Abstract

The background to this work is that although 90% of Nglarangan village youth have access to smartphones and are involved in social media, most still face obstacles in finding work that suits their potential and interests. This service aims to revitalize the post-COVID-19 economy by empowering the young generation in Nglarangan Village, Kauman District, and Ponorogo Regency by creating YouTube content. This service method uses the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, which includes stages; identify assets, plan, and dream. Data collection techniques are done through interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis technique compares the results of previous services with the same theme and with relevant theoretical studies. The result of this mentoring work is that this training not only opens up new job opportunities but also increases the income level in Nglarangan Village. By utilizing the digital landscape, Nglarangan Village is an example of an innovative economic revival after the pandemic. The younger generation's proficiency in using YouTube and the Microstoker platform generates economic prospects and fosters solidarity and creativity among Karang Taruna members. Apart from individual benefits, this initiative also positively impacts the village's image and contributes to local economic growth. Nglarangan Village is an inspiring model illustrating how creative economic empowerment, centered on digital platforms, can bring positive transformation after the challenges of the pandemic.

Abstract

The development of knowledge and technology significantly impacts literacy skills, essential for academic growth and school adaptation. Technology literacy is crucial for awareness and academic support, but a lack of technological knowledge can hinder education. To address this, the Indonesian government introduced the belajar.id platform, integrating Google Suite for Education (GSuite) to aid academic activities during the pandemic. Challenges like limited teacher-student interaction persist, necessitating the encouragement of electronic media and diverse educational material availability. They aimed to bridge teaching gaps, enhance technological skills, and ensure effective knowledge sharing, using participatory rural appraisal (PRA). The team of Research Group Data Information Knowledge and Engineering (RG DIKE) at the Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta conducted a study on technology literacy's importance for students in SMP Negeri 2 Jaten Karanganyar. It emphasized technology's role in disaster management and prevention, striving for a strategic approach to technology-based education. Training sessions were conducted on August 15 and October 26, 2023, focused on belajar.id, GSE, and OBS integration. Teachers played a key role in guiding and updating their GSE and OBS knowledge. In summary, these sessions aimed to equip teachers and students with vital GSE and OBS skills, enhancing education quality and learning outcomes.

The method that the researcher used was qualititave descriptive method in which the researcher conducted observation interviews and documentation related to the problem. The results of the research show that many people still thinkthat mosques are only places of worship, even in the amplas sub-district of Medan city, religious studies, recitations are held, as well as various social and humanitarian activities such as donations and social service. Initially they agreed with this, but over time the community became inconsistent in doing things related to the mosque. Abstract

Prayer can serve as a valuable component of mathematical education, especially in Islamic schools, based on the constructivist learning theory. Utilizing community-based research methods, such as action and participatory research, fosters self-awareness and conflict resolution. Through prayer, students can engage in mathematical concepts like counting and multiplication by observing actions like bows and prostrations. Media supplements, such as a ball count, can enhance learning. Contextual notions of school mathematics are evident in prayer, such as adding and multiplying natural numbers, understanding sets, arithmetic sequences, and geometry concepts like lines, angles, and parallelism. For instance, the number of prayer units illustrates adding natural numbers, while the tahajjud prayer exemplifies multiples of two. Moreover, the congregation's rows during group prayer demonstrate line segments and parallel lines, while the standing position showcases various angles. These connections highlight the relationship between prayer and mathematics, offering unique insights into both disciplines. Integrating prayer into mathematical education not only enriches students' understanding but also fosters a holistic approach to learning.

Abstract

The number of senior high school (SMA/MA) graduates in Central Aceh in 2022 reached 48,481; however, the number of students continuing on to higher education remains very low. This study aims to identify factors influencing the low interest of 12th-grade students in pursuing higher education and to provide guidance in study and career planning. The method used was Community-Based Research (CBR), which involved active student participation in the process of identifying problems and finding solutions. The results showed that participants experienced an increased understanding of the importance of higher education, were able to identify barriers such as financial issues and mindsets, and began planning further studies and considering career options after graduating from high school. Furthermore, participants received information about affordable public university alternatives, such as IAIN Takengon, as a relevant solution aligned with the local economic conditions.

Abstract

The main obstacle in toddler development monitoring is the limited knowledge of mothers regarding stimulation and early detection. Previous community services in several regions generally focused on counseling at posyandu or health facilities. However, these efforts often emphasized knowledge transfer only, without sufficient emphasis on hands-on practice or continuous assistance, resulting in limited impact on mothers’ actual skills. This gap highlights the need for community-based programs that increase knowledge and strengthen practical skills through direct mentoring. This community service was implemented in Wage Village, Sidoarjo Regency, involving 24 mothers of toddlers. The intervention consisted of training sessions using lectures, demonstrations, and guided practice with the Maternal and Child Health (KIA) book as the primary tool. Pre-test and post-test evaluations were conducted using questionnaires on knowledge and skills. The results showed a significant increase, with 83.3% of mothers reaching the high category in knowledge and 91.7% in skills after the training. These findings indicate that practice-based training with intensive assistance effectively empowers mothers. Continuous mentoring at posyandu is recommended for future programs to ensure sustainability and broader community impact.

Abstract

Preconception nutritional preparedness is crucial to support a healthy pregnancy and prevent fetal growth disorders. In Indonesia, many prospective couples lack adequate understanding of this, making audiovisual-based nutrition education a promising approach; however, its effectiveness still requires further evaluation. This community service aimed to improve nutritional knowledge of prospective brides and grooms through a Communication, Information, and Education (CIE) approach using audiovisual media. The intervention was conducted at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) in Sukajadi Subdistrict, Bandung City, involving 74 prospective couples selected through accidental sampling. A 9-minute video containing information on nutritional needs, preconception issues, and recommended intake served as the educational tool. Evaluation used a one-group pretest–posttest design with a validated and reliable questionnaire. The analysis showed a significant increase in knowledge scores after the intervention (N-Gain = 0.44; moderate category). These results suggest that audiovisual-based CIE effectively enhances understanding of preconception nutrition in an engaging and accessible manner. However, the lack of a control group limits the interpretation of the findings. This activity supports audiovisual media as an alternative strategy for preconception nutrition education to enhance readiness for marriage and pregnancy.
