Abstract

To be able to do scientific thinking well requires the means of language, mathematics and statistics. The type of writing in this article is literature revieu or library nature, the data is described descriptively, thus suggesting a scientific study that can be further developed. The object of the study in this article is related to the study of the means of scientific thinking. (bahasa, matematika dan statistik). The collection of data in this paper begins with the collection of appropriate literature in both written and soft copy forms, for example textbooks, scientific articles, ebooks and so on. Both types of literature are the main source in displaying variables in this writing. The author then analyzes the data and reduces the various relevant information to eventually bring about a solution to the problems that are outlined in this article. Language is a means of communicating systematic ways of thinking in acquiring knowledge. Without language skills, one will not be able to carry out scientific activities systematically and correctly. Mathematics is a means of deductive thinking so people can use statistics to think inductive. Statistics must be viewed in parallel with mathematics

Abstract

This research aims to investigate students' interest in learning through the project-based learning model. The study was conducted at the Department of Biology Education and the Department of Science Education at Manado State University. The research method employed was quantitative descriptive. The subjects consisted of 20 students participating in project-based learning in the instructional media course. Data were collected through a learning interest questionnaire distributed at the end of the semester and measured using a Likert scale. The results indicated that for 12 statement items, the percentage fell within the range of 81%-100%, indicating a high level of interest among all respondents. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the project-based learning model effectively stimulates and optimizes students' learning interest.

Abstract

One of the teacher's tasks is to develop learning methods. An example of a method that can be used is discovery learning. The aim of this research is to discuss improving student learning outcomes on virus material through the application of the Discovery Learning strategy. Due to this, this study will use this learning strategy to improve student learning outcomes on viral material. This study focuses on finding out the application of the Discovery Learning Strategy in improving learning outcomes for class X students at SMAN 1 Maesaan for the 2022/2023 academic year. The researcher used the PTK research strategy with the research subjects being 24 class X MIA 1 students. This study uses observation sheets to collect data. The results of the research show that there is an increase in student learning outcomes for viral material. This is proven by the average score in the first cycle posttest of 70.16. The average value that increased in the second cycle posttest was 77.3%. Therefore, we can conclude that Discovery Learning is able to improve the learning outcomes of class X MIA 1 SMAN 1 Maesaan students.

Abstract

Logic is a branch of philosophy that discusses about rules, principles, laws and methods or procedures for achieving knowledge rationally and correctly, It is also a way to gain knowledge by using thoughts, words and language systematically. Logic can be systematized into There are several groups of things depending on which perspective we see that in terms of quality, logic can be distinguished into two, namely naturalist logic (natural logic) and logic artificialist (scientific logic). The aim of this research is to describe the ability to think Manifestation of Logic as the basis for human reasoning. Problem formulation: how to describe the ability to think Manifestation of Logic as the basis for human reasoning?. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, the way to obtain data is in the form of a literature study. The results of this research are that the stages of scientific activity require tools in the form of means of thinking, scientific manifestation of logic. The logic of scientific thinking only functions as a tool for humans to think scientifically in order to obtain knowledge. Language is a means of communicating a systematic logical way of thinking in acquiring knowledge. The results of the research are deductive logical thinking and inductive logic as well as the five basic laws of logic. It is needed to support correct scientific thinking activities so that it will produce knowledge with correct logic

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the ability of higher order thinking in Indonesian language learning of seventh grade students of Nurul Hasan Integrated Islamic Junior High School (IT) using Lesson Study. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative research method. The data in this study are in the form of test results of higher-order thinking skills using Lesson Study, observation data and interview data of VII grade teachers of Nurul Hasan Integrated Islamic Junior High School (IT). There are two types of data in the research, namely (1) primary data in the form of observation and interview results and (2) secondary data in the form of test results of higher order thinking skills using Lesson Study. The data analysis technique used in this research is quantitative descriptive analysis technique. Based on the data analysis of the results of this study, on the learning test of higher order thinking skills using Lesson Study students have been able to develop the ability to think critically to solve problems in learning through C3 remembering, C4 analyzing, C5 creating or inventing, and C6 high level thinking. The results showed that students can meet the high-level thinking skills seen from the way students remember, then analyze to find out differences in relevant things, can organize information and can connect information in a concept at the creation stage, students can recreate the preparation of official letters and personal letters well in accordance with the steps of letter writing.

