtained by the student before the treatment given that is 11,75 and increased to 77,88 after treatment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning approach through the cooperative learning model of the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) type, toward the problem solving skills of vocational high school students. The population in this study were all students of SMK Industri Mandiri Karawang, with each 20 selected samples from class X-TKJ and AKA. The instruments used were a test of problem solving skills as many as 5 items. The result of the study show the achievement of problem solving abilities of students who get learning with the Problem Based Learning approach through the cooperative learning model Team Assited Individualization type is better than the class that uses ordinary Problem Based Learning.

Abstract

This research is based on facts in schools on implementing Kurtilas, students are demanded to think more scientific. Kurtilas is concerned about critical thinking skill of mathematics for solving problems. To gain increased on critical thinking skill of Mathematics, the researcher used Metaphorical Thinking by Deskriptif Kualitatif method. This research was conducted at SMPN 22 Depok and used VII grade as the research samples. The qualitative data was gained from trying out the result of students critical thinking skill of mathematics. The research result shows that Metaphorical Thinking Approach can increase critical thinking skill of mathematics of junior high school students on the triangular material.

Abstract

This research aims to finding out and study the achievement and improvement off critical thinking skill off junior high school student with Problem Based Learning approach and using ordinary approach. The method used is an experimental method that involves two classes chosen at random selected classes i.e. VII A class using the Problem Baseed Learning and class VII B using a regular learning approach. The instrumen using is critical thingking skill. The results test analysis of postes data the value sig (2-tailed) is 0.002, while the test results of the difference of two average data gain, sig value (2-tailed) is 0.003. The findings in this studi were the achievement and improvement of the mathematical critical thinking skills of junior hiigh school students using the Problem Based Learning better than those using the usual approach

Abstract

This research is aims to improve learning approach Discovery learning and Self Confidence to junior high school students on two linears equation. The research was conducted in one of Junior High School in Purwakarta. understanding of students in understanding the concept of system of linear equations of two variables is still very low because students emphasized the use of  formulas and routine exercises. because of that, the researcher seeks to apply learning approach Discovery Learning to stundents Self Confidence. this research uses classroom action research method which is implemented through two cycles consisting of one cycle on one meeting. the instrument used is the observation sheet, interview, preliminary tests and tests each cycle. In the preliminary tests showed that confidence in the mastery of the concept of linear equations of learners is still very low. On the cycle of a stundent's activities is listening explanation about the matter of concept of linear equation of two variable, identifiying, collecting information, and solving the problems that the teacher provides. On the one cycle many students are still confused in understanding the two-variable linear equation material and their confidence are still very low. In the second cycle the students has improved in understanding the concept of linear equations of two variables and has a good selfconfidence. The result of this research showed that the used of learning approach Discovery Learning on stundent's self confidence  on understanding the concept of linear equations of two variables has increased.
