Abstract

Human resources are the main key to achieving organizational goals, and they are very important in this regard. PT Bumi Siak Pusako is one of the companies that conducts an employee performance assessment. The assessment of managerial employees' work found that the results did not align with the company's targets.This study aims to determine the influence of individual characteristics and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) on employee performance at PT Bumi Siak Pusako in Pekanbaru City. This research employs a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to the entire population of 119 respondents using a saturated sampling technique. Data analysis techniques include descriptive analysis, instrument testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression, and hypothesis testing, all conducted using SPSS version 26. The research findings indicate that both individual characteristics and OCB have a positive and significant effect, both partially and simultaneously, on employee performance at PT Bumi Siak Pusako. The discussion reveals that enhancing individual characteristics and OCB can support the achievement of better employee performance. The conclusion of this study is that both independent variables, individual characteristics and OCB, jointly contribute significantly to improving employee performance in the company.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the efforts of the Gorontalo City Government in achieving the Nindya predicate for Child-Friendly City (CFC). The research focuses on three key aspects: inter-agency coordination among Local Government Organizations (OPD) and stakeholders, the implementation of program evaluation, and the availability of supporting budget. A qualitative approach with descriptive methods was applied. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with key informants such as the head of the agency, secretary, department heads, financial division, and community figures. The results show that the local government has formed a CFC Task Force and conducted cross-sectoral coordination. However, community and private sector participation remains limited. Program evaluation is carried out periodically but tends to emphasize administrative procedures rather than measuring the actual impact on children. Budget constraints are still a major challenge, as there is no dedicated allocation for CFC programs. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the government strengthen participatory coordination, improve impact-based evaluation systems, and advocate for thematic budget allocation to ensure the sustainability of CFC initiatives.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership and achievement motivation on the performance of health center employees in Ngaliyan District, Semarang City and to see whether there is an influence of affective commitment as an intervening variable. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a purposive sampling technique. The population in this study was 173 employees spread across three health centers in the Ngaliyan District, Semarang City, taken as a sample of 154 employees. Data processing using SEM-PLS analysis. Hypothesis testing uses two criteria, namely if t-statistics or the critical value is more than 1,96 then the hypothesis is accepted or when p-value less than 0.05 then the hypothesis is accepted. The results of the study indicate that transformational leadership does not affect employee performance, either directly or through the mediation of affective commitment. Achievement motivation has a significant effect on employee performance, either directly or through the mediation of affective commitment. These findings provide an illustration that the influence of transformational leadership on performance is not absolute and can vary depending on the organizational context, work culture, and employee perceptions.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the forms of community participation in the development of Cibuk Kidul Tourist Village, Sleman, Special Region of Yogyakarta, using the participation theory of Cohen and Uphoff (1977). In this study, the researcher employs qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. The research is located in Cibuk Kidul Tourist Village. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews with the government of Margoluwih village, managers of Cibuk Kidul Tourist Village, local communities, and documentation. Data analysis techniques involve data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. This research shows that the community of Cibuk Kidul Tourism Village has actively participated in the development of tourism, especially in the planning and implementation stages of locally-based programs. This participation is evident from the direct role of the community in designing tourism activities, building infrastructure, and acting as key players in tourism services (such as guides, homestay managers, and culinary businesses). As a result, community income has increased and collective awareness of the village's potential has grown. However, this participation is not yet evenly distributed, particularly in the aspects of monitoring and evaluation, as well as the equitable distribution of economic benefits among community groups.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of discipline and awareness on santri participation in environmental management at Pesantren Zaadul Ma’ad, Palembang City. A quantitative approach was employed, using questionnaires distributed to the students as the data collection technique. Environmental degradation has become a global challenge that demands the involvement of all sectors, including educational institutions. Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) play a strategic role in instilling values of discipline and environmental awareness among students (santri). The results show a significant correlation between the level of discipline and environmental awareness and the participation of santri in environmental preservation activities within the pesantren. Student discipline contributes to encouraging responsible behavior and active involvement in maintaining the cleanliness and beauty of the surrounding environment. