Abstract

Elder abuse has continued to be a serious concern to many stakeholders in the world and Nigeria as reported by researchers, as well as various media platforms. It is from this fact that this present study examined the role of social support and socio demographic factors on elder abuse in Ile-Ife Osun state, Nigeria. Theory of social exchange provided the theoretical framework while a descriptive survey was adopted. Three hundred and ninety-two (392) respondents (Males = 192, Females = 200, M = 70.77, S.D. = 6.33) were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire comprising demographics variables, elder abuse scale (α = .65), and social support scale (α = .94). Data were analysed using T-test for independence measure and analysis of variance (ANOVA). T-test for independent statistics revealed that social support differentiated the experienced elder abuse t(390) = -3.33; p < .001). There were some gender differences in elder abuse (t(390) = 2.20; p = .028). There was no significant relationship between socioeconomic status and elder abuse (F(3, 389) = 1.46;  p = .225). The study concluded that social support and gender played a vital role with elder abuse in Osun state. The study, therefore, recommended that government should provide appropriate social support such as prompt payment of pension and gratuity, provision of feeding, good, as well as living arrangements with special attention on elderly men

Abstract

The research objective was to determine the relathionship between permissive permissive parenting styles with bad moral behavior and the implications of individual counseling if there is a relathionship between permissive parenting styles with students bad moral behavior. The research method used is a correlational quantitative type with a survey approach. With a sampel size of 104 students. The questionnaire used is a likert scale wich contains 22 statement items for permissive parenting, and 11 statement for bad morals. Based on the result of the pearson product moment correlation test, the results are 0,555. The correlation coefficient was consulted with table r at a significance level of 5%, namely 0,1622. The correlation coefficient of 0,555 means that the level of strength of relationship (correlation) between the permissive parenting style variables with morally is not good, namely the moderate/adequate category. The correlation number is the results above is positive, namely 0,555, so the relationship between the two variables is unidirectional.the conclusion is that there is a significant and unidirectional relathionship between the permissive parenting style of the students with bad morals, which means that the higher the permissive parenting, the higher the bad morals of the students. The counseling teacher effectively implies individual counseling services to alleviate the bad moral problems of students at SMA PGRI 24 Jakarta.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui adanya hubungan pola asuh dan kepedulian orang tua terhadap kedisplinan belajar siswa kelas VIII F dan G di SMP negeri 5 kota jayapura. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument yang berupa kuesioner. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 60 siswa, sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 52 siswa yang ditentukan dengan rumus Isaac dan Michael.dengan taraf kesalahan 5% selanjutnya teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara random. Hasil penelitian ini terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan dengan variabel pola asuh orang tua diperoleh nilai sebesar +0.752 (X1) dengan sig 0.030 < 0,05. Variabel kepedulian orang tua mendapatkan nilai +0.473 (X2) dengan sig 0,015 < 0,05. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan pola asuh dan kepedulian orang tua dengan kedisiplinan belajar siswa kelas VIII F dan G di SMP Negeri 5 kota Jayapura.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengekplorasi pada pengembangan awal skala kecemasan statistik dalam pendidikan melalui Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian ex post facto. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 230 (laki-laki, n = 66; perempuan, n = 164) responden dari berbagai fakultas di Univeristas Negeri Medan dengan rentang usia 19-25 tahun. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan skala kecemasan statistik dengan 51 item pada skala likert 5 poin. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan EFA mengidentifikasi empat faktor dari 51 item, dengan nama faktor yaitu: Faktor 1, worth of statistics (24 item; loading faktor mulai dari 0.443 hinga 0.748); Faktor 2, interpretation anxiety (16 item; loading faktor mulai dari 0.448 hingga 0.777); Faktor 3, test and class anxiety (7 item; loading faktor mulai dari 0.477 hingga 0.661); Faktor 4, fear of statistics teachers (4 item; loading faktor mulai dari 0.367 hingga 0.757). Penelitian ini menetapkan item dengan loading faktor di bawah 0.50 tidak digunakan, seperti pada Faktor 1 terdapat tiga item,  Faktor 2 terdapat tiga item,  Faktor 3 terdapat dua item,  Faktor 4 terdapat dua item.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to describe the psychological well-being profile of adolescent victims of body shaming. The research method is descriptive analysis with a quantitative approach. The instrument uses Ryff's Psychological Well-Being Scale and body shaming questionnaire. The distribution of the questionnaire was carried out with the help of the Google Form application with a total of 30 respondents. 40% of respondents victims of body shaming indicate good enough psychological well-being, 26.67% of respondents indicate a good category, 26.67% of respondents indicate a very good category, and 6.67% of respondents indicate a poor category.  Adolescent victims of body shaming based on the percentage of the total score on each dimension of psychological well-being the largest is purpose in life (18.62%), followed by the autonomy dimension (17.80%), personal growth (17.72%), positive relations with others (16.08%), environmental mastery (16.08%), and the smallest percentage was obtained by self-acceptance dimension (13.70%). There is no significant difference in psychological well-being of adolescent victims of body shaming based on gender and age.

