Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic that has hit the world and Indonesia has greatly affected the business world and businesses, including Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Various efforts have been made by the government to overcome or at least reduce the impact felt by the community due to this pandemic, from PSBB, PPKM, free vaccination and so on, but this can only be successful if all elements in this country are united and united in overcoming spread of this virus. What about MSMEs? Although this type of business is among the most resilient in the face of all existing situations, without the right innovation and technology, these businesses also receive a negative impact on this pandemic. This article was compiled based on the results of research on 30 MSMEs with research locations in the areas of Surabaya, Gresik, Sidoarjo, Lamongan and Bojonegoro, to find out what the responses and efforts of these MSMEs were to face the pandemic. The selected MSMEs are businesses with evenly distributed criteria among businesses at the micro, small and medium level. Keywords: pandemic-covid 19, MSMEs, government, innovation and technology.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the role of education level, transformational leadership, and self-efficacy on the performance of village government officials in Purwojati District, Banyumas Regency. The sample came from the entire population, namely village government officials in Purwojati Regency totaling 180 respondents. This study uses a quantitative approach method. Social cognitive theory is used as the basis for the theory of the relationship between the variables studied. The data were processed using multiple linear regression analysis and the results showed that the level of education and self-efficacy had a positive and significant effect on performance, while transformational leadership had no effect on performance. Based on the test results of the adjusted R2 coefficient of determination of 55.90%. Keywords: Education Level, Transformational Leadership, Self-Efficacy, Performance

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the flypaper effect in testing the effect of Regional Own-source Revenue and financial balance transfer on Regional Expenditures in Regencies and Municipalities in Central Java from 2017-2020. The data analysis method in this study uses descriptive statistical test, classical assumption test using normality test, multicollinearity test, autocorrelation test, and heteroscedasticity test. Hypothesis testing used multiple linear regression test, F test (model feasibility test), t test (partial), coefficient of determination test (R2), and flypaper effect analysis. Based on the results of the F test (model feasibility test), it shows that the regression model is feasible to use in this study. Then partially Regional Own-Source Revenue (PAD), General Allocation Fund (DAU), Special Allocation Fund (DAK) have a significant positive effect on Regional Expenditure. Meanwhile, Revenue Sharing Fund (DBH) has no significant effect on Regional Expenditure. The results of this study indicate that the coefficient value of the General Allocation Fund (DAU) variable is greater than the coefficient value of Regional Own-Source Revenue (PAD), this illustrates that there has been a flypaper effect on Regional Expenditure in Regencies and Municipalities in Central Java from 2017-2020. Keywords: Flypaper Effect, Regional Own-Source Revenues, Fiscal Balance Transfer, Regional Expenditures

Abstract

Covid-19, the novel coronavirus, has brought the entire world to a halt. The virus was first reported by several local health officials in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China in late December 2019 (Zhu, et al., 2020). Although the infection had spread to hundreds of individuals in Wuhan by early January 2020, with roughly 11 million people placed under quarantine, the first diagnosis showed no evidence of such a disastrous impact on public life (Woodward, 2020). As the number of afflicted patients increased over the month, WHO declared the disease as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) on January 30, 2020 (Harchandani & Shome, 2021). By March 11, 2020, Covid-19 has been declared a pandemic (WHO, 2020). The pandemic’s harmful effects have been delineated in all aspects of life, and have had economic, political, social, and psychological ramifications (Bretas & Alon, 2020); (Ratten, 2020); (Sigala, 2020). Many economists regard the epidemic as a metaphorical “black swan” event, that is, unexpected, the unanticipated occurrence of immense magnitude and severe repercussions that profoundly transform the political and economic landscape (Winston, 2020) (Gregurec, Furjan, & Pupek, 2021), which caused business failures (Kuckertz, et al., 2020); (Amoah, Khan, & Wood, 2021). Following the global situation, Indonesia is also dealing with the same issue, with the Covid-19 pandemic influencing Indonesia’s economic activities and business sectors. The decline in growth trends in 2020 and 2021 in the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic can also be seen in the textile and garment industry sector in Indonesia as quoted from data industry research compiled from the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) and Bank Indonesia (BI).

Abstract

The creative industry has shown promising growth within the last few decades globally and locally in Indonesia. However, the Covid-19 pandemic has presented major challenges for businesses in the industry. Most of the businesses in this industry have experienced significant loss of revenue as an impact of the crisis. Efforts are made to recover from the crisis, one of them is the implementation of digital infrastructure and technology. OOAA Puzzle as a part of the creative industry has implemented digitalization in its operations but is still facing marketing challenges that result in poor sales. Hence, this research is initiated in order to understand the influence of marketing mix on OOAA Puzzle’s customer purchase decision. This research is done by distributing questionnaires to 92 OOAA Puzzle’s customers as samples. The data is then analyzed using linear regression equation. This research concluded that price, place, promotion, process and physical evidence are influential to OOAA Puzzle’s customers' purchase decision. The result of data analysis shows that promotion is the most significant variable, followed by process, price, and lastly product, and physical evidence. These findings are then used as the basis of evaluation for this research’s subject to formulate an effective marketing mix strategy.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of entrepreneurial perceptions on the entrepreneurial intentions of school of tourism students which are mediated by entrepreneurial attitudes. The variables studied were Entrepreneurship Perceptions, Entrepreneurship Attitudes, and Entrepreneurial Intentions. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires using purposive sampling to 88 School of Tourism students from three departments, namely Hotel and Tourism Business, Food Technology Program, and Culinary Business. The method used is descriptive quantitative with multiple regression analysis which tests four hypotheses with one independent variable; Perception of Entrepreneurship and two dependent variables; Entrepreneurial Attitude and Entrepreneurial Intention. The research results prove that Entrepreneurship Perception and Entrepreneurship Attitude have a significant influence on students' Entrepreneurial Intentions. Variable Entrepreneurship Perception has a positive but not significant effect on students' entrepreneurial intentions. The Entrepreneurial Attitude variable completely mediates the relationship between Entrepreneurial Perceptions and Entrepreneurial Intentions. Thus, it can be concluded that students state the importance of building an entrepreneurial attitude, because having an Entrepreneurial Perception is not enough to build students' entrepreneurial intentions. In further research will be possible to conduct research with a wider population of different objects
