Abstract

Penelitian ini disusun untuk membuat suatu alternatif penyelesaian gangguan pada peralatan blok Stasiun Surodadi dan Pemalang dalam rangka meningkatkan keamanan perjalanan kereta api di Stasiun Surodadi-Pemalang. Penelitian ini menggunakan landasan teori dan peraturan yang mendukung penyelesaian masalah dengan pengkajian melalui aspek teknis, aspek operasional dan aspek keselamatan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem axle counter relatif lebih hemat, aman dan efisien dibandingkan track circuit. Sistem transmisi fiber opticlebih efisien dan menguntungkan dibanding sistem transmisi kabel. Sebagian keterlambatan juga diakibatkan gangguan peralatan persinyalan dan salah satunya adalah gangguan hubungan blok. Dalam keadaan hubungan blok terganggu, pemberangkatan kereta dengan sinyal darurat memungkinkan terhadinya kecelakaan yang diakibatkan oleh faktor kelelahan dan kondisi psikologis PPKA. Guna mengurangi keterlambatan kereta api, mengurangi resiko kemungkinan terjadinya kecelakaan akibat pemberian bentuk darurat 1 (D.1) secara bersamaan oleh PPKA kedua stasiun yang terganggu hubungan bloknya dan meningkatkan keamanan perjalanan kereta api, sebaiknya track circuit petak jalan diganti dengan dua buah axle counter yang dipasang di sinyal masuk stasiun untuk mendeteksi keberadaan bakal pelanting di petak jalan, penelitian ini juga merekomendasikan agar penggunaan kabel fisik diganti menjadi kabel fiber optic.

Abstract

This scientific focus on development system of cable train building in Ijen Mountain area, Banyuwangi Regency, East Java that is functioned as supporter of goods and passanger’s transport that is expected become the solution for problem solving of goods transport like the sulphur that has been left behind, can attract the interest of tourist from inside and outside of country, increase the region income and increase economic quality of people around Ijen Mountain. This scientific is appliying for comparation research of methodology. The result of this scientific suggesst that cable train can be build immediately in Ijen Mountain, government pay more attention of transport system in Ijen Mountain that has been left behind and consider to build cable train in Ijen mountain.

Abstract

Slahung Subdistrict in Ponorogo District, East Java Province, has great potency in agriculture. Most of the crops can not be utilized optimally for economic growth in the Sub-district due to limited access of roads, therefore the study analised development of trains for optimizing the potency of Slahung by using literature study and field survey along the existing route Madiun- Slahung. Data was collected from the Slahung District Office and from a survey of railway conditions along the track. The results obtained are (1) Comparison of energy consumption shows that train is superior at Rp 14, 87 Km / ton and 0.0025 liter / km / ton for freight transport. (2) By utilizing paddy and sugar cane production in Slahung area, Slahung will earn a profit of Rp 2,468,542,182,850.00 per year when selling the crop in Madiun City. (3) The survey estimates that 61% of the Madiun - Slahung railway line in good condition and 39% in poor condition, some of the track located in the middle of agricultural land which will make it easier for farmers to distribute their harvest to the trading center. (4) The survey results show that the Slahung community needs a cheap and fast mode of transportation that overide convenience factor, so that the train with its characteristics can be accepted by the community.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze delays at railway train service, especially at DAOP 7 Madiun. Primary data collection is done through observation and distribution of questionnaires. Observations were made to find out the actual departure time of train departure from the station compared to the time of departure plan. The survey results show that passengers can tolerate train delays below 10 Minutes, and most (73%) can not tolerate delays longer than 10 minutes. Statistical descriptive results indicate that 49 percent of travel experiences more than 10 minutes delay, and delays vary between each train, the average delay is 16.29 minutes with a standard deviation of 27.59 minutes. Results of delays data compared in various statistical distributions show the differences of each train delay distribution, dominated by logistics distribution and Weilbul, data of the curves show density curves tend to have skewness from standard normal distributions. The overall data of the delay is most closely related to Weilbul's distribution, although it can not be concluded with 95 percent confidence that the data is distributed Weilbul. Further analysis by examining each train at the starting station to the final station is required to complete this delayed distribution review.

Abstract

English specific purpose (ESP) is a learner-centered approach to teaching English as additional language, which focuses on developing communicative competence in specific discipline such as academics, accounting, agrology, business, IT, teaching, and engineering. ESP also defined to meet specific needs of learners. Accordingly, it is important for the cadets to master English for railway in order to prepare them for English technical terminology in working area. This study aimed to identify the problem faced by the cadets of Indonesian Railway Academy and to develop glossary terms based on the cadets’ need. In this study, the writer used research and development (R&D) design. It means that the study designed to develop materials for use in ESP program. The population of this study is the cadets of Indonesian Railway Academy. The number of the subject was 35 cadets from electrical class. The writer used questionnaire and interview to gather the data. The result of the study showed that twenty cadets said that ESP is difficult to learn, they also said that there was different English for general and English for Specific Purpose. Fifteen students said that they enjoyed ESP program and they also said that English is important to learn to get a job. The writer concludes that the cadets of Indonesian Railway Academy Madiun have to develop their knowledge about glossary terms for railway to increase their vocabulary.

