Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve student learning outcomes in the cognitive and psychomotor domains through the application of Project Based Learning learning models. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR). The CAR model used by C. Kemmis & Mc Taggart spiral model was implemented in 2 cycles. Data collection techniques are test techniques and non-test techniques. Research instruments using items and observation sheets. The data analysis technique used is descriptive comparative. Based on the results of the study showed that cognitive domain learning outcomes based on the percentage of pre-cycle learning completeness, cycle I and cycle II amounted to 41.67%; 50%; 75%. While the psychomotor domain learning outcomes based on the percentage of pre-cycle learning completeness, cycle I and cycle II were 50%; 75%; 91.67%. Thus the application of a Project Based Learning model can improve student learning outcomes in the cognitive and psychomotor domains of grade 1 students of SD.

Abstract

The role of teaching materials in the learning process is crucial, as they are served as the primary resources supporting students' learning endeavors. One of the various teaching materials have been developed, is ethnomathematics-based material, the latter often come with cultural limitations. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to identify teaching materials suitable for learning processes without cultural constraints. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method was employed for this study. Data collection involved gathering national and internationally indexed articles published within the last five years. Seventeen articles matching the keywords were selected from Google Scholar. The research findings indicate a requirement for teaching materials grounded in mathematical linguistic landscapes that transcend cultural boundaries. Consequently, there is a necessity to develop teaching materials, such as e-modules and worksheets (LKPD), grounded in mathematical linguistic landscapes to ensure inclusivity and accessibility for all students, regardless of cultural backgrounds.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is expected to be able to foster numeracy literacy skills and HOTS skills, in this case which is raised by social arithmetic material. This research is a development research using a four-D (4D) model, conducted on June 3, 2024 for 32 grade VII junior high school students. The instrument developed consists of 4 descriptive questions. The results of this study show that HOTS-based numeracy literacy development questions can be used to support numeracy literacy with a validity test conducted by as many as 32 respondents. The results are based on the calculation of the r value > 0.349, for df = 32-2 = 30, α = 0.05, then the item is valid, the reliability value of the question is 0.63, showing that the level of the instrument developed meets the reliability aspect.

Abstract

The ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) development model aims to create a polynomial material test instrument that can improve the mathematical reflective thinking abilities of Madrasah Aliyah (MA) students. Development begins with an analysis stage to determine learning needs and objectives. At the design stage, Protoype-1 was created which included various aspects of the assessment. Protoype-1 was tested on 30 class XI MIPA students at the implementation stage. The results of the instrument reliability analysis show a coefficient of 0.47 which is sufficient for the initial stage of development. The results of this research show that the test instrument created can differentiate students who have different levels of mathematical reflective thinking ability. The questions are of medium difficulty level from 1 to 5, which ensures that the questions are neither too easy nor too difficult for students. In addition, the discriminating power of the five questions tested was of a good level, indicating that the questions were effective in differentiating between students of different levels. The research results show that the test instrument created can be used as a valid and reliable measuring tool to assess MA students' mathematical reflective thinking abilities. Therefore, this instrument can help teachers develop and develop students' mathematical reflective thinking abilities more effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of various mathematics learning models and learning media on improving students' metacognitive abilities in the learning process. By using the systematic literature review (SLR) method in this study using databases from Google Scholar and Scimago sources which will be reviewed from 2016-2024 with predetermined inclution criteria, so that 24 articles were selected in this research. The results of the analysis show that the integration of learning models can improve students' metacognitive abilities, such as problem based learning (PBL) and discovery learning. The use of media and teaching materials can also help mathematics learning to improve metacognitive abilities such as learning modules and technology-based learning media such as LKPD with the help of Geogebra, Microsoft Mouse Mischief, and GeoEnzo is very important in helping to improve students' metacognitive abilities. The integration of effective learning models and innovative learning media is essential for the development of students' metacognitive, which will ultimately improve the quality of learning and academic outcomes of students during the learning process.

Abstract

Numeracy literacy skills are needed in various aspects of life, whether at home, work, or in society. The importance of numeracy literacy is not aligned with the reality, which is the low level of students' numeracy literacy skills, as seen from the result of PISA 2022. Various factors affect students' numeracy literacy skills, one of which is the implementation of learning models in schools. A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted based on 18 articles from accredited national journals in the field of mathematics education. This research focuses on two aspects, namely 1) learning models that influence numeracy literacy skills, and 2) the application of learning models at each educational level that affect numeracy literacy skills. Based on the reviewed articles, 12 learning models were found at the elementary, junior high, and senior high school levels. The learning models applied at the elementary level are PBL, STEAM, student facilitator & explaining, mind mapping, and RME. At the junior high level, the learning models are PBL, inquiry, RME, TGT, PLTL, CIRC, PjBL, TTW, and CTL, while at the senior high level, the learning models applied are peer-led team learning and problem-based learning. The results of this research can provide a summary of the literature in identifying learning models to improve students' numeracy literacy skills.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a valid problem-based learning-based LKPD based on differentiation on statistics material for phase E students of SMAN 3 Padang. This type of research is R&D (Research and Development) development research with the Plomp development model. The results of the validation test of Problem Based Learning (PBL) based LKPD with differentiation reached a score of 84.3%, which is included in the very valid category. The data shows that PBL-based LKPD with differentiation on Phase E statistics material at SMAN 3 Padang is valid and can be used by teachers and students in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' problem solving skills in solving numeracy problems on flat building material. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted at MTs Ma'arif NU Ngaban-Tanggulangin class VII in the 2024/2025 school year. The research subjects were selected based on the recommendation of the math subject teacher. Three students consisting of one high ability student, one medium ability student, and one low ability student were selected based on the daily grades of students in class VII-D MTs Ma'arif NU Ngaban Tanggulangin. The instruments used are test questions consisting of three questions and interview sheets. In problem solving using Polya's problem solving stages which consist of four indicators, namely 1) understanding the problem. 2) solution plan. 3) solving the problem. 4) re-examine the answer. Data analysis techniques used are data collection techniques, data reduction techniques, data presentation techniques and making conclusions. Interviews were used to ensure the accuracy of the data. The results of the study are based on Polya's stages, high ability students are able to fulfill all stages of Polya in solving problems. Medium ability students were able to fulfill Polya's stages but still unable to make conclusions and re-examine their answers. Low ability students are only able to understand the problem, not yet able to do the next stage.