Abstract

The low student achievement is indicated because it is influenced by the level of game online and students learning motivation. The purposes of this study are 1) to determine the effect of online game addiction and learning motivation on learning achievement. 2) what is the percentage of the effect of online game addiction and learning motivation on learning achievement. Amounted 132 students with a sample 100 students who were determined by taking Non-Probability Sampling with the Accidental Sampling technique. To collect the data used questionnaire. Data analysis using regression test. The results of this study indicate that online game addiction and learning motivation contribute to student achievement by 65.1%. This means that 65.1% of the factors that effect student achievement are game addiction and learning motivation. The results obtained in this study can be used as input for BK teachers in an effort to reduce online game addiction and learning motivation with student achievement.

Abstract

Karyawan terlibat dalam proses pengambilan keputusan etis untuk memecahkan dilema etis dalam pelaksanaan tugasnya di tempat kerja. Perilaku pengambilan keputusan etis karyawan dapat diprediksi oleh seberapa besar niatnya. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi faktor yang paling berperan terhadap niat pengambilan keputusan etis dari perspektif Teori Perilaku Terencana. Survei dilakukan pada 250 orang Karyawan di Perusahaan X. Diperoleh hasil bahwa sikap merupakan faktor utama yang memperbesar niat untuk mengambil keputusan secara etis. Dengan demikian perusahaan dapat memperkuat niat karyawan untuk mengambil keputusan secara etis, dengan jalan memberi pemahaman tentang pengambilan keputusan etis agar sikap karyawan menjadi semakin positif terhadap pengambilan keputusan secara etis.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic that its first case in Indonesia found in March 2020 urged society to adapt to a new lifestyle. Offline meetings were restricted to avoid the transmission of COVID-19, therefore, online meetings have become a new lifestyle presently. This process of adapting to online’s lifestyle happens universally in such workplaces and educational institutions of kindergartens to colleges. This sudden adaptation makes society experience some pressure which also affects an individual’s stress and wellbeing. Teachers at one of the special needs schools in Sidoarjo, Indonesia, experience stress due to the pressures they had while adapting to online teachings. Resilience training is given as an intervention to help teachers decrease their level of stress. The training is scheduled for 3 (three) days and holds 6 (six) sessions via Zoom Meeting. The data result is analyzed using Wilcoxon differentiate test for resilience and perceived stress scores before and after the training. The result shows a difference between resilience and perceived stress scores before and after the training session with a significance score of 0,005 (p<0,05). This result concludes that resilience training can decrease the level of perceived stress that the teachers experienced.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui efektivitas art therapy dalam upaya menurunkan tingkat kecemasan. Penelitian ini adalah studi meta-analisis melalui reviu literatur yang melibatkan 13 jurnal internasional yang sesuai dengan variabel penelitian. Adapun jumlah total partisipan dari seluruh jurnal yang digunakan adalah 596 orang. Kegiatan art therapy yang dilakukan dalam proses intervensinya adalah art-making (seperti melukis, mewarnai, menggambar, dan membentuk clay). Berdasarkan pengolahan data Mean, Standard deviation, dan jumlah sampel yang digunakan, diperoleh nilai effect size cohen’s d sebesar 0,570 (95% CI = -1,022 sampai -0,117) dengan I² (inconsistency) = 83,4% (95% CI = 72,3% sampai 88,8%). Hasil pengolahan data juga menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat bias publikasi dalam penelitian. Dari nilai effect size cohen’s d tersebut, dapat dikatakan bahwa efek dari pemberian art therapy kurang efektif dalam menurunkan tingkat kecemasan yang dimiliki oleh individu.

Abstract

Resiliensi harus dimiliki oleh korban bullying sehingga dapat mencegah timbulnya depresi dan stres yang dapat berujung pada masalah yang lebih serius. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan resiliensi siswa yang menjadi korban bullying, serta membandingkan variabel tersebut antara siswa laki-laki dan perempuan. Studi cross sectional secara online mengukur 256 responden sehingga diperoleh sebanyak 106 siswa yang pernah mendapatkan perlakuan bullying. Peneliti menggunakan dua skala dalam penelitian ini yakni Multidimensional Peer-Victimization Scale & Resilience Quotient Test (RQ-Test). Statistik deskriptif digunakan untuk menggambarkan korban bullying dan resiliensi, kemudian independent sample t-test untuk menguji perbedaan resiliensi ditinjau dari jenis kelamin. Baik siswa laki-laki maupun perempuan memiliki resiliensi yang relatif tinggi, namun skor yang diperoleh siswa laki-laki lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa perempuan. Pengujian secara statistik juga menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan resiliensi di antara dua kelompok tersebut. Resiliensi perlu dimiliki oleh korban bullying. Di lingkungan sekolah, program layanan bimbingan dan konseling harus dimaksimalkan. Pencegahan dan penanggulangan bullying membutuhkan sinergi dan keseriusan semua pihak..
