Pharmacy care services in hospital pharmacy installations in Jambi city are not influenced by current pharmaceutical practices in hospitals. Where pharmacists consider awareness of pharmacy care services while in practice not. So that the implementation of pharmacy care is influenced by the pharmacist's awareness of the care of pharmacy.

The type of research used was the experiment with the design of the pre-test and post-test with control group. The number of samples was 30 Students of the Dental Nursing Department in Jambi. The sample was divided into two groups, the treatment group and the control group did not consume candy containing sorbitol. Data analysis using t test. Plaque was measured using a modified plaque index Quigley & Hein (1970) before and after consuming sweets containing sorbitol. the independent variable is candy containing sorbitol and as a dependent variable is the plaque index. Research Results Shows that there are significant differences before and after consuming sweets with Sorbitol ingredients with a sig value of 0.000 (<0.005). For the average value before the consumption of sweets with Sorbitol ingredient is 4,807 and after consuming sweets with sorbitol ingredients with an average of 2,273. Candies containing sorbitol can be recommended as an alternative candy to prevent caries in children and adults.

ABSTRACT Babies with low birth weight (LBW) are babies born with a body weight of less than 2,500 grams. In Jambi Province the incidence of LBW reached 7.12% and the incidence of LBW in the H Abdul Manap General Hospital in Jambi City increased. This study is an analytical survey study with a case control design, to determine the relationship of age and parity with the incidence of LBW using secondary data medical records at H Abdul Manap Hospital in Jambi City. The population was all mothers who gave birth as many as 612 mothers. Case samples were 49 women who gave birth to LBW and 49 women gave birth to normal babies. The sampling technique is total sampling while the control sample uses simple random sampling. The results showed that 19 (38.8%) respondents were at risk and 30 (61.2%) respondents were not at risk. Furthermore, 29 (59.2%) respondents had risky parity and 20 (40.8%) respondents were not risky parity. The statistical test results obtained p-value 0.00 <0.05 means that there is a relationship of age with the incidence of LBW with an OR value (9.71), and parity with a p-value of 0.02 <0.05 means that there is a relationship with the incidence of LBW, OR (2.49). It is expected that the hospital will provide education about the care of pregnancy, especially during the antenatal examination in the class of pregnant women including an explanation of the distribution of iron, vitamins, and folic acid.

ABSTRACT Background: Infection is one of the biggest health problems in the world. According to WHO 2015 based on YLL (Years Of Life Lost) data in developing countries infectious diseases are still the main cause of death. Staphylococcus is the main cause of purulent infections in humans found in the nasal cavity and skin of most human populations. One skin disease caused by the bacterium Staphylococcus aureus is a boil. Staphylococcus aureus has experienced antibiotic resistance. So from that the alternative that can be done is by using natural or traditional ingredients, namely by utilizing rosella flower petals (Hibiscus Sabdariffa L.). The purpose of this study was to determine the inhibitory power of rosella (Hibiscus Sabdariffa L.) flower extract on the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. Method: This study is a descriptive study with four treatments with 70%, 75%, 80% and 85% concentration variations using Univariate statistical test data analysis. Results: Diameter of inhibition zone formed at 70% concentration of 14.4 mm, concentration of 75% 15.7 mm, 80% concentration of 16.4 mm, 85% concentration of 19.6 mm. Conclusion: Ethanol extract of rosella flower petals (Hibiscus Sabdariffa L.) has antimicrobial substances which can inhibit the growth of staphylococcus aureus bacteria at a concentration of 85% with a mean inhibitory zone 19.6 mm and categorized as strong.

Summary Jambi City is still the highest contributor of dengue sufferers from 11 regencies/cities in Jambi Province. The target of controlling the Aedes sp mosquitoes has not been selectively carried out yet because there is no information regarding the diversity of populations and the characteristics of breeding place for Aedes sp in endemic areas of dengue in Jambi City. The problems examined about the dominant dengue potential vector and the type of breeding place. So the purpose of this study was to know the dominant population between Ae. aegypti and Ae. albopictus which was caught with an Aspirator Backpack and its characteristic of breeding place. The research method was descriptive with the approach of exploration studies for Aedes sp mosquitoes in the 5 highest sub-districts of DHF rate. The amount of samples were 100 houses every village which selected by random sampling. The results of the study stated that Aedes albopictus was found more dominantly, the highest ratio of Aedes albopictus mosquitoes were in the Lingkar Selatan Village with a ratio of (11: 1), and The Kenali Besar Village with a ratio of 9: 1. The same thing with the ratio of Aedes albopictus larvae, there were 3 sub-districts located on the suburbans of Jambi City, they were Kenali Besar Village, Talang Bakung Village and Lingkar Selatan Village. The villages had a ratio of Aedes albopictus larvae six times greater than the ratio of aedes albopictus in villages where not in the suburban of Jambi City. This study also found that the baths (47%) and drums (28.5%) were the largest breeding sites for Aedes sp larvae. The researcher expected that there will be a further research about the percentage of Aedes sp which are infected with the dengue virus so it can prove that Aedes albopictus is the main vector of DHF in Jambi City.

Good oral hygiene is a challenge for orthodontic patients because food easily becomes trapped around brackets and under archives so that it is a barrier during brushing. Mechanical tooth cleaning is the most effective effort to prevent plaque from occurring, one of which is by brushing teeth. Although a toothbrush is the most effective mechanical tool for cleaning plaque, the effectiveness of brushing teeth also depends on the shape of the toothbrush, the long frequency of brushing teeth and a good method for everyone to use. This study aims to determine the effect of using orthodontic toothbrushes on the status of oral and dental hygiene in fixed orthodontic users in students of SMK Negeri 3 Banda Aceh. This type of research is quasi experimental. The subjects in this study were all students who used fixed orthodontics 30 people, then divided into two groups, the intervention group consisted of 15 people given intervention (brushing using orthodontic toothbrushes) and the control group consisted of 15 people who were not given intervention (brushing teeth using a conventional toothbrush). The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling Analysis of the results of data (quantitative) in this study using; using the non parametric t test (Wilcoxon) and Mann Whitney. The results showed that there were differences in the mean values of dental and oral hygiene status (PHP-M index) in the treatment group and the control group which were statistically significant (p <0.05) before and after brushing using conventional orthodontic and toothbrush toothbrushes on fixed orthodontic users in students of SMK Negeri 3 Banda Aceh. There was a significant difference in the PHP-M Index after the intervention (post-test) between the treatment groups (brushing teeth using orthodontic toothbrushes) and the control group (brushing using conventional toothbrushes), this was shown statistically p <0.05) . It is recommended that you always maintain oral hygiene so that the teeth and gum tissues remain healthy by brushing your teeth, at least twice a day, namely after breakfast, and the night before
