Abstract

Universitas Multimedia Nusantara’s Film and Digital Journalism programs and Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) collaborated to produce five documentary movies on anti-corruption as part of a community service program. The production of the documentary movies was funded by the KPK, which aims to use the documentary in their anti-corruption campaigns. We chose the documentary format to emphasize data and facts. The documentaries feature civil servants in different cities across Indonesia, who have received awards or acknowledgment for their anti-corruption commitment and efforts in their respective organizations. They are Rifqi Abdilah (Probolinggo, East Java), Budi Ali Hidayat (Cimahi, West Java), Achmad Nasution (Boyolali, Central Java), Badrul (Sumenep, East Java) and Musdalipa (Pangkajene Islands, South Sulawesi). This documentary uses a strong film approach, with elements of narrative and film style in audio and visual elements. The production of this documentary film uses the stages of documentary film production, namely research, pre-production, production, post-production, exhibition, and film distribution. The KPK will screen the documentary movies in their anti-corruption campaign events across the country.

Abstract

Lighting lamps are usually operated manually by humans. With current technological advances, human intervention in operations is being reduced. An automatic switch will make operations easier, effective and efficient to avoid lights burning in vain without any activity. The aim is none other than to avoid wasting electrical energy. This dedication takes the topic of designing a bridge lighting installation for a group of fishermen. This automatic switch uses input in the form of a Passive Infrared (PIR) human presence sensor and a light dependent resistor (LDR/Photocell) type light intensity sensor. PIR is a pyroelectric sensor which has a momentary response to the movement of objects and heat energy in living things. The heat source is radiated with infrared. The human body produces heat energy which is radiated by infrared. The human body's heat radiation will be received by the sensor for the circuit input response. The complete circuit consists of a passive infrared sensor, fresnel lens, main circuit, power supply, LDR and lighting load. In essence, the PIR and LDR will be transistor drivers. The transistor functions as an electronic switch that will disconnect and connect the lighting load. Light installation is carried out in the RT area. 26 Manggar Baru Subdistrict. Installing these lights is very beneficial for local residents, especially for fishermen when they want to dock their boats after fishing.

Abstract

Yoga practice is beneficial for bodily health, emotional stability and a calm spirit and is a recommended exercise for the elderly. This Community Service aims to improve the health of the elderly through yoga by revitalizing existing programs through modified movements and easier guidance through yoga cards. The activities were carried out at Prosperous Family Service Center for 10 elderly people with age criteria of 50 to 60 years, without physical impairment. This activity also involved elderly cadres in an effort to ensure the continuity of activities at PPKS. The instruments needed are a chair, a 35 cm bamboo stick as a supporting tool in achieving the target organ being trained. Elderly Yoga exercises are carried out once a week for 4 weeks and practice independently at home using yoga cards that have been made by the Community Service Team. At each meeting, the elderly do yoga exercises for a maximum of approximately 60 minutes, blood pressure checks and interviews are carried out regarding complaints felt before and after doing yoga exercises. The results of elderly people with hypertension show a decrease in blood pressure, both systolic and diastolic, and the physical complaints felt by the elderly decrease and even disappear. PPKS should be able to increase the role of existing elderly cadres to be able to further motivate and revive efforts for elderly health programs, one of which is through Elderly Yoga.

Abstract

The Bengawan Solo River has a large and important role in the lives of the people in its flow from Central Java to East Java. However, it turns out that community activities often have an impact on Bengawan Solo, especially regarding pollution and environmental damage. One of the worrying phenomena is the blooming of Water Hyacinth, which occurred due to a long dry season, causing high concentrations of organic waste in river waters at the end of 2023. Increased human activities, including household activities, have resulted in higher amounts of waste being produced from time to time. The large amount of waste entering the river certainly causes an increase in river nutrients, thereby fertilizing Water Hyacinth along Bengawan Solo, including in the Kuncen village area, Padangan sub-district. So that household waste does not cause problems for the environment and health, it is necessary to carry out further processing of the waste. One type of household waste, namely vegetable waste, can be a source of alternative raw materials to be used as eco-enzyme products. LPPM Bojonegoro University in collaboration with Jasa Tirta I carries out community assistance activities by providing education and campaigning for awareness of the importance of maintaining the environmental condition of the Bengawan Solo river. This education and campaign is also aimed at minimizing waste from households, especially organic waste, so that there is no accumulation of nutrients that cause water hyacinth blooms. By implementing this community service, it was found that housewives' insight into managing household waste, especially vegetable scraps, increased, so that the waste could be managed into eco enzymes which are beneficial for the environment.

