Abstract

Abstract The occurrence of an earthquake will cause damage to the soil structure which is called liquefaction. One of the damage to the soil structure is liquefaction. This event will affect the structure above, especially if it occurs in saturated sandy soils. The purpose of this study is to analyze the probability liquefaction based on N-SPT, and to analyze the relationship between soil and seismic parameters with the probability of liquefaction. The calculation method of liquefaction potential analysis begin by using equations suggested by the National Center for Earthquake Engineering Research (NCEER) USA based on N-SPT data to determine the liquefaction potential deterministically. Then continued with the probability calculation method proposed by Haldar & Tang (1979), Hwang et al (2004), Sonmez & Gokceoglu (2005), and Juang et al (2004). The results of the analysis show that the research location is a potential liquefaction area with a level of danger that is almost certain that it will liquefy or a probability of above 85%. The relationship of soil parameters on the probability is of N-SPT value correlated with a decrease in the probability value of liquefaction. The probability of liquefaction above 85% occurs in the N-SPT value range of 0-20, while below 85% occurs at the N-SPT value of 20-50. The increase in the value of the earthquake magnitude correlates with the high probability value of liquefaction. Keywords : Liquefaction, N-SPT data, Probability, Earthquake magnitude

Abstract

AbstractWater is one of the basic human needs in meeting daily needs. Groundwater around the residential area on the labor-intensive road, Urban Sari sub-district, Rumbai sub-district has poor water conditions. This can be proven by the release of cloudy and rusty water. One of the water treatment efforts that can be done is by using a filtration process using activated carbon as a filtration material with the type of filtration media, namely single media. The purpose of this study was to determine the decrease in the parameters of turbidity, pH, total dissolved solids (TDS) using activated carbon media of palm shells, coconut shells, sawdust, and rice husks on water quality based on Minister of Health Regulation No.492 of 2010. The method used is the filtration method with a simple filtration device with a diameter of 4 inches and a length of 80 cm, and the thickness of each activated carbon is 30 cm and the filtration process with three filtration times, namely 2 hours, 4 hours, and 6 hours. The results showed that the four variations of activated carbon were proven to be able to improve water quality. The best-activated carbon in improving water quality from the turbidity parameter is sawdust activated carbon with a decreasing percentage of 75.09%, for pH and TDS parameters, namely rice husk activated carbon with a pH of 14.45%, and a TDS of 73.35 %. In conclusion, from the four variations of activated carbon, the best in improving water quality is the turbidity parameter, namely sawdust activated carbon, for the pH parameter, namely rice husk activated carbon, for the TDS parameter, coconut shell activated carbon. Keywords: Activated Carbon, Turbidity, pH, Total Dissolved Solids

Abstract

AbstractIn fact, plastic waste after being used becomes trash and makes the environment dirty. There are many ways to make waste useful by recycling, using it for decoration and so on. Much plastic waste is applied to concrete mixtures and pavement mixtures as a substitute for sand. The use of plastic scraps as sand is applied to the pavement layer of Hotmix to increase the value of road stability, flexibility and resistance to fatiq. Plastic wastehdpe will be used on the LASTON AC-WC pavement type. Pavement for class I roads, with pavement criteria referring to the Marshall Method. Sand quality from Lumajang and gravel from Pasuruan. The design with variations of 4.5%, 5%, 5.5%, 6% plastic is replaced by 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% for sand size Ø 2.36 mm. The parameters that are reviewed are the stability and melting as well as the optimum level of asphalt, then a conclusion is drawn whether they meet the existing hypothesis. This research is continuation of 2017 research. Follow up, will be carried out further research (year 2020), with variations of plastic waste and a review of other mechanical properties in terms of the effect of addition on flexible pavement behavior. Keywords: HDPE plastics, hotmix, laston, stability, flow and KAO

