Abstract

Infeksi jamur kulit seperti panu dan kurap masih sering terjadi pada masyarakat Desa Tebedak 2 akibat iklim lembap, kebiasaan higienitas yang kurang optimal, serta minimnya pemanfaatan bahan alam sebagai alternatif penanganan awal. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang penyakit jamur kulit dan melatih keterampilan pembuatan salep anti jamur berbasis ekstrak mengkudu sebagai produk herbal sederhana yang aman dan ekonomis. Metode kegiatan meliputi penyuluhan interaktif mengenai etiologi, faktor risiko, penularan, dan pencegahan infeksi jamur, pelatihan pembuatan salep ekstrak mengkudu melalui demonstrasi dan praktik langsung, serta evaluasi pengetahuan dan keterampilan menggunakan pre-test, post-test, observasi praktik, dan kuesioner. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan yang signifikan, di mana 98% peserta menjawab benar seluruh soal pada post-test, meningkat dari pengetahuan awal yang masih terbatas terutama pada aspek faktor risiko dan PHBS. Peserta juga mampu mengikuti seluruh tahapan pembuatan salep dan menghasilkan 50 pot salep. Respons masyarakat sangat baik, ditandai tingginya antusiasme dan keinginan melanjutkan praktik pembuatan produk herbal secara mandiri. Kegiatan ini menyimpulkan bahwa penyuluhan dan pelatihan pembuatan salep ekstrak mengkudu efektif meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam pencegahan serta penanganan awal infeksi jamur kulit.

Abstract

Desa Tebedak 2 kecamatan Payaraman Kabupaten Ogan Ilir  Sumatera Selatan memiliki potensi pengembangan pangan berbasis kedelai, namun pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai gizi serta keterampilan teknis produksi tempe masih terbatas, sehingga desa belum memiliki produsen tempe lokal. Kondisi ini berimplikasi pada rendahnya pemanfaatan tempe sebagai sumber protein nabati dan hilangnya peluang usaha berbasis pangan fermentasi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai nilai gizi tempe serta melatih keterampilan teknis pembuatan tempe sehat sebagai langkah menuju kemandirian pangan dan pengembangan UMKM desa. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyuluhan, demonstrasi proses produksi tempe menggunakan Rhizopus oligosporus, serta praktik mandiri yang diikuti evaluasi melalui pre–test, post–test, dan kuesioner kepuasan. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan sebesar 33,68% dan penilaian sangat baik dari mayoritas responden (39 dari 43 responden menyatakan materi “baik sekali”). Produk tempe hasil praktik menunjukkan warna putih merata, tekstur padat, dan aroma khas fermentasi, menandakan keberhasilan transfer keterampilan. Peserta menilai kegiatan relevan, aplikatif, dan bermanfaat untuk membuka peluang usaha baru. Dukungan perangkat desa menguatkan rencana pembentukan kelompok usaha “Tempe Sehat Tebedak”. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kapasitas pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat serta memberikan dasar bagi pengembangan ekonomi berbasis pangan lokal.

Abstract

Desa Darunu berada dalam wilayah administratif Kabupaten Minahasa Utara yaitu di Kecamatan Wori dan memiliki potensi wisata alam dengan keberadaan Mangrove. Mengingat lokasi desa berada di pesisir yang berpotensi mengalami bencana tsunami akibat gempa bumi, maka perencanaan jalur evakuasi bencana tsunami serta peningkatan tata sosial masyarakat sadar bencana menjadi urgensi kegiatan ini. Untuk menerapkan sistem jalur evakuasi bencana sehingga desa ini memiliki sistem kesiapsiagaan bencana yang dapat menjadikannya sebagai destinasi wisata yang maju dengan menempatkan masyarakat sebagai pelaku utama dalam proses perencanaan jalur evakuasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah Community Education Method dan Participatory Method yang merupakan pendekatan yang melibatkan masyarakat sambil menghargai kearifan lokal, meningkatkan rasa memiliki terhadap hasil kegiatan, serta mendorong kemandirian dan keberlanjutan kesiapsiagaan bencana. Kegiatan ini dirancang dalam bentuk sosialisasi dan edukasi untuk peningkatan pengetahuan dan perencanaan jalur evakuasi dan dilakukan kurang lebih selama 7 bulan. Dalam kegiatan ini, tim bekerja sama dengan BPBD sebagai pendamping ahli dan mitra sebagai pelaku utama dengan hasil akhir pelaksanaan kegiatan adalah meningkatnya level pemahaman tentang kebencanaan oleh masyarakat serta tersedianya peta jalur evakuasi berupa beserta prosedurnya yang sudah terpasang pada titik yang diperlukan sesuai dengan komunikasi aktif dengan masyarakat dan perangkat desa.

Abstract

This training activity is a community service activity and one part of the Practical Work Lecture carried out by students of the Agrotechnology Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Science and Health, University of Timor. This training aims to increase the understanding and skills of the Melati Farmer Group, Desa Sunsea, Kecamatan Naibeneu, Kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara (TTU) in utilizing the surrounding potential for making liquid and solid organic fertilizer. Organic fertilizer has many benefits, including increasing soil fertility, reducing dependence on chemical fertilizers, and supporting agricultural sustainability. This training activity involved 23 participants consisting of 20 members of the Melati Farmers Group and 3 students and was divided into two stages of activities. The first stage focuses on the practice of making solid organic fertilizer from forage and livestock manure, and continues with the second stage, namely making liquid organic fertilizer using the same raw materials. The results of this activity show an increase in the knowledge and skills of the community, especially the Sunsea Village Melati Farmers Group, and this is realized by applying organic fertilizer to the land of various cultivated plants.