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating character education and ecological awareness into the pesantren learning system as an effort to foster an environmentally conscious generation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the motivation and perception of generation Z in choosing a career as a State Civil Apparatus (ASN), by highlighting the driving factors, obstacles, and image of ASN in the eyes of the younger generation. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a thematic analysis approach. Informants were selected through purposive sampling techniques as many as 15 people, consisting of final year students, fresh graduates, and young civil servants aged 20-26 years who showed interest in the ASN profession. The data collection technique was carried out through in-depth interviews. The results of the study show that the main motivation of Generation Z in choosing a career as an ASN is a guarantee of job security, social status, and long-term stability. However, some negative perceptions also emerge, such as a rigid bureaucracy, lack of challenges, and lower starting salaries compared to the private sector. However, the existence of digital transformation and bureaucratic modernization has begun to affect the views of some informants towards the ASN profession more positively. This research shows the need for a more adaptive ASN branding and recruitment strategy, relevant to the values and expectations of Generation Z. This research contributes to the development of public sector human resource management studies, especially related to the career preferences of the younger generation which are still understudied in the Indonesian context.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the extent to which Work-Life Balance and Self-Efficacy contribute to Employee Engagement at CV Guna Abadi. Involving 100 employees from the company, this study meticulously employed methods to test the reliability and convergent validity of all investigated variables. The analysis results indicate that all variables exhibit good reliability, signifying consistent and accurate measurement. Furthermore, convergent validity was confirmed, demonstrating that the indicators used are valid and the research model is reliable. Further analysis revealed that both work-life balance and self-efficacy significantly contribute to employee engagement. These findings offer valuable insights for CV Guna Abadi's management in enhancing employee engagement. However, as this study was limited to a single company entity, subsequent research is recommended to broaden the scope of subjects for wider generalization of the results.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between work discipline, teamwork, and work motivation in shaping the performance of firefighters with the spirit of not going home before the fire is out. This research employs a descriptive quantitative method. The number of respondents in this study was 107 firefighters. Primary data was collected through a survey using a questionnaire, measured with a Likert scale, and processed using SmartPLS software. The results show that work discipline has a positive effect on performance, teamwork has a positive effect on performance, work discipline positively affects work motivation, teamwork positively affects work motivation, and performance positively affects work motivation. Additionally, work motivation mediates the relationship between work discipline and performance, as well as between teamwork and performance. Therefore, improving work discipline and teamwork, supported by high worl motivation, can enhance the performance of firefighters.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how experience during internships and motivation at work influence the development of practical skills possessed by final semester students at the Faculty of Economics, University of Garut. The approach used in this research is quantitative, with an associative research design, involving 74 respondents selected from a population of 277 students using the Slovin formula. Primary data were obtained through questionnaires, while secondary data were sourced from relevant scientific literature. Based on the results of the partial hypothesis test (t-test), the internship experience variable was found to have a significant influence on practical competence, as well as work motivation which was proven to make a positive contribution. Together, these two factors also have a positive impact on practical competence. A well-directed and structured internship experience is a key element in preparing students to fulfill their needs..

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of information system technology usage on the efficiency of employee performance at the Village Office of Rijang Panua, Kulo District, Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The research employed a quantitative approach using a simple linear regression analysis method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to all village employees as respondents. The results indicate that the use of information system technology has a significant effect on work efficiency, with a significance value of 0.000 and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.336. This means that 33.6% of the variation in employee performance efficiency can be explained by the application of information technology. The findings suggest that the integration of information systems supports faster workflows, improved accuracy, and more efficient public services. The conclusion of this study is that information technology plays an important role in improving the efficiency of village staff performance. However, its successful implementation requires the readiness of human resources and supporting infrastructure..
