Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes through the application of pop-up book media assisted by LKS Crossword Puzzle. This classroom action research (CAR) used a descriptive quantitative approach. In the pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II. 36 students were involved in the study. Multiple choice questions (posttest), observation, and documentation were the data collection methods used. The cognitive learning outcomes of students in the pre-cycle showed an average value of 60.69, with the percentage of students achieving KKM of 36%, while 64% of students did not achieve KKM. The affective learning outcomes of students showed an average value of 56.56, with the percentage of students who successfully achieved completion reaching 28%, while the percentage of students who had not completed was 72%, which was categorized as low. In cycle I, the students' learning outcomes obtained an average cognitive value of 81.19; students who completed KKM were 81%, while 19% did not complete, and the affective learning outcomes of students obtained an average value of 76.86 with 67%, and students who did not complete were 33%. However, the increase in educational outcomes of students in cycle I. In cycle II, the average cognitive value achieved by students was 95.22, with the proportion of students who achieved KKM reaching 94%, while the number of students who did not meet KKM was 6%, The affective learning outcomes of students also increased significantly, with an average value of 92.3 and students who achieved 94% of students who did not 6%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the (NHT) learning approach combined with diorama media displaying LKPD crossword puzzles can affect the learning outcomes of seventh grade students at Muhammadiyah Waingapu Middle School. This type of research is experimental research. It consists of two classes: the experimental class and the control class. The stages of the research are: preparation, implementation, and completion. The sample for this study consisted of 18 students of class VII A, which is the experimental class, and 16 students of class VII B, which is the control class. The data collection techniques and instruments used were tests. The data analysis techniques used were validity and reliability tests, descriptive analysis, normality and homogeneity tests, hypothesis testing, namely paired sample t-tests using SPSS version 31. The results of the study can be seen from the comparison of the average value of the control class 49.06 (pretest), 59.06 (posttest) and the experimental class average value obtained 57.78 (pretest), 89.44 (posttest). The results of hypothesis testing using the dependent sample t test which has a Sig value (2-tailed) of 0.000 means that the value is <0.05 so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. It can be concluded that the numbered head together learning model assisted by diorama media equipped with LKPD Crossword Puzzles has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of class VII A students which is an experimental class at SMP Muhammadiyah Waingapu.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the relationship between gender, knowledge, and eating patterns with the nutritional status of students at SMP Negeri 6 Meureubo, West Aceh Regency, in 2025. Using a quantitative cross-sectional design, the study involved 61 seventh- and eighth-grade students selected through random sampling. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results revealed no significant relationship between gender and nutritional status (p = 0.746), suggesting that gender does not influence students’ nutritional conditions. However, a significant relationship was found between nutritional knowledge and nutritional status (p = 0.014), and between dietary patterns and nutritional status (p = 0.004). Students with good knowledge and healthy eating habits tended to have normal or ideal nutritional status. These findings indicate that knowledge and eating patterns play a key role in determining adolescent nutrition, while gender does not. Therefore, interventions should focus on increasing students’ nutritional awareness and encouraging healthy eating habits. Schools are encouraged to integrate nutrition education into the curriculum, provide nutritious food options in canteens, and involve parents in promoting healthy behaviors to foster a healthier and more productive generation of adolescents.

Abstract

The nutritional status of preschool children is significantly influenced by dietary patterns, especially the excessive consumption of sugary foods. High-sugar foods increase the risk of undernutrition and other health complications. Maternal knowledge and attitudes towards nutrition play a crucial role in shaping children's eating habits. This study aimed to analyze the correlation between maternal knowledge and attitudes regarding sugary food consumption and the nutritional status of preschool children aged 1–5 years. A quantitative study with a cross-sectional design was conducted among 120 children, using purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and anthropometric measurements and analyzed using the Spearman correlation test. The results showed a significant positive correlation between maternal knowledge and children's nutritional status (r = 0.404, p < 0.001), and a significant negative correlation between maternal attitudes and nutritional status (r = –0.508, p < 0.001). These findings emphasize the importance of enhancing maternal nutrition education and promoting positive attitudes toward healthy food choices to improve the nutritional status of preschool children. foods, and not postponing meal schedules even in the midst of busy academic activities such as studying and working on final assignments.

Abstract

One of the causes of nutritional problems among adolescents was the lack of knowledge about nutrition and irregular eating patterns, which became one of the factors leading to an imbalance in nutrient intake. Nutritional imbalances during adolescence could result in various negative impacts such as anemia, obesity, growth disorders, and decreased concentration in learning. This study aimed to analyze the effect of Balanced Nutrition Education on improving knowledge and eating patterns among students at SMP Negeri 1 Arongan Lambalek. The method used was a quantitative approach with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The analysis employed the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that there was a significant effect of Balanced Nutrition Education on improving adolescents' knowledge at SMP Negeri 1 Arongan Lambalek (p-value = 0.000 < 0.05), and there was a significant effect on adolescents' eating patterns (p-value = 0.008 < 0.05). Conclusion there was an effect of Balanced Nutrition Education on increasing knowledge and improving eating patterns among students at SMP Negeri 1 Arongan Lambalek. Recommendation future research was advised to include other variables such as attitudes, balanced nutrition practices, and to extend the duration of nutritional interventions for more detailed results.