Abstract

MSME, from the beginning to the end recognized as businesses, always tries to get information for the recognition of the business. But in fact, in the middle of the way, the spirit of business is broken by the government regulation procedures which lead to updates every year. We, as researchers and practitioners, have to initiate in helping business actors or MSMEs in providing socialization to mentoring. Especially in the government activities in 2022, BPJPH targeted 30 thousand halal-certified products. By targeting Indonesia as the center of the halal industry, SMEs and MSMEs must get a halal certificate first through the PPH assistance program with the Business Actor Statement scheme or known as Self Declare. This service took place in Sumbersekar Village, Dau District, Malang Regency with a focus on MSMEs in sharing knowledge and PPH assistance by using this Participatory Action Research, this service passes four stages, namely: planning, doing action, observing, and reflecting. The implementation was done in some action stages by using PAR method as follows: MSMEs mentoring in Sumbersekar Village got some changes: first, MSMEs are able to identify problems, such as not having PIRT, NIB, and brand; second, they enhance the understanding that entrepreneurship should be started as the foundation of the government regulations to build the economic independence; third, they are able to do activities in line with the PPH knowledge sharing to mentoring. The results of the service were obtained from 23 MSMEs that were recorded and 15 MSMEs managed to obtain a Business License and obtain Halal Certification, while the remaining 8 MSMEs were still constrained by the licensing process because they were still making product brands. These 8 MSMEs, of course, still get service assistance until they get the expected license letter.

Abstract

The waste problem is still a big problem in Indonesia. One of them can be seen at the Cipayung Final Disposal Site (TPA), West Java, which is currently overloaded. The amount of household waste produced is not commensurate with the capacity of the landfill. Therefore, community participation is very necessary in overcoming the waste problem. Seeing this condition, the residents of the Barazaki Housing Depok plan to start sorting and utilizing waste. However, unfortunately, based on the results of interviews with RT heads, there are still many residents of Barazaki Housing who have not sorted and utilized their waste. This is due to a lack of knowledge regarding how to sort and utilize waste both technically and economically. Many residents do not know the fact that waste can generate additional economic income so they are not motivated to sort or utilize waste. This PkM aims to realize a program for sorting and processing household waste with the economic value of the results of processing household waste. The method used is education regarding waste sorting and utilization, both technically and economically. The result of this PkM activity is that the majority of Barazaki housing residents understand that waste can provide added economic value and they are willing to sort and process inorganic and organic waste. PkM participants were very enthusiastic because the content of the PkM counseling was very interesting and useful, the material was delivered well, and the objectives of the PkM activities were clearly conveyed.

Abstract

The Trisakti University Community Service Program (PKM) was carried out in Cisarua Village, Nanggung District, Bogor Regency, West Java, in collaboration with the local Regional Government. Stakeholder partners served as facilitators for this project, which aimed to socialize and establish sustainable mining practices for miners and communities around gold mines. Cisarua Village, located in Nanggung Regency, is known for having potential mineral resources, particularly gold deposits, which are often collected by mining communities both individually and collectively. However, this mining activity has major negative effects, leading the government to stop it, one of which being its damaging environmental impact. Environmental issues and land conditions following gold mining provide significant risks and concerns, including mercury and cyanide contamination, which are harmful to human life and the surrounding environment. One of the most significant issues has been the lack of reclamation of mine holes caused by human mining activity. Based on these issues, the team demonstrated the public on good and correct mining practices (GMP). The team is collaborating with local communities and governments to develop ways to predict future implications of gold mining activities. PKM activities are carried out by offering materials and discussions that have proven effective in developing community knowledge. The survey of 25 respondents showed that a greater understanding of good mining practices. Survey results show that previously 61% of respondents did not understand about GMP. After implementing education and training through PKM, there was an increase of 11% in understanding of GMP. This shows the effectiveness of the program in increasing awareness and knowledge about good and correct mining practices among participants.
