Abstract

For the last few decades, the Indonesian Oil Palm industry has contributed to economic development by reflecting on the percentage contribution to the Gross Domestic Product. However, most of those companies had a history of poor financial performance. Poor performance has been linked to inefficient corporate social responsibility. Thus, this study aimed to examine the relationship between corporate social responsibility and company performance. A quantitative research design approach was chosen, with a questionnaire developed for primary data collection via a survey of 231 Indonesian oil palm companies’ board of directors from three regions using the cluster random sampling technique. The partial least square regression was applied to analyze the relationship between the variables. The findings show that the dimension of corporate social responsibility such as environment responsibility and community responsibility have significant effect on company performance. The findings have various consequences for the company's owner, as well as stakeholder parties, who believe that the company should adopt the main corporate strategy to fulfil the interests of two parties. As a result, it will create positive vibes from those parties, which will result in better company performance. Abstract

In this paper, we propose to assess the efficiency scoretechniques of 10 Tunisian commercial banks for the period cover 1990 to 2018. The local banking landscape was marked, during the period studied, by significant changes following the adoption by the Tunisian government, of various financial liberalization measures as well as the period of the subprime crisis and then the revolution of 2011. Given studying the technical efficiency levels achieved by Tunisian commercial banks, we propose a non-parametric method, the approach DEA, data envelopment analysis, on the one hand, and the determination of the variables explaining the level of performance on the other. Our results allow us to conclude that the banks which obtained the best average efficiency scores are: Amen Bank (100%) and Arab Tunisian Bank (98.9%). Whereas, other banks are considered inefficient. To study the impact of banking performance indicators, a variable that measures the crisis, Equity, total assets, and total liabilities on the efficiency scores calculated by the DEA methodology, return on assets (ROA) and return on equity (ROE), we used an ECM error correction model in panel data. The results show the positive impacts of these indicators on banking performance in Tunisia.

Abstract

In this digital era, social media is growing very rapidly. Social media allows people to easily obtain, manage, and disseminate information. The use of social media is a new way to improve Personal Branding. Strengthening personal Branding is one of many ways to increase a person's or company's value or outlook. The Bali Institute of Design and Business is a private university in design and business that is integrated into the local Balinese culture. Being a private university is a challenge; you have to compete with private and public universities every year to attract prospective students. This study aims to explore the personal branding success strategies that IDB Bali has implemented on social media in depth. First, researchers use the concept and characteristics of Personal Branding. Then the research method used is descriptive qualitative and data collection techniques are interviews and documentation conducted with IDB Bali staff. The description in the study found that to strengthen personal Branding, IDB focused on the content and needs of followers on social media and prospective students interested in learning or going deeper into the world of design and business. The shared content is always blue and slightly orange with an up-to-date design. As the name implies a design and business campus, they always show the design and business side of every content and activity that is used as content on social media. Then since they were founded as a design school, they have a rule that staff and students must re-share IDB Bali content on social media daily.
