Shoreline change can be an increase (accretion) or decrease (abrasion) of land on the coast due to human activities. This research aims to determine shoreline change occurs at Muara Gembong in 2011-2021 using coastline extracted from Landsat satellite imagery with band ratio and composite RGB methods. Shoreline changes were analyzed with Digital Shoreline Analysis (DSAS) using Net Shoreline Movement (NSM), End Point Rate (EPR), and Linear Regression Rate (LRR) statistical methods, to identify distance and rate of coastline change. Muara Gembong area is divided into Zone A located in the south and Zone B located in the north which is directly exposed to the Java Sea. Shoreline change for 10 years showed a tendency to accrete as far as 6.81 m. Rate of shoreline change value 0.18 m/year with accretion rate 12.24 m/year and abrasion rate -7.68 m/year. The total area of abrasion in 10 years comes to 805,562.41 m2 and the area of accretion is 881,897.24 m2. The direction of sediment transport in Zone A leads to the south or to the left of estuary, while in Zone B heading east or right of estuary. It is influenced by the greatest contribution of wave energy that propagates from the northwest.

Padina, one of the brown algae, grows in many tropical waters including in Lampung. Padina contains fucoidan, a sulfated polysaccharide, which has been shown to have a wide range of bioactivity. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of fucoidan Padina sp. from Lampung waters to enhance the non-specific immune response in Pacific white shrimp. Padina sp. was collected from Ketapang Beach, Pesawaran, Lampung then the Padina’s fucoidan was acidly extracted by previously method. Fucoidan then supplemented to 10 vananmei shrimp (size 10 g) each container (45 L) for 14 days. The study was conducted with a complete randomized design trial (CRD) consisting of 3 treatments and 4 repeats including fucoidan supplementation at a dose of 0 mg/kg (control); 750 mg/kg; and 1500 mg/kg of feed. Every day, shrimp were fed as much as 3% of biomass with a frequency of 4 times. Four nonspecific immune response of shrimp including total hemocyte count (THC), phagocytosis activity (PA), phagocytosis index (PI), and total plasma protein (TPP) were mesured on day 0; 7; and 14 after fucoidan supplementation. The results showed the administration of fucoidan extract Padina sp. gives significantly different results to THC and TPP enhancements. Supplementation treatment of 750 mg/kg fucoidan Padina is the best treatment to increase nonspecific immune response in Pacific white shrimp.

Vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) is one of Indonesia's leading cultivation commodities in the fisheries sector. The success of the vaname shrimp cultivation business cannot be separated from the water quality parameters, which play a role in supporting their growth and survival rate. Salinity is a water quality variable that plays a very important role in the growth and survival of Vannamei shrimp. The aim of this research was to study the growth and survival rate of vaname shrimp reared at low salinity. The research design used was a completely randomized design consisting of three treatments and four replications. These treatments had media salinities of 1 ppt, 3 ppt, and 5 ppt. Shrimp rearing is carried out in a 40-liter volume container with a stocking density of 40 fish per container, or 1 PL/L. Shrimp farming is carried out for 35 days. The observation parameters carried out during this research were Specific Growth Rate (SGR), Growth Rate (GR), Survival Rate (SR), Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR), Total Vibrio Count (TVC), and water quality in the maintenance media. The research results showed that media salinity of 3 and 5 ppt was the best treatment for increasing the growth and survival rate of vaname shrimp.

Pramuka Island is one of the islands in the Seribu Islands which has a number of marine ecosystems such as seagrass and macrozoobenthos. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between seagrass density and macrozoobenthos abundance. This research was carried out by applying the purposive sampling method to determine research locations at 3 stations and 3 plots with 50 m transect lines and Pearson Product Moment or simple correlation analysis to determine the relationship between seagrass density and macrozoobenthos abundance. The seagrass species found on Pramuka Island form mixed vegetation with 5 seagrass species and the highest density is Thalassia hemprichii. The macrozoobenthos found included the Holothuroidea, Bivalvia and Gastropod classes with the highest abundance being the Holothuroidea class. The relationship between seagrass density and macrozoobenthos abundance shows a strong relationship with a correlation value of 0.997 and shows a positive (+) linear direction, meaning that the higher the seagrass density value, the higher the macrozoobenthos abundance.

