JURNAL PSIMAWA: Diskursus Ilmu psikologi dan Pendidikan merupakan jurnal berkala ilmiah yang dipublikasi oleh Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Teknologi Sumbawa terbit setahun dua kali, yakni bulan Juni dan Desember. Jurnal Psimawa berisikan tulisan ilmiah berupa hasil penelitian, survei, gagasan konseptual atau hasil pemikiran reflektif yang kritis tentang diskursus ilmu-ilmu psikologi dan pendidikan yang disajikan secara sistematik dengan menggunakan gaya selingkung. Abstract

The phenomenon of TikTok usage among Generation Z is increasingly widespread, especially as a medium for self-expression or self-disclosure. TikTok has evolved beyond just entertainment; it now serves as a space for self-exploration, self-image construction, and social relationship building. Students at the University of Technology Sumbawa, as part of Generation Z, tend to share various aspects of their lives—ranging from daily activities and personal experiences to emotional expressions—through videos, captions, and music on TikTok. This study aims to explore the forms of self-disclosure practiced by students through TikTok. A descriptive qualitative approach is used, with data collection techniques including interviews, observation, and documentation. The Johari Window theory is applied in analyzing the data, dividing self-disclosure into four main areas: open, hidden, blind, and unknown. The results show that students' self-disclosure varies from openness and concealment of personal information to hidden potential. TikTok serves as a powerful space for self-expression, yet it is still shaped by cultural, privacy, and social norms.

Abstract

Leadership clearly has an impact on organizational success, and previous research has revealed the antecedents and consequences of the effects of leadership style and leader personality traits. The researcher's focus on the context of authentic leadership in youth organizations has received little attention and very little research on it, so the question arises: does the role of emotional intelligence affect authentic leadership practices in youth organizations. The researcher also observed from the side of emotional intelligence that affects authentic leadership, resulting in effective decision making in youth organizations. There are several problems faced by all leaders of youth organizations because of the various roles, attitudes, behaviors and emotions that affect leadership in managing the organization. This study uses a quantitative approach technique by distributing online scale questionnaires to 215 members of one of the youth organizations in Indonesia. Hypothesis testing was carried out using the multiple regression analysis method. The results of the analysis showed that emotional intelligence has a role in authentic leadership with an effective contribution of 58.4%.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how the formation of spiritual intelligence (SQ) in early childhood can be optimized through the family environment using the deep learning approach as an adaptive and in-depth learning model. The deep learning approach in this context is interpreted as an intensive and layered learning process, involving emotional interactions, spiritual experiences, and repetition in the family that supports the internalization of spiritual values ??in depth in children. The research method used is qualitative with data collection through observation, interviews, and literature studies. The results of the study indicate that a family environment rich in spiritual interactions and emotional guidance can form the foundation of children's spiritual intelligence effectively. The active role of parents in creating meaningful spiritual experiences, providing examples of religious behavior, and building an empathetic learning atmosphere is key to supporting the deep learning process in children. In addition, nutritional factors and stimulation since the womb also contribute to children's readiness to receive and process spiritual learning. This study recommends the application of a deep learning approach in the development of spiritual intelligence in early childhood by strengthening the role of the family as the main environment for spiritual learning. In conclusion, the integration of the deep learning approach with the family environment can improve the quality of spiritual intelligence formation systematically and sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the coping strategies of parental stress in assisting children to study from home after the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through structured interviews with a number of parents in several districts in South Sulawesi who have had the experience of assisting children during learning from home. The data analysis technique uses thematic analysis. The results of the study show that parents who assist their children to study from home use more problem-focused coping, but there are also some who use emotional-focused coping. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of stress management that focuses on solving problems so as to help parents in their children's learning process at home. Abstract

Academic procrastination among university students is influenced by several factors, one of which is self-regulation. This study aims to analyze the relationship between self-regulation and academic procrastination among university students who are members of a choir. Using a quantitative approach with accidental sampling, 123 choir group students were selected as participants. Data were collected using the Self-Regulated Learning Scale and the Procrastination Assessment Scale for Students (PASS), then analyzed with the Pearson product-moment correlation test. Results showed a positive correlation of 0.589 with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant positive relationship between self-regulation and academic procrastination. This finding contradicts previous studies that reported a negative correlation between the two variables. The implication suggests that self-regulation does not always serve as a protective factor against academic procrastination, especially among students involved in choir activities.