Abstract

This study discusses long bridge superstructure planning. The reference used for the design of the bridge is the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation No. 60 of 2012 on Technical Requirements of Railways, AREMA and the rules of the European Union. The loading of the superstructure of the railway bridge includes dead load, live load, shock load, horizontal load, and wind load. This bridge profile needs analysis using the influence line method with SAP 2000 application. The result of superstructure analysis of 100 meter railway bridge type of lower truss frame shows that the size for structure profile, stringer, and cross girder must be specially designed by utilizing SM400 type steel plate with welding. From the analysis result, the working force of stringer is 1618,74 kN with a deflection of 11,58 mm; Force on a transverse girder of 2348.16 kN; Upperchord of 6340.45 kN; Lower Frame (Lowerchord) of 7441.33 kN; And members in the amount of 5599.48 kN. Of the styles are designed profiles as follows: 1 UFLG 105 x 2.5; 2WEB 80 x 2.5; 1 UFLG 80 x 2.5 for lowerchord, 1 UFLG 105 x 3.6; 2WEB 80 x 2.5; 1 UFLG 80 x 3.6 for upperchord and WF 72X x 80 x 2 x 2 For diagonal member.

Abstract

PT. KAI is a State-Owned Enterprise that provides rail transportation services. The purpose of this study is to provide recommendations for improvement of the main priority level of service user satisfaction to service providers PT. KAI towards improving services at Cepu Station which refers to the Minimum Service Standards (SPM) at stations contained in PM 63 of 2019 concerning Minimum Service Standards for Transportation of People by Train. This study uses a quantitative descriptive research type. The target of this research is to know the value of CSI, IPA and the calculation of the PGCV Index which is useful for assisting the IPA method in attribute improvement. The results of this study obtained a CSI value of 74%, namely with the predicate of being satisfied, the results of the IPA which became a priority to improve the quality of quadrant I and quadrant III and with the PGCV method the priority of improving service quality attributes that must be immediately repaired was in quadrant I there were 2 attributes namely station cleanliness, toilet cleanliness and comfort.Keywords: service quality, satisfaction level, Customer Satisfaction Index, Importance Performance Analysis, Potential Gain in Customer Value

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in decreasing on volume and revenue railway passenger in Indonesia by around 53%, while freight transport has decreased by about 5% compared to 2019. Policies that can be implemented to overcome the impact of a pandemic include Operational Optimization based on operating efficiency, and Pandemic Adaptation based on minimizing 3C conditions. (Closed Space, Crowded Place, Closed Contact Setting). The impact of implementing the policy needs to be simulated its effect on operating costs (BO) and operating income (PO). The results of the comparison of PO and BO values, hereinafter referred to as POBO, are an indicator of how strong the railway business is able to survive during a pandemic. A POBO value above 1.0 indicates that the business is still able to reach the Break Event Point (BEP), which means that the operator is able to achieve revenue equivalent to costs (fixed and variable). The critical point of railway operation occurs at the shutdown point, which indicates that revenue cannot cover fixed costs. At the shutdown point, it is feared that the railway business will stop. The calculation results show that the POBO values of the two policies are 1.08 (optimization policy) and 1.09 (pandemic adaptation policy). This profile shows the resilience of the railroad business at the threshold value of the Break Event Point (BEP), far below the POBO value in previous years. This shows that the impact of the pandemic is very significant on the company's cash flow. The critical point for the shutdown point occurred in the volume of goods and passengers by up to 40% compared to the volume in 2019. This volume was lower than the basic calculation, namely passenger volume of 50.5% - 55.5%; and the volume of goods by 81.5% compared to the volume in 2019. This figure shows that the railroad business still has resilience before experiencing a critical shutdown point.

Abstract

Maintenance of the mooring system is an effort to keep the moorings on the railroad tracks in good condition. Installing and removing fastenings in Indonesia uses manual tools, namely hammers and panpullers so that it takes a long time and is less effective, so the development of the tool is aimed at minimizing the use of human labor, being more effective and not requiring a lot of time to install and remove fasteners. In this final project, the manufacture of a hydraulic-based fastening installation and release tool is carried out with the development of an old tool with a new tool. The hydraulic-based fastening installation and removal tool have a length of 105 cm, a width of 67 cm and a height of 91 cm which is able to minimize the use of human labor and is more effective in installing and removing the fasteners. The use of these tools by placing the tool on the rail and positioning the hydraulic cylinder in front of the fasteners, then pump using the hydraulic pump lever until the fasteners can be attached or removed. From the results of the development of this tool, it can be seen that the installation and removal of fasteners can be done by minimizing human labor and requires an effective time of 50 seconds.

Abstract

The prototype automatic surface treatment whose specifications include using an oxy-acetylene welding kit, with a 12V/24V DC motor, 12V battery supply, and a 12V water pump still does not have technical data on the increase in hardness produced. This study aims to compare the calculation of the value of the R.54 rail hardness between raw materials and materials that undergo automatic surface treatment. In this study, the testing method used is the Brinell test method. In this study, variations of the distance between the heater and cooler were carried out with a distance of 100mm, 130mm, and 160mm. The results of the tests that have been carried out, variations with a distance of 160mm resulted in the highest increase in hardness values. It increased by 8.9355 BHN, while in the 130mm variation it was slightly lower at 8.2581 BHN, and in the 100mm variation the hardness value only increased by 6.9892 BHN. With this, the lifetime of the rail will also increase, it is assumed that by calculating the age of the rail on the Indonesian Railway Polytechnic cross, surface treatment can increase the life of the rail.
