Abstract

Thus, this empowerment activity is carried out to optimize the resources of the members of the farmer groups that have been formed and explain the importance of the existence of a farmer group in the development of farming and livestock owned. The community service initiative employs the Community Based Research (CBR) methodology, specifically using the Forum Group Discussion (FGD) technique for training and mentoring. The results of the implementation of this activity were that the Bisimo Etaikena farmer group was required to have an administrative system starting from farming planning, documentation, or recording of group farming processes and results (both agricultural and livestock cultivation), and the ability to process agricultural products that had to be carried out, to help improve welfare—farmers in a structured manner and not only in obtaining government assistance.

Abstract

In Indonesia, there has been a rise in the number of suspected medical malpractice cases, causing tangible harm to patients and undermining trust in the healthcare system. To address this growing concern in the digital era, this study aims to identify effective hospital strategies for handling complaints arising from alleged malpractice incidents. A systematic literature review was conducted, utilizing international and national databases to select and search for pertinent information on hospital complaint-handling processes and strategies in the digital era. The study underscores the significance of establishing a comprehensive complaint-handling system in hospitals to address increasing complaints. Key strategies identified include preparing professional resources dedicated to handling complaints, enhancing awareness regarding patient safety, and ensuring strict adherence to existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). By adopting the identified strategies, hospitals can mitigate the adverse effects of medical accidents, improve patient safety, and rebuild trust between patients and medical personnel in the digital era.

Planning to strengthen women's capacity to deal with disasters in Bantul Regency is one of the main factors in this research. Because women are ultimately categorized as a vulnerable group, this vulnerability is caused by women's lack of knowledge about disasters. This research uses Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) methods supported by primary and secondary data using Vos Viewer analysis. Secondary data documents the activities provided by BPBD for women's groups. This research uses data analysis techniques with data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. This research also shows that there are positive steps provided by BPBD to women's groups so that they can participate in strengthening women's capacity to face disasters. Based on research findings, the Bantul Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) plans to strengthen women's capacity to deal with disasters by providing socialization about disasters and disaster simulations to women's groups.

Abstract

Coconut waste, a largely untapped resource, holds immense potential for efficient utilization. However, this commodity's current production has yet to generate significant added value as coconuts are primarily used for coconut oil, and the fiber is often discarded as waste. This service research identifies challenges and communication barriers in using coconut dregs at the Gedebage Main Market, Bandung City. By employing the Community Research (CBR) service method through Forum Group Discussions (FGD), we aim to collaborate with the community to explore various approaches to the issues they face. Data was collected through a qualitative approach, including in-depth interviews, field observations, and literature studies. The service research findings reveal several challenges in utilizing coconut waste, such as infrastructure problems, licensing constraints, and the need for better-trained human resources. Meanwhile, communication obstacles faced include technical obstacles, namely the lack of accompanying staff or communicators who carry out outreach and provide information on the potential use of coconut dregs to the community. Technological obstacles include the unavailability of the required modern coconut waste processing machines. Institutional obstacles include unclear roles and responsibilities of the parties involved and the need for coordination between stakeholders in utilizing coconut waste. Your active participation and support are crucial in overcoming these obstacles and realizing the full potential of coconut waste.