Abstract

AbstractThe normalization and widening work volume of the Kali X is huge, it needs heavy equipment for its implementation. The type of usable heavy equipment varies, whilst the greater the capacity of the used equipmen, the more expensive the cost. Therefore, research is needed to observe the effect of heavy equipment composition on its optimal cost. The data needed are plan drawings, RKS, volume of work, equipment rental prices and wages, schedules and S curves. We determine the optimal tool costs using simplex method with the LINDO application and analyse the effect using linear regression analysis with SPSS. The obtained results of the effect analysis show that the composition of heavy equipment (expressed by total tool productivity) contributes a very strong and significant influence to the optimal cost of heavy equipment with R2 = 0.967 in clearing excavation work, R2 = 0.908 in ordinary excavation work, and R2 = 0.985 on embankment work. This shows that the composition of heavy equipment with lower productivity means the cost of using the tool is getting cheaper, so the results of optimizing the cost of using the tool are focused on the composition of tools with the lowerst productivity. Keywords: Excavation work, embankment work, combination of heavy equipment, optimal cost

Abstract

AbstractRCC (Roller Compacted Concrete) is one of the results of innovation in the field of building materials, this material is made from a mixture of coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, cement and water in a certain ratio which is compacted by rolling. This material can be used for road pavement. RCC was chosen because it has advantages, one of which is that this material is able to produce a higher compressive strength at a young age, the pavement is smoother than conventional concrete and is not slippery so it does not need to be roughed/grooved. This advantage is needed in road pavement construction work, especially on roads that are immediately operated or implemented during the rainy season. The results showed that, with variations in the amount of compaction 12 times, 16 times, 20 times, 24 times, 32 times and 40 times, which were carried out on the thickness of the RCC. 5 cm, 6 cm and 7 cm. significant effect on the compressive strength of concrete, and the form of the equation, for a thickness of 5 cm at the age of 28 days: y = -0.0873x2 + 7.5459x + 158.83, for a thickness of 6 cm at the age of 28 days: y = -0.1403x2 + 13.33x + 86,397 and for 7 cm thick at 28 days old: y = -0.0456x2 + 5.2617x + 275.35Keywords: RCC, Roller Compacted Concrete, Road Pavement.

Abstract

AbstractConstruction project work is one of the main sectors that are important in economic development. When the implementation of the project takes place, there are 3 important things that need to be taken into account, namely covering cost, time and quality. A project is declared successful when it has fulfilled these three things. Construction delays are considered one of the recurring obstacles in the construction industry and have an adverse effect on the success of the project. In the construction project Apartment 'X' experienced delays for architectural work with a deviation of -48.359% in February 2021. This study describes the delay in architectural work based on human factors, management factors and other factors. The purpose of the study was to determine the probability of delay with the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) method. The priority of using the FTA method is to be able to analyze the causes of failures in a system in detail, structured and easy to understand. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires as many as 19 project respondents who had met the research criteria. The results showed that the probability of delay for architectural work was 0.921 with the dominant factor being the human factor caused by repair and rework work with a probability of 0.309. That is, the possibility of delays in architectural work occurs because of the variables listed. Keywords: Fault Tree Analysis, Project Delays, Causes and Impacts of Delays

Abstract

AbstractThe idea of green building is adopted in residential dwellings to reduce environmental concerns by enhancing the environmental quality that impacts the health of building occupants and the surrounding environment. The application idea of green buildings is to address ecologically friendly features, which may be accomplished utilizing the Greenship Rating Tools evaluation requirements for residential construction. Prior to the building of housing, the most significant feature of this thesis is to conduct a technical and financial feasibility analysis. The Malang Residential Home data utilized in this study will be constructed on a 2-hectare plot with three house types: 48/66, 70/84, and 80/112. The necessary information consisted of a site plan, home design drawings, house technical specifications, and Malang's basic unit pricing for the 2018-2019 fiscal year. The evaluation of technical feasibility will be based on three parameters: BBC, BFC, and GBC. The financial viability will be evaluated using four parameters: NPV, BCR, IRR, and PBP. Additionally, the sensitivity would be examined based on variations in the proportion of capital, as well as an increase or decrease in the project's income and outcome. The research determined the technical feasibility of BBC to be between 60 and 75 percent, BFC to be between 0.60 and 1.0%, and GBC to be greater than 10%. The satisfaction of Parameter Greenship Rating Tools was awarded scores ranging from 3542 to 3542, placing Malang Residential Housing in the silver category. The financial feasibility analysis yielded NPV of IDR 1,382,745,228; BCR of 1.02; IRR of 59.75 percent; and PBP of 1 year and six months. Due to the sensitivity of the project's income and outcome to its viability, it was determined that the project was viableKeywords: green building, technical feasibility, financial feasibility
