Abstract

The rail rod functions as a load that holds the weight of the train traveling on it. The large circuit weight can result in excessive friction and wear, requiring a hard, wear-resistant rail surface. The purpose of this research is to design a prototype tool which serves as an effort to increase the resistance on the rail road surface. The method used in the concept of this research is the flame hardening theory, namely heating the railroad using oxy-acetylene gas then quenching quickly to increase the hardness on the railroad surface. Prototyping begins with hardware design which includes Surface Treatment tools and designing automatic control program software. The results of the prototype were tested for the successful functioning of a tool that can be operated properly using manual mode with a maximum speed of 0.1 m/s and an automatic mode of 0.08 m/s.

Abstract

In this study, the authors conducted research on the manufacture of relay and PLC-based carriage and carriage washing system control designs. The method used includes planning, literature study with various electronics references related to this tool, analysis of the needs of the components that will be used in manufacturing and testing in its implementation. The purpose of this research is to create a control system for washing trains and carriages based on relay and PLC manually and automatically with the advantages of more efficient washing time, less labor required and more efficient and scalable use of soap and water. The design of a control system using PLC and relay as the brains of this train and carriage washing system and is assisted by the presence of 4 water level sensors to measure water level and the sequence of steps is water spray, soap spray, cloth rotation, water, cloth rotation, wind. from the fan to the final step as the dryer. After testing and simulation, optimal performance results are obtained that the PLC Omron CPM1A 40cdr design can move the control functions of the train and carriage washing system

Abstract

The diversity of characteristics of passengers allows for different satisfaction ratings, whereas basically the railway operator must be able to create overall satisfaction for customers. Seeing the existing conditions on the Penataran Local Railway, the services provided to service users on the train are still not good considering the relatively high average occupancy. Therefore, it is necessary to know the level of passenger satisfaction with the service quality of the local train service upgrading the Sidoarjo - Malang Kota Lama relationship. This research was conducted to determine the level of passenger satisfaction with the descriptive analysis method of passenger characteristics. The customer satisfaction index is calculated using the CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) analysis method. Assessment of the level of service provided by PT. KAI especially DAOP 8 Surabaya in terms of performance level and importance. The result can be seen that the level of service performance can be interpreted as quite satisfied, while the level of importance can be interpreted as important

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the condition of existing facilities at Bumiayu Station, to determine the factors that are the top priority of services at Bumiayu Station facilities and utilities to improve service quality. as well as planning the development of Bumiayu Station based on the results of an analysis of passenger satisfaction levels. This research is focused on developing existing facilities and utilities at Bumiayu station, and adjusted to the Minimum Service Standards (SPM) PM No. 63 of 2019. The facilities developed include: platforms, canopies (overcapping), parking lots and waiting rooms. And evaluating the service level of the station after and before the construction of data collection is carried out through a survey then the collected data is analyzed using the IPA (Importance Performance Analysis) method. The results of the Customer Statisfaction Index analysis show that passengers at Bumiayu Station at this time feel SATISFIED with the services provided with a value of 0.54. With the increase in the number of residents at Bumiayu Station each year, it is not certain that the following year passengers will be satisfied enough with the performance of passenger service at Bumiayu Station.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the understanding of EWS and the number of violations with the number of accidents in the crossing of a field that occurred at the crossing of KM 287 + 8.This type of research is a case study that is research on pre-defined subjects and objects. The number of respondents examined in this study was 360 respondents, observations were conducted against the number of violations and the number of accidents carried out during 20 days of observation and understanding of respondents, while the method of analysis used was correlational method using cross tabulation (crosstab) and pearson chisqure. The results show that understanding EWS has a very weak relationship and is in line with the accident rate at the level crossing, this shows that the higher the level of understanding of a motorist's EWS, it will be able to suppress or minimize the number of accidents that occur at level crossings that have EWS and the number violations have a moderate relationship with the number of accidents at a level crossing, this shows that the higher the number of violations, the more the number of accidents that occur.

Abstract

Starting December 1, 2019, the Adi Soemarmo Solo Airport Train operates on the route Solo Balapan Station-Adi Soemarmo Airport, with a distance of 12.9 kilometers, and an average travel time of 20 minutes. The mobility of the movements can lead to the mode selection process. Mode selection is one of the models used in planning public transport transportation. The results of the calculation of the probability of displacement for the variable age and occupation of the respondent are variables that have a significant effect. After the final analysis was carried out with categorization for each variable age and occupation, the categories for each age (2) were obtained, namely 21-30 years old and age (3), namely 31-40 years old. For each category of significant work variables, namely the work of 1 student, the occupation of 3 BUMN, and the occupation of 4 private employees. The results of the probability calculation show that the older the respondent is, the probability has decreased as a person gets older, they will tend to prefer to use private vehicles because they are easier to move, safer, and faster than those who are younger and prefer to use public transportation. for mobility because it is more affordable and cheaper. Likewise with work, students / students have a higher probability than private and BUMN employees because their mobility intensity is not as frequent as private employees or BUMN.