Exploration of microorganisms containing secondary metabolite compounds with antimicrobial properties, especially in marine fish pathogenic bacteria, is urgently required. This study aims to test the antibacterial effectiveness of endophytic fungal extracts from the mangrove plant Rhizopora apiculata in the Petengoran Mangrove Forest against pathogenic bacteria in marine fish such as V. alginolyticus and P. damselae spp. The endophytic fungal isolate found was a fungus from the genus Aspergillus sp after observing its morphological form macroscopically and microscopically. Ethyl acetate extract of mangrove endophytic fungi with a concentration of 500 µg/disc and 1000 µg/disc was dripped onto a 6mm paper disc and then placed on the pathogenic bacterial isolate. Measurement of the diameter of the clear zone produced around the paper disc after 24 hours concluded that the antibacterial effectiveness of the endophytic fungal extract against V. alginolyticus was 27.27% (500 µg/disc) and 32.32% (1000 µg/disc). Meanwhile, its effectiveness against P. damselae spp is 27.27% (500 µg/disc) and 34.82% (1000 µg/disc). The isolate extract from the endophytic fungus Aspergillus in this study has the potential to produce antibacterial compounds in marine fish pathogens.

This study aims to evaluate the PT TIMAH Tbk sea reclamation program, specifically the artificial reef program. The research was conducted from March to July 2024 at the artificial reef module sinking locations for the Obligatory Years of 2019, 2021, and 2023. The fish data collection method used a modification of the Belt Transect. The biomass calculation method was modified by adding several fish families that are economically valuable target fish. The location of the 2021 Obligatory Year artificial reef modules had the highest number of fish species (40 species), the highest H' value (3.20), and the heaviest biomass (2,908.80 kg/ha). The range of diversity values at all locations was between 1.80-3.20, falling under the criteria of "moderate" and "high." The range of dominance index values was between 0.06-0.36, falling under the "moderate" criteria. The range of evenness values was between 0.34-0.53, falling under the "moderate" and "low" criteria. The range of fish biomass values was between 129.66-2,908.80 kg/ha. The longer the artificial reef modules were submerged, the more schooling fish species increased, while target fish species decreased due to fishing activities. The criteria for the value analysis results refer to the criteria used for natural habitat calculations (coral reefs). Researchers recommend specific value criteria for artificial habitats in disturbed environmental conditions (offshore mining activities).

Tanjung Labu waters have a coral reef ecosystem and are rich in a variety of biota such as the Pomacentridae and Chaetodotidae families. This family is an indicator of the health of coral reefs and plays a role in maintaining ecosystem balance. The aim of the research is to calculate the abundance of the Chaetodontidae and Pomacentridae families and analyze the relationship between the abundance of Chaetodontidae and Pomacentridae fish and habitat characteristics in coral reef ecosystems. The research was carried out in March 2024 in the waters of Tanjung Labu. The method used is UPT (Underwater Photo Transect) for coral reefs and UVC (Underwater Visual Census) for coral reef fish and the PAST 4.03 application to determine the relationship. The research results showed that the average live coral cover was 51.15%, and the abundance of the Chaetodontidae and Pomacentridae families was 1/m2. The number of individuals and species of the Chaetodontidae family is 37 individuals and 3 species, while the Pomacentridae family is 386 individuals and 20 species. The Chaetodontiadae family relationship is positively correlated with basic substrate cover components such as abiotic and other fauna, as well as environmental parameters such as brightness and current speed, but is negatively correlated with live coral and the type of coral reef life form, while the Pomacentridae family relationship is positively correlated with the closure component. basic substrates such as coral reef life form and dead coral, as well as environmental parameters such as water depth.