Abstract

As governments worldwide increasingly transition towards digital governance, understanding the factors that contribute to the acceptance of Electronic Government (E-Gov) initiatives becomes crucial. This literature review explores various studies conducted on the acceptance of E-Gov by both the public and government entities. The goal is to pinpoint and examine the critical elements that affect the effective deployment and uptake of e-government services. The review encompasses a comprehensive examination of academic articles, research papers, and reports published in the field, covering diverse perspectives such as technological, social, cultural, and institutional factors. Common themes emerge, including the impact of perceived usefulness, ease of use, trust, security, and digital literacy on the acceptance of E-Government services among citizens. Additionally, the literature delves into the challenges and opportunities associated with the government's perspective, highlighting factors such as organizational readiness, policy support, and inter-agency collaboration. By synthesizing findings from various sources, this paper aims to provide a holistic view of the factors shaping the acceptance of E-Government, offering insights for policymakers, practitioners, and researchers. The outcomes of this literature review contribute to the ongoing discourse on enhancing the effectiveness of E-Government initiatives and fostering a digitally inclusive society.

Abstract

This study examines how student learning outcomes in human digestive system material at SMP Negeri 2 Tondano are impacted by the Children Learning in Science (CLIS) learning model. The purpose of this study is to determine how student learning results pertaining to topics linked to human digestion are influenced by the Children Learning In Science (CLIS) learning model. This study was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Tondano during the odd semester of the 2023–2024 academic year.This study is an experimental endeavor. The participants in this study are class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Tondano. Two classes are used in this study: Class VIII B, which has 19 students as a control group, and Class VIII A, which has 20 students as an experimental group. Data on student learning outcomes from both learning models were generated via the pretest and posttest. According to the study's findings, the experimental class scored an average of 27.75 on the pretest and 80.75 on the posttest, compared to the control class's average of 25.26 on the pretest and 41.58 on the posttest. When using a comparison test to evaluate the hypothesis, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted when the significance value is less than 0.05. This demonstrates that when using the Children Learning In Science (CLIS) learning paradigm instead of traditional learning methods, pupils achieve superior results. This study discovered that student learning outcomes relating human digestion were influenced by the Children Learning In Science (CLIS) learning paradigm at SMP Negeri 2 Tondano.

Abstract

Applying appropriate teaching methods and approaches can aid students in constructing better understanding and actively engaging in learning, while also assisting teachers in addressing issues such as student inactivity and boredom. This study aims to examine the improvement of student learning outcomes through the implementation of an Nature Exploration Approach-based PAIKEM in teaching Environmental Pollution to 7th-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Langowan. The research method utilized is Classroom Action Research (CAR) following Kemmis and Taggart's model. After implementing the JAS-based PAIKEM approach in the teaching process, the post-test results of the second cycle showed significant improvement. Out of 26 students, 25 students completed the test, achieving a 96.15% passing rate, with only one student not completing it, accounting for 3.85%, and the class average score was 87.5. These results indicate a substantial enhancement in student learning outcomes, reaching the predefined classical mastery level of 96.15%. Consequently, it can be concluded that utilizing the surrounding environment as a learning resource through the JAS-based PAIKEM approach effectively enhances the learning outcomes of 7th-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Langowan regarding environmental pollution

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan aktivitas siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi zat aditif dan adiktif di SMP N 2 Negeri Tondano. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII C SMP Negeri 2 Tondano dengan jumlah siswa 15 orang tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), terdiri dari beberapa tahapan yaitu: perencanaan (planning), tindakan (action), mengobservasi (observation), serta melakukan refleksi (reflecting). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase keterampilan guru adalah 69,44% pada siklus I, 94,44% pada siklus II. Persentase keaktifan siswa pada siklus I diperoleh 69,00% dan pada siklus II diperoleh 86,00%. Hasil belajar pada siklus I persentase ketuntasan 53,33%. Siklus II meningkat menjadi 93,33%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi zat aditif dan adiktif.

Abstract

Fifth-grade students' interest in learning science varies. There were high, good, medium and low. However, their average interest in learning was still relatively low. This study aims to find out the role of teachers in increasing students' interest in learning, supporting and inhibiting factors, and how to overcome them. We conducted descriptive-qualitative research. Data was obtained through interviews, observations and questionnaires. Then, it was analyzed using the main phases of data analysis: data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. We found the role of teachers in increasing students' interest in learning, namely as educators, mentors, motivators, mediators, facilitators and evaluators. The supporting factors were educators, facilities and student conditions. Meanwhile, there were various inhibiting factors, namely lack of parental assistance and lack of appreciation for student achievement. Efforts to overcome these obstacles were by collaborating with teachers and parents and giving appreciation to students who excel. Keywords : Teacher’s role, interest in learning, science learning