Abstract

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) during 2019 and 2018 calculated that there had been 655 accidents at level rail crossings. Accidents often occur in high traffic areas such as the Telecommunication Signal Resort 4.6 SMT. So the researchers conducted research in order to find out the performance of the railway operating facilities under the auspices of the Telecommunication Signal Resort 4.6 SMT as well as public perceptions of its performance. Researchers used a sound level meter to measure the loudness level of the level rail crossings siren sound at the research location. Furthermore, it is compared with the standards stipulated in the Minister of Transportation Regulation Number 44 of 2018. Then tested using Anova to find out whether the population mean will be of the same value using data from each population. Furthermore, an unstructured interview was conducted to hear the perceptions of road users on the performance of the operational facilities at level rail crossings which became the research object. The results showed that the five level rail crossings which were the object of the study had the loudness level of the siren sound below the set standard. In contrast, flat cross lights perform well. Meanwhile, the public perception of the operational facilities at level rail crossings is that they are functioning well. Keywords: level rail crossing, operating facility, railway

Abstract

There are several train ticket service applications as official partners of PT. KAI on Android and iOS devices such as Traveloka, Tiket.com, Pegipegi which can spur the competition to offer its advantages. Therefore, the KAI Access application must be able to provide the best experience, satisfaction, and trust so that users remain loyal and provide positive reviews. This study aims to determine: (1) The effect of experiential marketing and satisfaction on customer loyalty, (2) The role of trust in moderating the effect of experiential marketing and satisfaction on customer loyalty. The population of this study were users of the KAI Access application in Surabaya. This study, used a sample of 384 respondents. The sampling technique is a purposive sampling technique with the criteria of KAI Access application users who are domiciled in Surabaya, aged + 17 years, and have purchased train tickets on the KAI Access application at least once. The data analysis techniques used Partial Least Square with the software of SmartPLS 3.0. The results of this study indicates that experiential marketing and satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty, trust moderates the effect of experiential marketing and satisfaction on customer loyalty.

Abstract

There are many factors that affect the decline in the quality of the railways including the stability of the geometry, the resistance of the upper structure and the lowwer structure of the railways. This research was conducted to determine the effect of geometry instability on the resistance railways structure that is focused on the structure of the railways. In assessing the geometry deviation value of the path using the calculation of the standard deviation each measurement parameter which is then processed into a track quality indexs (TQI). Measurement parameter data is obtained from Galunggung measuring train for 2018 and EM-120 measuring train for 2019. Differences in the calculation of the value of railways quality (TQI) with different years are used as a benchmark for determining the location of a manual survey using a measurement tool and meter listring. The results of field geometry measurements are modeled with a program to help calculate structural strength. Model simulation by analyzing using Finite Element Method (FEM) for several conditions according to the geometry deviation category (TQI). The results of this study found that, concrete sleeper material properties, with concrete compressive (Fc ') 54 MPa and 1400 MPa prestressed wire strength (Fy), rail type is R.54 and ballast property according to PM.60 of 2012. The axial load is working at 16,241 kg, From the analysis of the geometric deviation value of category 3 (25 <TQI <40), it was found that concrete sleeper specimen (B4) experienced compressive stress of 15,566 MPa and tensile stress of 5,178 MPa. Analysis of these conditions, concrete bearings can not rely on the required tensile force that is, 4,632 MPa (0.32 Fc0.67).

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze customer satisfaction level of Lebaran trains in Java Island. Data collection was done through observation and spreading of questionnaires. The sample of this data collection is 206 respondents who traveled during Lebaran with train in Java Island. The result of the research by using Importance Performance Analysis method shows that the respondent's expectation for the train service is 82.8 percent while the respondent's satisfaction level is 65.4 percent. Customer Satisfaction Index for all attributes studied was 71.4 percent. Some of the attributes that need prioritized for improvement are considered inconsistent with the expectations of passengers: cleanliness and comfort toilets in the station and on the train, availability of facilities for the disabled, affordability of ticket prices and suitability of ticket prices with services. Other attributes that are important and considered satisfactory by respondens are information boards, station staff friendliness, cleanliness and convenience at the station, ticket service counter, train staff friendliness, cleanliness and convenience in trains, on-time departure train, punctuality of train arrival, travel time and ease of getting tickets.
