Abstract

This study delves into the determinants of profitability in conventional banks. This study uses a quantitative method to analyze the factors influencing bank profitability. This study uses balanced panel data using the fixed-effects model from 18 conventional banks from 2009 to 2021 in Indonesia. The results suggest that COVID-19 has a negative impact on profitability. Nevertheless, bank specifics such as capital and bank size positively influenced profitability, while efficiency significantly negatively influenced profitability. Moreover, this study delves into macroeconomic indicators, revealing their pronounced significance. Economic growth and interest rates emerged as substantial drivers, positively shaping bank profitability. Conversely, the exchange rate exerted a noteworthy negative influence on profitability. Bank stakeholders are expected to improve performance by increasing the bank's capital and assets. A bank should be able to increase its size through its total assets. Monetary policies, such as controlling interest and exchange rates, are found to be an important factor in determining banking profitability.

Abstract

This study determined the impact of changes in the Jakarta Islamic Index's Consumer Goods sector's Earnings Per Share, Return on Equity, and Gross Domestic Product from 2018 to 2020. This work uses panel data regression analysis and quantitative research techniques with secondary data. A purposive sampling method, or sample selection strategy based on several variables, was employed to choose the sample of firms in the consumer goods sector represented in the JII index. The F test results indicate that from 2018 to 2020, GDP, EPS, and ROE can impact the share price of JII issuers. According to the T-test, only EPS may have an enormous positive impact on stock prices, whereas ROE has a significant negative effect. GDP demonstrates that from 2018 to 2020, firms' stock prices in the consumer goods sector listed on JII are unaffected by GDP.

Abstract

The focus of this study aims to analyze the egoistic, biospheric and green self-identity values of green purchase intentions in Indonesia who have experience consuming green brands. Because the research approach used purposive nonprobability sampling, questionnaire techniques and PLS data analysis were chosen. The results of this study show that egoistic value has a positive effect on green self-identity but negatively on green purchase intention. The value of the biosphere hurts green self-identity but positively on green purchase intention. Finally, green self-identity has a positive effect on green purchase intention. Of course, this will be an essential contribution to future research as additional knowledge, especially for governments, developers, managers or other business actors in realizing environmentally friendly behaviour. The practical and theoretical implications of this study are discussed in more depth.

Abstract

This study studies the determining factor for the effectiveness of e-commerce traffic in Indonesia. Four factors influence the level of effectiveness of e-commerce traffic. The first two factors are App Store and Play Store rankings. The next factor is the number of interactions with social media users, such as Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. The last factor determining the effectiveness of e-commerce traffic is the number of employees from each e-commerce company. Using panel data regression, this study has obtained that the Play Store rank has a more significant effect on the effectiveness of e-commerce traffic than the App Store rank. The other findings are that social media visitors do not affect significantly, while the number of employees has a positive relationship and significantly influences the effectiveness of traffic e-commerce.

Abstract

This research explores how consumers' familiarity with a brand and the quality of information they encounter impact their engagement with the brand's social media presence. Additionally, we investigate how this engagement influences consumers' attitudes toward the brand's social media and their intentions for future purchases. This study also delves into the mediating role of social media engagement in the relationship between brand familiarity, information quality, consumers' attitudes toward the brand's social media, and their intentions for future purchases. The research employed a quantitative methodology, specifically purposive sampling, a non-probability approach. Data were collected through online surveys, with 441 samples obtained. The data were analyzed using PLS-SEM with SmartPLS to test hypotheses and draw conclusions. Consequently, all ten hypotheses were validated.