Abstract

Ketahanan psikologis merupakan faktor kunci bagi karyawan dalam menghadapi tekanan kerja, terutama bagi Gen Z yang kini mulai mendominasi dunia kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat resiliensi karyawan Gen Z, respons mereka terhadap umpan balik negatif, serta faktor-faktor yang memperkuat resiliensi tersebut. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner melalui Google Form kepada 94 karyawan PT X yang pernah menerima umpan balik negatif. Selain itu, wawancara dilakukan pada 5 karyawan sebagai data pelengkap. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Resilience at Work Scale (RAW). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karyawan Gen Z di PT X memiliki tingkat resiliensi kerja yang baik pada berbagai aspek, dengan kekuatan utama pada kesadaran diri, nilai pribadi, dan pencarian makna dalam pekerjaan. Temuan ini memberikan gambaran mengenai pentingnya penguatan resiliensi dalam menghadapi kritik di lingkungan kerja yang semakin dinamis.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the stress coping strategies of early adult women at the Class IIA Women’s Correctional Facility in Jakarta. A total of 180 incarcerated individuals aged 20–40 years participated in this descriptive quantitative study using purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Indonesian version of the Ways of Coping Questionnaire-Revised (WOC-R), consisting of 66 items across eight coping dimensions. Results showed that the most frequently used coping strategy was Positive Reappraisal (M = 3.28), followed by Planful Problem Solving (M = 3.26) and Confrontive Coping (M = 2.85). A total of 74 participants (41.1%) reported using Confrontive Coping very frequently, indicating an active and direct approach to stress management. Adequate internal consistency was found only in Positive Reappraisal (? = 0.751) and Planful Problem Solving (? = 0.721). These findings suggest that emotion-focused coping—particularly positive reframing—along with problem-solving approaches, are dominant strategies used by incarcerated women to adapt to the stressful prison environment. Abstract

The advance of technology has changed the way individuals, especially Generation Z, manage the boundaries between work and personal life. The concept of Work-Life Integration (WLI) is now widely adopted by the tech-savvy Generation Z who tend to combine work and personal life together. This study aims to explore the level of WLI in Generation Z employees, as well as the demographic factors that might predict it. The study used quantitative methods by distributing questionnaires via Google Form to 93 Generation Z participants who have worked for at least one year. The measurement tool used is the Indonesian adaptation of the Work-Life Boundary Enactment Scale. The level of Work-Life Integration (WLI) of Generation Z employees tends to be medium, with a stronger tendency towards Work-to-Life Integration. No significant differences were found in the level of WLI when evaluated by gender, marital status, number of years working, and job level. Thus, this study provides a preliminary picture of WLI trends in Generation Z while emphasizing the importance of developing flexible work strategies according to the characteristics of this generation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the reading motivation of elementary school-aged children who are active in RPTRA X, West Jakarta. The method used is descriptive quantitative with 35 participants, using five dimensions of Motivations for Reading Questionnaire as the instrument. Mean scores, standard deviations, and group comparisons were analyzed using SPSS 26. The results show that the Reading Curiosity dimension had the highest score, indicating curiosity as the main driver of reading. Conversely, Reading Work Avoidance had the lowest score, indicating a negative perception of reading activities. A significant difference was found in the Social Reasons for Reading dimension based on gender, with girls being more socially motivated to read. These findings highlight the need for engaging literacy approaches to reduce reading avoidance. The study underscores the importance of developing adaptive, interactive, and interest-based community literacy programs, enabling RPTRA to serve as an effective and sustainable literacy space.
