Abstract

Environmental literacy is defined as knowledge of the mechanism of action of the natural environment, then the role of humans in it to preserve a sustainable environment. Relations between gender and environmental literacy be interesting to study it is interesting to study the framework of the influence of gender differences on environmental literacy education. This aims of research is to describe the profile of environmental literacy based on gender in high school students in Pemalang Regency. The research subject was students of class XI of SMAN throughout Pemalang District with a total sample of 351 students. Data were collected using a test and questionnaire method. From the results of the research, obtained an average value of environmental literacy profiles for male students at 63.54 and for female students at 64.05. Based on the Sig.Levene's Test for Equality of Variances test of 0.897, it means that the data variance for the male and female groups is homogeneous. Furthermore, data analysis is based on Sig (2 tailed) values of 0.559> 0.05, meaning H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected. Therefore, based on data analysis, there is no significant difference between the environmental literacy profiles of male and female students. Therefore, there is no need for differences in the implementation of assessments in environmental education, both for male and female students. Keywords: enviromental literacy, gender, profile

Abstract

The main objectives of this study is to describe students' scientific attitudes on the solubility and solubility product concept before and after guided inquiry-based learning. The scientific attitude in this study includes four indicators, that is student attitudes towards science, the importance of science in life, student responses to science as a career, and student responses to learning science in school. Scientific attitudes play an important role in student decision making to develop scientific knowledge further, pursue careers in science, and use scientific concepts and methods in their lives. This study used a survey method for 40 students enrolled in the 2017/2018 academic year. Data obtained through questionnaires and observations of scientific attitudes during learning activities. The questionnaire technique consisted of a self-assessment sheet and an assessment sheet between friends, each containing 30 statements (positive and negative). This sheet was given before and after learning activities. Data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively according to the description. The results of scientific attitudes obtained from the self-assessment sheet and among friends are presented in Table 1. From the results of the study, it was shown that student attitudes towards science were the highest scores for the scientific aspects and there were differences in students' scientific attitudes before and after guided inquiry-based learning on the solubility and solubility product concept. Keywords: Scientific attitude, guided inquiry, solubility and solubility product concept

Abstract

Augmented Reality is actually not something foreign to the general public, it's just that they don't know what Augmented Reality itself means, Augmented Reality cards can generally be found in some snacks, which the cards can be scanned through a special application available on the Playstore. However, currently researchers are making Augmented Reality for learning, in this case researchers are using bee metamorphosis, so learning becomes more interesting. This study aims to describe the feasibility of Augmented Reality media for bee metamorphosis and to determine student responses to the attractiveness of Augmented Reality media for bee metamorphosis. The development model used is the ADDIE model which includes: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. Products are validated by one media expert and one material expert. The attractiveness test was carried out on 5 students of MTs Al-Ihsan Kalijaring Jombang. Data obtained from media experts, namely 80% with proper qualifications, criteria from material experts, namely 88% with very decent qualifications, while from the data students get a score of 88.75% with qualifications strongly attractiveness. The results of the assessment of media experts, material experts and student responses show that the bee metamorphosis Augmented Reality can be used as a learning media.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine and understand the implementation of the reciprocal teaching learning model of students' learning outcomes of natural science (IPA). This research uses library research or what is usually called (library research). Sources of data in this study are primary data sources (Aris Shoimin's book 2014) and secondary data taken from journals that support the research. The approach in this research is literature study which is an activity to look for theoretical references that are relevant to the research. The data collection techniques used were library techniques and documentation techniques. Meanwhile, the analysis technique used is text and discourse analysis. The steps in the learning model developed by Palinscar and Brown have 5 steps. The results of this study indicate that the reciprocal teaching learning model is very influential on student learning outcomes. Reciprocal learning model; teaching improves students' science learning outcomes.

Abstract

Geoscience is a study of earth, it is easy to find around everyday students ;ife. The aim of this research is to develop Geoscience Students Worksheets based on scientific work to enhance students scientific work and conceptual mastery also to test the validity of the Geoscience Students Wroksheets through experts appraisal and students response. This reasearch is R & D research using 4D model until Develop stage. Data collection techniques including survey and interview technique. The question in the questionnaire consists on closed ended and open ended, the close ended question it to measure the validity and students response while open ended question for obtaining suggestions from all experts and students. Moreover, interview conducted during preliminary study. There are two validators in this research, they are content and learning media expert with Science Education educational background. In addition, ten students respondents in this research are already took the Geoscience Course last year. Quantitative data was analyzed by comparing the score with certain criteria and qualitative data was analyzed with finding common topics. Validation result and students respon results show that Geoscience Students Worksheets is very valid with score from content expert, learning media expert, and students consecutively  90,01%, 85,70%, and 89,4%.

Abstract

This research aimed at training science education students as a pre-service teacher in constructing assessment instruments of cognitive domain through constructivist classroom. The modification of constructivist classroom in material of cognitive domain test assessment procedures was developed by researcher. The subject of this research were 22 college students semester V of natural science education students at STKIP Modern Ngawi. The research used pre-experimental design with one-shot case study design. The instruments used for analyzing the competences in constructing assessment instruments of cognitive domain was by students learning outcomes completeness sheet. The college students will be said to be complete their competences if they sufficient Criterion Referenced Evaluation specifically more than equal to 75%. Empirically, the result of this research according to the completeness of student learning outcomes as a whole was 85.50% or in a very valid category. It means that natural science education students can construct well assessment instruments of cognitive domain trough constructivist classroom.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the scientific literacy ability of class IPA 11th grade students at traditional Islamic boarding schools using the 2015 PISA framework. Descriptive quantitative method used for this research. The research was conducted at two traditional Islamic boarding schools in South Tangerang called the Jamiyah Islamiyah Islamic Boarding School and the Madinatunnajah Islamic Boarding School. The research sample consisted of 57 students consisting of 33 students of the Jamiyah Islamiyah Islamic Boarding School and 24 students of the Madinatunnajah Islamic Boarding School chosen using a purposive sampling technique. The written test used is a test that distributed at PISA 2012 and 2015 which focus on two main domains of PISA 2015 scientific literacy, namely the domain of competence and knowledge. The results of this study indicate that the scientific literacy skills of students in Islamic boarding schools using the 2015 PISA framework are still "low" with an average percentage of scientific literacy obtained of 29.03%.
