Abstract

Pedagogical competence is one of the professional competencies that every teacher must have. This is due to the urgency of pedagogical competence to understand students, conduct learning, and evaluation that ensures the quality of learning outcomes. However, this condition is difficult to apply to mismatch teachers because they do not have an adequate knowledge base. As a result, learning is only done to fulfill obligations. This research aims to find out the strategies carried out by mismatch teachers at SMA N 1 Gemolong in their efforts to optimize their pedagogical abilities, especially on the indicators of mastery of materials and learning activities. Qualitative research method with case study approach was used in this research. The population of this research is teachers of SMA N 1 Gemolong. The sample of this research is teachers who experience mismatch and are selected by purposive sampling method. The results showed that teachers carried out various strategies to implement pedagogical competence in mismatch subjects, namely elaborating material, simplifying learning outcomes, seeking references to learning practices from other teachers, and developing affective actions. These efforts are made on the basis of rational choices regarding moral responsibility as a teacher objectively. These efforts are ultimately able to maintain a balance of quality between the main subjects and mismath subjects.

Abstract

This study describes the background, existence, and function of Lontiok Traditional Houses, the traditional dwellings of the Malay ethnic group in Kampar Regency, Riau Province, Indonesia. Employing a historical method, the research focuses on archaeological reliefs as the primary source and interviews as the secondary source. Source criticism ensures data authenticity and reliability, while data interpretation involves field analysis and literature review. Findings reveal that Lontiok Traditional Houses are not merely physical structures but also embody traditional art and Minangkabau cultural continuity. The intricate carvings preserve cultural traditions and educate Kampar's younger generation. These houses, reflecting high values of customs, art, and culture, serve as cultural tourist attractions and venues for traditional events such as leadership installations, deliberations, and weddings. The inauguration on May 22, 1988, on Belimbing Island highlights their significance in preserving Minangkabau cultural heritage.

Abstract

Janti Park is a village-owned tourist attraction managed by BUMDes, which includes local community participation. BUMDes Jaya Janti continues to make various development efforts to maintain the existence of the Janti Park tourist attraction so that it can continue to provide benefits to the community. The purpose of this research is to find out how BUMDes implements the concept of community-based tourism in an effort to develop Janti Park tourist attractions in Klaten Regency. This research uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of the community-based tourism concept through community empowerment and community participation was able to develop tourist destination attributes at the Janti Park tourist attraction, namely attractions, amenities, accessibilities, and ancillary.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of online visitation service quality on the satisfaction of inmates at the Class III Women's Penitentiary in Manokwari. The background of this research highlights the importance of inmate rehabilitation programs based on the correctional system to develop well-rounded individuals, as stipulated by Law PAS-14.OT.02.02 of 2014 on Correctional Service Standards. Ensuring the rights of inmates, including visitation services, is essential for their well-being and reintegration. This quantitative study utilized a sample of 47 respondents. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression analysis, partial tests, and coefficient of determination tests. The findings indicate that the quality of online visitation services significantly influences inmate satisfaction. The study concludes by underscoring the necessity of enhancing visitation service quality to improve inmate satisfaction and support their reintegration process into society as responsible and productive members.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the process of social interaction between student athletes and regular students at SMA Widya Gama Malang, as well as how to overcome social problems in mixed classes of student athletes and regular students. Because researchers want to know the nature of social interactions formed between athlete students and regular students, who of course have different backgrounds and characteristics. This research uses a qualitative approach with a narrative research design. The theory used in this research is the theory of symbolic interactionism by George Herbert Mead, which holds that individuals form meaning through the communication process. This means that humans act towards other humans based on the meaning resulting from their communication process. This theory is also studied through three main concepts, namely Mind, Self, and Society. The results of this research show that the forms of social interaction carried out by the two types of students are influenced by the situations and conditions that occur in the field. Because not all ASIFA students have a character that is open to friends outside of fellow ASIFA athletes.

Abstract

The development of globalization has brought information technology to develop rapidly in aspects of life, especially the emergence of new media, namely TikTok. Many things underlie a person's behavior in using social media so that it provides a variety of patterns. This study aims to explain the motives for the TikTok application among SMA N 2 Boyolali students and what patterns are formed. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews, and document review. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that there are patterns of using the TikTok application in the form of diversion patterns used for entertainment, patterns of increased intensity use at night, to patterns created for informative purposes. The use of TikTok has many motives, it can even give rise to derivative motives due to its use. Broadly speaking, there are two main motives, namely the "because" motive which explains the reasons for using TikTok by students. This motive is an effort to adjust to trends, space for self-expression, and opportunities for economic activity. Meanwhile, the "for" motive is more future-oriented, such as investing in social capital, wanting to become content creators and influencers.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of the Wordwall-based Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and traditional lecture-based learning in enhancing students' critical thinking skills. Proficiency in critical thinking is crucial for effectively analyzing issues and proposing viable solutions. The PBL approach is particularly suited to developing students' critical thinking abilities by stimulating their cognitive skills and fostering consistent critical thinking practices. The research employed a quantitative methodology within a quasi-experimental framework, utilizing a non-equivalent control group design with 35 students in both the experimental and control groups. Data collection involved tests and observations, and analysis included descriptive analysis and prerequisite tests for normality and homogeneity. The statistical analysis used a paired sample t-test. Findings revealed significant differences between the experimental and control groups, with the experimental group showing higher average n-gain values (0.57 vs. 0.07) and percentages (56.85% vs. 6.70%), indicating greater effectiveness in improving critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study investigates the variables that affect the independence of Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in Bekasi District. It focuses on the importance of marketing strategy, e-commerce adoption, entrepreneur education, and entrepreneur motivation. Structured questionnaires were utilized to gather data from 156 MSME owners and students using a quantitative research approach. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) technique to test the proposed correlations. The results show that e-commerce usage, marketing strategy, and entrepreneur education all significantly increase MSME independence. Moreover, it was discovered that the correlations between these variables and MSME independence were mediated by entrepreneur motivation. The model fit indices highlight the validity and dependability of the study findings by showing that the structural model fits the data well. Policymakers, educators, and MSME owners aiming to encourage entrepreneurship and economic sustainability in Bekasi District and comparable places can benefit greatly from these findings.

Abstract

This study analyzes current trends in the integration of digital technologies with legal education and their impact on cybersecurity awareness among students. Through a bibliometric approach, the research identifies challenges, opportunities, and future directions in digital legal education, emphasizing the importance of a holistic approach that encompasses technical, digital rights, and ethical dimensions. While technology is increasingly embedded in legal education, human-centeredness and ethical considerations remain underrepresented in cybersecurity curricula. The findings reveal that current cybersecurity education predominantly focuses on technical and legal aspects, thereby neglecting critical humanistic factors necessary for comprehensive training. This paper underscores the need for more interactive and innovative educational strategies, such as collaborative learning and virtual reality simulations, to bridge the skills gap and adequately prepare students for the digital challenges of the modern world. Future research should further explore these strategies to enhance the effectiveness of cybersecurity education within legal studies, equipping students to navigate the complexities of a digitally driven age.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the influence of Shopee Live on increasing sales of Mia Glansie skincare products. The research method used is qualitative descriptive by analyzing sales data of Mia Glansie Skincare products in February 2024. Data is obtained directly from the source in the form of a table with 3 types of data, namely live orders, online orders, and offline orders which are made into graphs for comparison. The results of the study show that Shopee Live has a significant influence on the increase in sales of Mia Glansie Skincare products. This makes Shopee live very effective to support communication between sellers and buyers. This research has implications for online businesspeople to take advantage of the Shopee Live feature in increasing sales of their products.