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan suatu kondisi ketika tekanan darah di atas batas normal yaitu 140/90 mmHg. Tekanan darah tinggi sering kali tidak menunjukkan gejala. Seiring waktu, jika tidak diobati dapat menyebabkan masalah kesehatan, seperti penyakit jantung dan stroke. Beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya hipertensi, diantaranya kualitas tidur dan aktivitas fisik. Angka kejadian hipertensi cukup tinggi di kabupaten Aceh Jaya selama 3 tahun terakhir yaitu mencapai 6.451 kasus didapatkan bahwa lansia yang terdiagnosa hipertensi kelima tertinggi di kecamatan Panga. Berdasarkan data dari Puskesmas Panga didapatkan bahwa lansia yang terdiagnosa hipertensi paling banyak di desa Ladang Baro yang berjumlah 33 kasus. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kualitas tidur dan aktivitas fisik dengan kejadian hipertensi pada lansia di desa Ladang Baro kecamatan Panga, Aceh Jaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional, penelitian ini terdiri dari dua variabel yaitu variabel independent kualitas tidur, aktivitas fisik dan variabel dependent kejadian hipertensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa responden dengan kualitas tidur kurang baik yaitu 38 responden (63.3%). Aktivitas fisik pada responden dominannya masuk dalam kategori kurang baik yaitu berjumlah 32 responden (53.3%). Berdasarkan kejadian hipertensi menunjukkan bahwa 33 responden (55.0%) masuk kedalam kategori hipertensi. Hasil analisis kualitas tidur didapatkan nilai p value =0,001<0,05 artinya terdapat hubungan antara kualitas tidur dengan kejadian hipertensi. Hasil analisis aktivitas fisik di dapatkan nilai p value = 0,002< 0,05 artinya terdapat hubungan antara aktivitas fisik dengan kejadian hipertensi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini, terdapat hubungan antara kualitas tidur dan aktivitas fisik dengan kejadian hipertensi pada lansia di desa Ladang Baro kecamatan Panga, Aceh Jaya. Bagi lansia yang hipertensi diharapkan untuk mengimplementasikan atau menerapkan kualitas tidur yang baik yaitu 6-7 jam dan aktivitas fisik yang baik yaitu minimal berjalan kaki sehari 30 menit.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the cognitive and affective learning outcomes of students and the improvement of learning outcomes of SMP Muhammadiyah Waingapu implementing the Numbered Head Together model assisted by handout media equipped with LKPD TTS. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) using a descriptive quantitative approach. The subjects in this study were students of class VIII A of SMP Muhammadiyah Waingapu. The data collection instruments used consisted of observation sheets and written tests. The results of this study showed a significant increase in cognitive learning outcomes, from 31% in the pre-cycle increasing to 75% in cycle I, and then increasing again to 94% in cycle II. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of the numbered head together model assisted by handout media equipped with LKPD TTS can improve the learning outcomes of students of class VIII A of SMP Muhammadiyah Wangapu.

Abstract

Complementary Feeding (MP-ASI) plays a vital role for infants aged 6–12 months in fulfilling nutritional needs that can no longer be met by breast milk alone. Proper MP-ASI provision is crucial in supporting optimal growth and development during this critical period. Maternal knowledge and attitudes are two key factors influencing the success of complementary feeding practices. This study aims to examine the relationship between maternal knowledge and attitudes and the practice of MP-ASI provision in the working area of UPTD Puskesmas Simeulue Barat in 2024. A quantitative, cross-sectional design was employed, involving 49 mothers with infants aged 6–12 months, selected through total sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using the Chi-square test. The results revealed a significant relationship between maternal knowledge (p = 0.040) and attitudes (p = 0.017) and MP-ASI feeding practices. It is recommended that the local health center strengthen education efforts at community health posts (posyandu) regarding the appropriate timing, frequency, and texture of MP-ASI, supported by health cadres and interactive visual media. In addition, practical training for mothers on preparing nutritious MP-ASI using local ingredients should be encouraged. Future research is suggested to include additional variables such as cultural influences, family and social support, and access to information.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe students’ cognitive and affective learning outcomes as well as the improvement in learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 1 Kambera after implementing the Index Card Match model assisted by flipchart media. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) using a descriptive quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Kambera. Data collection instruments consisted of observation sheets and written tests. The results of this study show a significant improvement in cognitive learning outcomes, increasing from 27% in the pre-cycle to 60% in cycle I, and then increasing further to 87% in cycle II. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Index Card Match model assisted by flipchart media can improve the learning outcomes of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Kambera.

Abstract

Nutritional status is a person's physical and health condition that is influenced by food intake and the use of nutrients in the body. Nutritional status can affect various nutritional problems that can occur in all age groups and can cause short-term/long-term health problems such as infectious diseases, obesity, obesity and other metabolic diseases. Good and optimal nutritional status is achieved when the body gets enough nutrients and is able to use them efficiently. Appropriate nutrient intake is essential to prevent disorders in growth and development, especially in school-age children. This study aims to analyze the relationship between macronutrient intake and nutritional knowledge on the nutritional status of children at Reusak Elementary School, Samatiga District, West Aceh Regency. The method used is a quantitative survey with a cross-sectional design, involving 73 students from grades IV, V, and VI. Data were collected through a questionnaire that assessed nutritional knowledge and a 2x24-hour food recall method that was not carried out consecutively to measure macronutrient intake. The results showed that the majority of respondents had normal nutritional status as many as 37 respondents, although the number of students who had abnormal nutritional status was not much different as many as 36 respondents. The results of the Chi-Square test show that there is a relationship between fat intake and nutritional status of 0.016. For the variables of carbohydrate and protein intake to nutritional status, there is no relationship (P =0,640) and (P = 0.366). So it is concluded that increasing nutritional knowledge and balanced macronutrient intake is very important to achieve optimal nutritional status in children. This study is expected to be the basis for further research and this study also recommends the need for a more intensive nutritional education program for students and parents to prevent nutritional problems in children.
