Abstract

Elementary school students’ interest in reading is still low, making it difficult to compete in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0. This research aims to analyze: (1) the implementation of the basic literacy program; (2) the description of students’ reading interests; and (3) the influence of the basic literacy program on students’ reading interests. This research uses a quantitative approach with an ‘ex post facto’ design. The population of this study was 25 elementary school students. Sampling was carried out using a total sampling technique, so 25 samples were determined. Data collection techniques use observation, questionnaires, and documentation, which are then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The research results show that the basic literacy program influences students’ reading interests. Apart from that, these two variables also have a significant linear relationship. This research has implications for the importance of getting students accustomed to reading since childhood. Of course, this habituation is not only based on binding schools' programs or policies but is accompanied by creative and innovative methods so that it can attract students’ interest.

Abstract

Motoric development in babies is very important; unfortunately, sometimes parents, as the closest family, do not provide enough stimulation to educate them. This study aims to analyze the infant's motoric development and its implications for Islamic education. Baby's motoric development consists of gross and fine motors; these two motors must develop normally according to their age. So the implications start with parental education, family roles, and the environment, which is very important for a baby's motoric development. This research uses library research with a qualitative approach, which comes from journals, articles, and books. The results of the analysis discuss that motor development is the most important thing for infants because infancy is a golden period that passes quickly and will not be repeated. In addition, this study explains the implications of infant motor development on the Islamic education concept, which affects mothers, families, and the environment, in addition to the urgency of infant motor stimulation.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that it is not uncommon for divisions between minority and majority groups to occur due to religious differences. The purpose of this research is to reveal the reality, challenges, and solutions in the implementation of Islamic education in the Muslim minority environment. This research uses case studies that intend to understand the problem in depth so that cases can be examined using complete data or information. As a result of the research, it was found that the implementation of Islamic education in Lembang Sereale, North Toraja Regency takes place harmoniously because all community members understand and apply the values of tolerance. The challenges faced are the absence of worship facilities, access to residents’ houses, which are far apart, making it difficult for religious extension workers to carry out their duties, the absence of Islamic Religious Education subject teachers, and the lack of guidance and motivation from parents due to limited knowledge and busyness. A solution step is support from the government of Lembang Sereale in response to the need to support the implementation of Islamic education. In addition, it takes the active role of religious instructors to provide religious knowledge.

Abstract

Delays in children's gross motor development are still common. Therefore, activities are needed that can stimulate children's gross motor development so that it can develop quickly and optimally. This study aims to (1) describe Pancasila gymnastics activities in kindergarten students and (2) analyze the implications of Pancasila gymnastics on children's gross motor development in kindergarten students. This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The object of research is group B1 students of Gita Ananda Kindergarten, Makassar City. The results of this study indicate that the application of Pancasila gymnastics activities is carried out through direct practice by the teacher using a projector and speaker. This method can attract children's attention to follow or do Pancasila gymnastics movements. This method makes children actively participate in performing gross motor movements according to what they see. In addition, Pancasila gymnastics has implications for children's gross motor development. The percentage increase in children's gross motor skills is from 65% to 70.6%. This research has implications for the importance of learning programs that train students' gross motor skills in kindergarten. This program is well prepared and implemented with methods that attract students so that they are interested in following movements that train their gross motor skills.

Abstract

Generally, learning Tajweed in Islamic boarding schools still uses the rote method so the Tajweed material seems difficult and boring. This research aims to (1) describe the application of audio-visual learning media in Tajweed learning, (2) describe the increase in students' Tajweed learning outcomes, and (3) test the effect of applying audio-visual learning media on improving students' Tajweed learning outcomes. This study used experimental research with a quasi-experimental design. The object of this research consists of two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The research object was chosen purposively from two classes at the Salafiyah Marhalah Ulya, Tahfidzul Qur'an As'adiyah Wonomulyo Islamic Boarding School. The experimental class was given treatment using audio-visual media, while the control class continued to use the textbook-based lecturing method. Data was collected using observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses a gain test. The research results show that the application of audio-visual media has an effect on increasing students' Tajweed learning outcomes. This research has implications for the importance of innovative and creative efforts by Islamic education teachers in creating audiovisual media for learning the Quran to welcome 21st-century education.

