Abstract

The city of Madiun is nicknamed the City of Girls which is an acronym for trade, education and industry. These nicknames are certainly pinned not without reason. Because nicknames are generally taken from characteristics or elements that are highlighted in something. This study aims to find out how the city of Madiun has grown according to its nickname as the City of Gadis. The method used is literature study. Based on the secondary data that has been collected above, it can be concluded that the city of Madiun as a city of Gadis does not fully deserve this title. Because several problems that show the negligence of the Madiun city government in the education sector and industrial factories still need special attention. On the other hand, in the trade sector, the city of Madiun continues to grow in a positive direction. This needs to be accompanied by efforts to continue to maintain and improve the trade sector in the city of Madiun

Abstract

Writing is one of the skills students need to write different types of writing. However, not all students have good enough writing skills to use this at school. The problem was identified by the researcher in his previous observations of an SMPN-1 Murung, specifically in 8th grade, on March 9, 2023. Student tasks consist of choosing appropriate words, using grammar (simple past tense), developing ideas, and using punctuation marks. A student's average score is below 60 on the KKM (Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal), but her KKM at the school is expected to be 72. Based on this issue, the researcher applied the project-based learning (PjBL) model to help students improve their writing skills in the classroom. The technique for collecting samples is purposive sampling, and the technique for determining control and experimental groups is odd-even technique. The type of this study is a quasi-experimental with pre-test, treatment (using the PjBL method), and post-test design. The sample consists of 48 students of 8th grade from SMPN-1 Murung. Data collection techniques include pre-tests and post-tests. SPSS version 21 was used for data analysis. Based on data analysis, the experimental group had a mean pre-test score of 59.5 and a mean post-test score of 75.75. Finally, based on hypothesis testing, the significance value is 0.000 < 0.05 (sign value lower than t table). From this, we can conclude that Ha (the alternative hypothesis) is accepted and H0 (the null hypothesis) is rejected. Based on the results of this study, English teacher can be recommended using PjBL when teaching narrative text of writing to the 8th students of SMPN-1 Murung

Abstract

The main focus of this writing is to analyze the concept of Aristotle's ethics of friendship in relation to efforts to achieve social well-being for domestic workers. Aristotle's concept of ethics of friendship is seen to have a contribution in upholding rights and realizing social well-being for domestic workers. The method used in this writing is literature study with a phenomenological approach, viewed from the perspective of Aristotle's ethics of friendship. The current phenomenon of life shows that domestic workers often do not receive legal protection and justice. The forms of injustice experienced by domestic workers include unjust wages, violence, and lack of social security. This happens because domestic workers are considered low-class workers who are exploited by employers for their own interests. This ultimately prevents domestic workers from experiencing well-being. The findings of this writing are that efforts to achieve social well-being for domestic workers can be realized if everyone realizes the presence of others as friends. Building friendship is very useful in maintaining harmony and creating well-being. This concept of friendship is ultimately crucial for domestic workers to ensure their rights and lead them to well-being. Friendship helps individuals to broaden their perspective that everyone has the same rights and dignity. This is capable of bringing human beings to well-being because its criterion lies in the well-being of each individual

Abstract

This article aims to find out what citizenship traits grow and develop in students by participating in this extracurricular activity. And also how students can maintain the good character they already have and what extracurricular activities are available at MAN KOTA PALANGKA RAYA. Of course, this extracurricular activity is a place for students to develop their character and students are expected to form characters that are creative, think critically, work together, be independent and have faith in God Almighty. This data collection technique uses observation and documentation techniques. The research data were analyzed descriptive qualitatively. The results of this study indicate that (1) Many citizenship characters are formed such as having good manners, respecting the rights of others, obeying rules, open and critical thinking and tolerance. (2) Extracurricular activities can also prevent students from carrying out deviant behavior (3) At the MAN KOTA PALANGKA RAYA school there are lots of extracurricular activities, including: Scouts, PMR, Sports, Arts, Journalism/Podcast, Paskibra, Sispala, Drumband and Alloys Voice

Abstract

Pembelajaran daring kolaboratif (PDK) is initiated by Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi to accelerate online learning in higher education. This qualitative study explores the implementation of PDK in Pendidikan Sejarah dan Sosiologi IKIP Budi Utomo and Pendidikan Sejarah Universitas Flores in Sistem Budaya dan Dinamika course. The study employs interviews, observations, and document analysis to investigate the students' perceptions of the effectiveness of PDK in enhancing their learning outcomes and engagement. The findings of this study reveal that PDK was positively received by the students and was considered successful. However, some technical issues, such as network problems, created obstacles to the learning process. The students overcame these challenges by making an effort to listen and understand the course materials. This study highlights the potential benefits and challenges of using collaborative online learning in higher education. It shows that PDK can enhance students' learning outcomes and engagement by providing opportunities for peer collaboration, increased interaction between students in different place, and more contextual learning. However, technical issues can pose challenges to the learning process and require effort from both students and instructors to overcome them

