Differences in the way of understanding the text and context of the Qur'an can cause problems, especially when the principles of the Qur'an are applied in the social life of the community. One of the topics that often triggers debate is the issue of gender equality. This difference in understanding arises due to the various approaches used in interpreting the texts of the Qur'an. Along with technological advances and changes in the times, many modern scholars feel the need to interpret by paying attention to the context of today, so that the Qur'an can be a solution to the challenges faced by the ummah in the contemporary era. This research aims to discuss the importance of understanding the interpretation of the Qur'an both textually and contextually and its impact on social life. Using an analytical descriptive approach through literature studies, this study examines in depth the relationship between text and context in exploring the meaning of the Qur'an, as well as how it affects society. The results of the study show that textual interpretation leads to an understanding of meanings that are in accordance with the time and place of the Qur'an, while the contextual approach encouraged by modern scholars is more relevant and practical to apply in the lives of today's society.

The purpose of this study is to develop a framework of thought regarding ontology, epistemology, and axiology in the interpretation of the Qur'an through a systematic approach in the philosophy of science. This study aims to identify, analyze, and construct a more comprehensive understanding of the three concepts, so that they can form a methodological basis that is relevant to the context of the interpretation of the Qur'an. By using the library study method, this study utilizes primary data from the main literature on the philosophy of science and 'Ulum al-Qur'an, as well as secondary data from journal articles and relevant academic documents. Primary data provides a strong conceptual foundation, while secondary data complements the analytical perspective by adding an applied context. This study highlights how ontology, epistemology, and axiology play a role as pillars in the formation of an interpretation methodology that is not only theoretical, but also applied. As a result, this study offers that through the systematics of ontology, epistemology, and axiology as a framework in a more holistic study of interpretation, it is able to answer modern challenges with relevance and depth, and contribute to the development of the method of interpretation of the Qur'an that integrates philosophical values in contemporary interpretation practices.

Stephen Hawking, a realist who adheres to positivism, asserts that the universe was created without God. This perspective considers nature to be only matter, an entity without a soul. On the other hand, one of the factors causing environmental damage is the anthropocentric paradigm that considers humans as the most important element in the universe. Ironically, this paradigm uses the holy book of the heavenly religions to legitimize its thinking, as found in Genesis 1:28 and the Qur'an in Surah al-Baqarah [2]: 29. In the interpretation of the Qur'an, to find a concept is not enough with just one verse, a series of steps need to be taken in order to produce a comprehensive interpretation. For this reason, the Maudu'i interpretation method is used to explore the concept of the Qur'an about the creation of the universe and its maintenance and how humans function in the universe. The authors found that: 1. With the Rububiyah dimension, Allah SWT is the Creator, Owner, Manager and Maintainer of nature. Humans are the khalifatullah/representatives of Allah SWT on earth who are allowed to use natural resources while maintaining their sustainability. 2. Ecotheology in the Qur'an can be understood in the sense: "The science that studies the interaction between creatures in their ecosystem based on the verses of takwn (universe/ecology) and tadwn (Qur'anic texts as the basis of theology)." Ecotheology is related to efforts to preserve the environment through balancing human rights and obligations towards nature and respect for the human rights of nature. This is because in the Qur'an, both humans and nature have their respective roles and purposes of creation as fellow creations of God. Humans as khalifah fi al-‘ard}/prosperers of the earth and nature are partners of humans in carrying out this mandate. Nature is the same as humans as fellow creations of God (ukhuwah makhluqiyyah) who also have the right to worship, develop and live in groups in their communities

Understanding the differences between Makkiyah and Madaniyah verses in the study of Qur'anic interpretation is essential to understand the evolution of Islamic teachings and their application in various contexts. The Makkiyah verses, which were revealed before the Hijrah, emphasize the basic teachings of faith, life after death, and morality, while the Madaniyah verses, which were revealed after the Prophet Muhammad migrated to Medina, focus on social, legal, and political aspects. This study aims to analyze the orientalist and occidentalist views on these differences and their impact on the understanding of Qur'anic texts. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with thematic analysis of primary and secondary sources, including classical and modern interpretations as well as orientalist and occidentalist works. The results show that orientalists emphasize more historical-critical aspects in examining these verses, while occidentalist thinkers focus on contextualizing Islamic teachings with Western social theory. An understanding of the differences between Makkiyah and Madaniyah verses is essential for refuting orientalist and occidentalist claims, as well as for adapting interpretations in the face of contemporary social challenges.

The function of imagination is related to the speaker's creative ability in building meaning and expression through language. Imaginary language style is a power of the Qur'an in affirming itself as the word of God. This language style is able to transform the dead symbols of the Qur'anic language into a series of meanings that are alive and moving in the minds of its readers. This study uses a qualitative methodology based on library research which goes through theoretical studies and analysis of the literature that will be the primary material for this writing. In this case, books that specifically discuss the language style of the Qur'an, books of interpretation and books related to the Qur'an in general. The results of this study are then described and used as an analytical tool for the verses of the Qur'an. Imaginary language style is widely used in expressing things that are still abstract, such as the beauty of heaven, the horror of hell and the chaos of the apocalypse. In the discipline of Arabic stylistics, this imagination can be expressed following the patterns of simile, metaphor, metonymy, and figures of speech. Each pattern has a distinctive background and impression

The Caliphate as an Islamic-based government system has colored the history of Islamic world civilization for centuries. Since the life of the Prophet Saw until the era of Khulafaur Rashidin's reign. However, the discourse about its relevance and implementation in government is often colored by debates about the pros and cons, one of which is related to the existence of maudhu'i (thematic) hadiths that support or even discredit the Khilafah system. This research aims to examine the Maudhu'i (thematic) hadith of the Khilafah in the Islamic government discourse from a hadith perspective. The research methodology uses a qualitative approach with analysis of hadith texts and related literature. Research findings show that the existence of maudhu'i (thematic) hadith has sparked controversy and confusion in understanding the concept and model of the ideal Khilafah. Maudhu'i (thematic) hadiths supporting the Khilafah are often used by certain groups to legitimize claims of absolute authority and certain government structures. On the other hand, Maudhu'i hadiths which discredit the Khilafah are used by other parties to reject this model of government as a whole. This research concludes that to build a contextual and relevant Khilafah discourse in the modern era, critical awareness of the existence of the Maudhu'i hadith is needed. Tracing the sanad (chain of narration) and holistic analysis of the contents of hadith are crucial in selecting sources that are valid and reflect authentic Islamic teachings. In addition, it needs to be understood that the Khilafah is not a single and indisputable model, but rather a concept that must be adapted and interpreted according to the socio-political dynamics and needs of Muslims in the contemporary era

Human nature and its potential is one of the important themes in Islamic education. This theme discusses who humans really are and what potential they have. In the perspective of the Qur'an and hadith, humans are noble creatures and have extraordinary potential. These potentials include the mind, heart and soul. The intellect is the human potential to think and understand. The heart is the human potential to feel and live. The soul is the human potential for action and will. These three potentials must be developed optimally so that humans can achieve the perfection of their lives. An understanding of human nature and its potential is very important for Islamic educators. This understanding will help educators to understand the needs and characteristics of students. Thus, educators can provide education that is appropriate and in accordance with the potential of students.
