Abstract

Islamic values and culture have the potential to enhance employee performance; however, the literature presents inconsistent results and ongoing debates. This study aims to examine how employee happiness mediates the relationship between Islamic values, Javanese culture, and employee performance. The methodology employed in this research is quantitative, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to employees of multinational companies in East Java. A total of 125 respondents participated in this study. The findings indicate that employee happiness significantly mediates the relationship between Islamic values, Javanese culture, and employee performance, where the influence of Islamic values and Javanese culture on performance becomes stronger in the context of happy employees. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of the role of employee happiness in influencing the dynamics between Islamic values, Javanese culture, and employee performance. These findings can serve as a foundation for multinational companies to develop management strategies that are more sensitive to Islamic values and local culture to enhance company performance

Abstract

Conflicts involving religious differences continue to occur in Indonesia. To minimize these problems requires a stronger religious foundation. They conduct a social activity known as ruwat air tirtosari. A cross-religious community in Candipuro village adheres to this ritual as part of their celebration of One Suro. It is part of an effort to strengthen traditional values and social ties by being thankful for abundant water resources. The aim of this research is to investigate how the daily life of Penanggal Village embodies religious harmony. This research method employs qualitative techniques, starting with interviews with local community figures, followed by observations to paint a picture of shared cultural patterns, beliefs, and views within a context of diversity. Interreligious communication uses Pierre Bourdieu's theory of social capital, which does not distinguish between actor roles and structures, to evaluate social interactions. The results of this study imply a deeper balance between religious harmony and local cultural rituals.

Abstract

**Abstract** The diversity of Indonesia is a blessing granted by Almighty God. Therefore, this diversity should always be appreciated, nurtured, and developed by all elements, including educational institutions. Such efforts are necessary to foster a harmonious, peaceful, and tranquil life. Ironically, violence and conflicts among students based on differences continue to occur, sometimes leading to bullying. These behaviors often arise from a lack of education on the importance of tolerance in maintaining harmony amid diversity. SD Negeri 1 Balun is an example of a pluralistic school that successfully instills peaceful living and harmonious coexistence among students of different religions through peace education. This study aims to examine how SD Negeri 1 Balun internalizes peace education to foster student tolerance. A descriptive qualitative method is used in this research. The findings indicate that SD Negeri 1 Balun conducts peace education internalization, including respect, love, fairness, justice, cooperation, and tolerance in all school activities, from classroom lessons and extracurricular activities to habituation programs. As a result, tolerance naturally develops among students, enabling all SD Negeri 1 Balun students to live in harmony amidst their differences.