Abstract

Traditional arts have the potential to be internalized in social studies learning. Unfortunately, social studies teachers at SMPN 24 Malang have not developed teaching materials that include elements of traditional arts even though there is already a PPST class (art class program for junior hight school). Teachers also have not improved teaching materials that apply a contextual approach in the form of the local history of the Malang area. This research and development aim to 1) produce LKPD products for the history of the Singosari Kingdom for PPST class for social studies subject by integrating the temple of Batik patterns, and 2) Do test the feasibility of the developed LKPD products. Product development in this study uses an Research and Development (R&D) approach with ADDIE design. Data collection was carried out using instruments in the form of validation sheets and student respon questionnaires. Before distributing the questionnaire to the product trial subjects, the validity and reliability of the questionnaire were tested. The LKPD feasibility test through validation is carried out by material experts, learning media experts, and language experts. The implementations of LKPD was carried out in a limited group of 29 students. Based on the results of the validation and trial tests, this LKPD is categorized as "Very Eligible" to be applied in PPST class social studies learning. LKPD improvements were also made based on input from validators and test subjects

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the power of traditional culinary shrimp paste in an ethnopedagogical perspective and the process of shrimp paste production, and the people's reasons for shrimp paste production. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The shrimp paste is produced using very traditional techniques and tools and utilizes existing Natural Resources (SDA), so that this Puger Terasi has a high taste and quality. In addition, the reason why people produce shrimp paste is because people work in the fisheries and marine products sector. The shrimp paste production process is carried out by the community in Puger to increase income and create jobs so as to reduce unemployment

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze and describe religious tolerance among students at Murung Raya Dormitory, Palangka Raya City. This research uses a qualitative approach with a qualitative descriptive type. The research informants consisted of 1 head of the male dormitory manager, 1 head of the female dormitory manager, 1 administrative staff, 1 security guard, 1 Muslim student, 1 Christian and 1 Hindu and students from different sub-districts/villages 3 people. Data collection used observation, interview and documentation methods, while the data analysis technique in this study was an interactive analysis with data reduction flow, data presentation and conclusion drawing (verification). The results of the study revealed that 1) Tolerance that occurs between students is very well established. The form of tolerance that is practiced is cooperation with each other regardless of religious differences, not intimidating certain religions. Succeed in religious activities. If there are students who need help individually then other students will help regardless of religious differences. Managers also play an important role in maintaining harmony among students. One form of justice carried out by the managers is placing new students in their rooms regardless of religious differences. the administrators also make a schedule of community service, mutual cooperation, monthly meetings and hold student social gatherings. The aim is to establish familiarity, get to know each other and train cooperation between students. 2) Supporting factors The manager provides a place of worship for students and confirms the regulations that apply in the dormitory and acts as an intermediary for students. The inhibiting factor is the presence of stereotypes

Abstract

Project based learning requires teachers to manage learning on a project basis for students. Project-based learning activates students in learning activities. Project-based learning requires solving problems by applying the skills of researching, analyzing, creating, and presenting learning products based on real experiences. Social studies subjects at the elementary school level usually present several problems that can be applied with project-based learning in solving them. And Project Based Learning or project-based learning is a learning process that focuses on students and everything that students do to receive knowledge. In learning with a project based learning metode, students are expected to be able to solve real problems to be solved. The problem itself can stimulate the activeness of students to think or in other words allow students to find and solve problems and communicate ideas in new and appropriate ways. As educators, we always try to make learning calm, comfortable, and fun, that's how we make students a source of project activities to produce something that is the goal of the learning

Abstract

Criminal thinking can be interpreted as a condition of a person's thinking to commit a desired criminal act by going against the existing rules through justifications for actions that are considered true and common. The criminal thinking process can be controlled by being given the right treatment in order to restore the thinking process according to the applicable norms and rules. This study has a purpose to determine the effect of self-control on criminal thinking of prisoners at Correctional Institution Class I Surakarta. The research method used is quantitative method by distributing questionnaires. Sampling using stratified random sampling as many as 86 respondents of prisoners at Correctional Institution Class I Surakarta. The questionnaire consists of self-control variables using the Self-Control Scale and criminal thinking variables using the TCU Criminal Thinking Scale (TCU CTS), each of them consist 24 statement items. Data analysis used descriptive test, normality test, linearity test, simple linear regression test, significance test, and determination test with IBM SPSS 26.0 software. There are research results that the value of t arithmetic > t table (5,497 > 1,989) where t arithmetic is negative which means it is inversely proportional. So that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is a significant and negative effect of self-control on the criminal thinking of prisoners at Correctional Institution Class I Surakarta. The results of the determination test obtained R square value of 0.265 which indicates that the magnitude of the influence of self-control on criminal thinking of prisoners is 26.5% while the remaining 73.5% is influenced by other factors
