Abstract

This study aims to analyze the People's Housing Savings (Tapera) policy from the perspective of Islamic economics, with a focus on social welfare and distribution justice. Islamic economics puts forward the principles of social welfare and distributive justice, which emphasizes the fulfillment of basic needs, spiritual and moral well-being, and the fair and equitable distribution of wealth. In this context, this study evaluates how Tapera's policies can be integrated with Islamic economic principles to achieve these goals. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach. The data was collected through literature studies, analysis of policy documents, and in-depth interviews with Islamic economics and housing experts. The analysis was conducted to identify the suitability of Tapera's policies with Islamic economic principles and assess their impact on social welfare and wealth distribution. The results of the study show that Tapera's policies are in line with several Islamic economic principles, such as zakat, alms, and qard al-hasan, which aim to reduce economic disparities and promote social welfare. Tapera has succeeded in providing better access to housing for low- and middle-income people, improving their quality of life. However, the study also found some challenges, including limitations in fair distribution mechanisms and the need for greater transparency and accountability in fund management. Tapera's policy has great potential to support social welfare and distribution justice in accordance with Islamic economic principles. However, further efforts are needed to optimize the implementation of this policy to be more effective and efficient. This research provides practical recommendations for policymakers to strengthen aspects that are in line with Islamic values and overcome existing obstacles, with the ultimate goal of creating a more just and prosperous society

Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of sharia economics in turning recession challenges into opportunities in Indonesia. The research method used is a mixed approach that combines quantitative and qualitative methods. The exploration phase involves an in-depth literature study of the principles of sharia economics, analysis of successful cases from other countries, and interviews with stakeholders in Indonesia. The analysis phase includes the collection of macroeconomic and microeconomic data, as well as qualitative data through in-depth interviews and focused group discussions. The results of the study show that the sharia economy makes a significant contribution to Indonesia's economic growth in recession conditions. The implementation of sharia economic principles, such as the prohibition of riba and the practice of gharar, has the potential to increase economic stability by encouraging investment oriented towards the real and sustainable economy. The use of zakat and waqf in the sharia economy has also proven to be effective in reducing socio-economic inequality and increasing a fairer distribution of income. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of strengthening Islamic financial infrastructure, increasing Islamic financial literacy in the community, and strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors in supporting Islamic economic growth. Challenges that need to be addressed include a clearer regulatory framework and strong policy support to expand the penetration of the sharia economy in key sectors. With the right implementation of recommendations, the sharia economy can play an important role in building sustainable economic stability and prosperity in Indonesia, as well as make a significant contribution to effectively overcoming the economic recession

Abstract

The development of zakat potential in fact does not go hand in hand with education and knowledge about zakat. One of the problems is the absence of zakat education curriculum specifically. This research attempts to examine the strategy of zakat education in madrasah. The focus of this research is using BMC (business model canvas) strategy that can be used in non-profit organizations. The method used is qualitative and the source of data obtained by revealing phenomena in the community as an objective secondary data source in the field. The results of this study indicate that there are four elements that are important aspects of zakat education in madrasah, namely customer segments, value propositions, key activities and key resources. So that it takes a joint role to implement zakat education in madrasas better.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of maximum mudharabah financing due to the high risk experienced by Islamic banking. In addition, Islamic banks are extra careful in channeling mudharabah financing. This study aims to find out what the results of the reconstruction of mudharabah financing look like. Relating to rebuilding the mudharabah contract, the aims and practices align with what is determined in accordance with the basic principles of Islamic banking. Researchers use qualitative phenomenological approaches that are descriptive, analytical and inductive. This research seeks to explore data to find the basics of phenomena, reality and experience. This research uses documentary studies and studies of theories to explain and conclude the problems raised. This research is descriptive, which means it describes or describes a situation, symptoms, and events. In this case, to find out problems related to the status of Islamic banking as shahibul mal in the mudharabah contract that occurred at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Regional South Sulawesi. From various related information, from references that discuss mudharabah transactions and their application in Islamic banking that occur at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) South Sulawesi Regional. This study concluded that the reconstruction carried out at BSI still did not go as expected. There are still many obstacles faced, including in determining profits. Meanwhile, the mudharabah contract applied at BSI is free from maysir, gharar, and usury elements—Mudharabah financing practices. The profit-sharing ratio given to mudharabah financing benefits both banks and customers. Profit sharing system where operational costs must reduce the profit earned by the fund manager and must also return the funds provided by shahibul maal therefore the profit obtained by the mudharib is by what is agreed. Various customers have felt this financing because customers who previously did not have the capital to do business with this financing customers can have capital provided by the BSI Regional South Sulawesi Bank. In practice, the distribution of profits between the two parties is based on a pre-agreed ratio. The ratio is the share of business profits for each party whose amount is determined based on the agreement. The partnership relationship in mudharabah financing is a collaboration between shahibul maal to provide funds. In contrast, the other party, mudharib, provides his mind, energy, and time to manage the cooperation business. The most important element in mudharabah financing cooperation is trust. This belief is mainly from shahibul maal to mudharib. Shahibulmaal should act as a supervisor to the mudharib to avoid business risks. The author advises BSI always to supervise customers when managing funds provided by banks in order to create transparency between the bank and customers. The bank should analyze the character and ability of prospective customers first before providing financing to customers to run a business and manage the funds provided by the bank, in order to minimize losses obtained by shahibul mall and can establish transparent cooperation and in accordance with Islamic economic principles

Abstract

Buying and selling gold on credit has become an increasingly popular trend in the Islamic finance industry in various countries, including Indonesia. This practice has caused debate among scholars and practitioners of Islamic finance due to its complexity involving multi-contracts and potential conflict with traditional Sharia principles regarding gold transactions. On the one hand, buying and selling gold on credit is seen as an innovation that allows wider access for the public to invest in gold. On the other hand, there are concerns that this practice could lead to riba or gharar (uncertainty) which is prohibited in Islam. This study aims to: (1) detect contracts in the sale and purchase of gold on credit, including aspects of the ability to practice hybrid contracts, and (2) examine opinions on buying and selling gold on credit, including tracing the hadiths that are used as the basis for buying and selling gold in installments or on credit. The method used in this study is a literature study with data obtained from books, journal articles, DSN-MUI fatwas, and the web sunnah.com. The results of the study show that: (1) The practice of hybrid contract in buying and selling gold on credit is allowed as long as it is in accordance with Sharia principles, by using murabahah, qard, and ijarah contracts. (2) Buying and selling gold in installments or credit may be carried out if gold is not an official medium of exchange and has shifted its function to jewelry and investment instruments.