Abstract

The concept of Islamic education began to be oriented towards Western theory, and the study of the Quran as a source of Islamic education began to diminish. This research examines (1) the meaning of the term fitrah in the Quran and (2) its implications for the concept of Islamic education. This literature review study uses tafsir maudui (thematic interpretation) and pedagogical approaches in analyzing the data. The data sources consist of Quran, commentary books, and several relevant books and journals. The results of the research show that fitrah in the Quran is the default factory setting for humans. Fitrah is a divine chip implanted by God in humans so that they are ready to believe in monotheism, purify themselves, and worship God. Humans who carry out their fitrah have three characteristics: accepting and practicing Islam, being sincere, and having a strong faith. Actualization of the concept of human fitrah in Islamic education can be carried out by (1) making fitrah a basic human potential that needs to be developed, (2) making education the main path in developing fitrah, (3) creating a conducive educational environment (helping the development of fitrah), and (4) cultivating a work ethic in which there is harmony and balance between the depth of religious appreciation and activities that lead to increased welfare.

Abstract

The skill of public speaking is crucial for everyone in this era of informational globalization. Therefore, Islamic boarding schools, as cultivators of Muslim generations, must be capable of developing and discovering a public communication skills development system. This research aims to analyze the implementation of khitobah in developing students' public communication skills, which also has implications for improving students' social and religious behavior. The object of this qualitative research is the Al-Qonitat Miftahun Najah Tahunan Jepara Islamic Boarding School. Informants consisted of managers, teachers, and students who were selected purposively. Data was collected using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis techniques. The research results show that the implementation of the khitobah has fulfilled the elements of management. The khitobah program not only strengthens students' public communication skills but also improves social and religious behavior, such as empathy, social involvement, and strengthening interpersonal relationships. This research has implications for the importance of Islamic boarding schools including subjects or activities that support the development of public communication skills in their curriculum. Apart from that, it is also necessary to educate the public to change perceptions about the role and function of Islamic boarding schools in providing comprehensive education to students, including non-religious aspects such as developing communication skills.

Abstract

Kecerdasan sosial merupakan salah satu keterampilan penting yang harus dikembangkan sejak dini untuk mendukung keberhasilan anak dalam kehidupan sosial dan akademik. Penelitian ini berfokus pada peran orang tua, interaksi antara orang tua dan guru, serta strategi yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan sosial anak di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Swasta Muhammadiyah Samallangi. Konteks budaya dan nilai agama yang kuat di lokasi penelitian menjadikannya relevan untuk mengidentifikasi pola interaksi dan pembiasaan yang mendukung perkembangan sosial anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan orang tua dan guru, observasi partisipatif, serta analisis dokumen. Teknik purposive sampling digunakan untuk menentukan responden yang memiliki keterlibatan langsung dengan perkembangan sosial anak. Data dianalisis secara tematik untuk menggali pola interaksi dan strategi yang relevan dalam mendukung kecerdasan sosial. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa peran orang tua sebagai pendidik utama, komunikasi rutin antara orang tua dan guru, serta pola asuh demokratis menjadi faktor penting dalam mendukung kecerdasan sosial anak. Strategi seperti penggunaan cerita moral, kegiatan kelompok, dan penguatan hubungan emosional juga memberikan kontribusi signifikan. Kolaborasi yang baik antara orang tua dan guru menciptakan sinergi yang mendukung anak untuk mengembangkan keterampilan sosial seperti empati, kerja sama, dan penyelesaian konflik secara konstruktif. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan sosial anak tidak hanya bergantung pada pendidikan formal tetapi juga membutuhkan peran aktif keluarga.