Abstract

Keterbatasan pasokan air terutama pada musim kemarau, menjadi tantangan besar bagi petani di Desa Nepo, Kecamatan Mallusetasi, Kabupaten Barru. Kondisi ini diperparah dengan sistem irigasi manual yang kurang efisien dan menambah beban kerja petani, sehingga berdampak pada menurunnya produktivitas pertanian. Permasalahan tersebut menunjukkan perlunya penerapan teknologi modern yang dapat membantu efisiensi penggunaan air dan mendukung keberlanjutan usaha tani. Program pengabdian ini memperkenalkan dan menerapkan sistem  irigasi tetes berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) serta otomatisasi hidroponik Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) sebagai solusi. Tujuan kegiatan adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kelompok tani To Nepo dalam mengoperasikan sistem pertanian modern berbasis teknologi. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan mencakup survei kebutuhan mitra, penyusunan perangkat, sosialisasi, pelatihan teknis penggunaan irigasi tetes dan hidroponik otomatis, implementasi di lahan mitra, serta evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman petani terkait teknologi IoT, keterampilan dalam mengoperasikan sistem otomatisasi, serta ketertarikan untuk mengadopsi teknologi pada lahan pertanian. Penerapan program ini tidak hanya membantu efisiensi air dan mengurangi beban kerja petani, tetapi juga menjadi langkah awal transformasi menuju pertanian modern yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The Demang Gedi Forest Farmer Group (KTH) in Gedangan Village, Purwodadi District, Purworejo Regency, is a community group engaged in coastal conservation through mangrove planting, mangrove nurseries, and management of the Demang Gedi tourism area. The group faces challenges related to limited product diversification and suboptimal conservation management, particularly in developing productive activities. To address these issues, a community service program introduced mangrove crab farming using a silvofisheries system, supported by training and workshops on sustainable mangrove management. The program was implemented through preparation, technical training, mentoring, and monitoring–evaluation stages. The results show improvements in both production and management. The group, which previously had no crab cages, now owns two box-type crab cages with 400 boxes and has generated an income of IDR 4,500,000 from mangrove crab cultivation. In addition, group management has improved, with regular activities now conducted to manage crab farming. Further improvements in cage management and water quality are needed to increase future harvest yields.

Abstract

In line with the rapid advancement of technology, both in terms of its development and utilization, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Bogor City are required to adapt in order to effectively respond to technological changes that support their business activities. One critical aspect that must be considered is promotion. In the current digital era, promotional strategies need to be aligned with contemporary trends, particularly through the use of social media platforms such as Instagram, which offers significant potential as a promotional medium for MSMEs. This program aims to provide training on optimizing Instagram as a digital marketing tool for MSMEs in Bogor City. Furthermore, the program equips MSME actors with practical skills in content creation and effective account management on Instagram. The method employed in this program involves direct, hands-on training for MSME participants to address their limited understanding of Instagram optimization as a promotional medium. The training covers essential topics, including account creation, content development, and basic social media management strategies. The results of this program indicate that MSMEs in Bogor City are able to establish business-oriented Instagram accounts, produce more structured and engaging content, and implement more effective and sustainable social media management practices. This community service program, delivered in the form of digital marketing training, has contributed to enhancing the capacity of MSMEs, enabling them to remain competitive and sustain their businesses in an increasingly competitive market environment.

Abstract

Bali is one of the largest contributors to waste in Indonesia. One of the major factors driving this issue is the high frequency of religious activities among the Balinese community. TPS 3R NEKAD KEDAS is a waste management facility located in the Buleleng Traditional Village. The greatest amount of waste processed at TPS 3R NEKAD KEDAS consists of organic waste, totaling 416.29 kg per day. Organic waste can be managed by converting it into eco-enzymes, which can be used as liquid fertilizer. The methods used in this community service program included socialization, training, and mentoring. The participants of this activity consisted of 10 KMP members and representatives from 14 banjars in the Buleleng Traditional Village. The purpose of this program was to provide knowledge about organic waste management, the utilization of organic waste generated from religious offerings, and the packaging of fermented eco-enzymes that can be used as liquid fertilizer. The program resulted in successful eco-enzyme production, indicated by a characteristic fermentation odor and the absence of microbial contamination. Participants were also able to harvest and package the eco-enzymes. Based on the evaluation results, there was an increase of 44% in participants' knowledge and attitudes toward the use of eco-enzymes as liquid fertilizer, while participants' skills in producing eco-enzymes increased by 94%.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly influencing various aspects of life, including education. However, high school students' understanding of the basic concepts and uses of AI is still relatively limited. Therefore, the AWARE (Awareness of AI) Community Service Activity (PKM) was held at MAN 1 Garut on May 6, 2025. This activity aims to increase students' awareness and initial understanding of the concepts, applications, and potential of AI in supporting the learning process in the digital era. The objective of this activity is to increase students' awareness and understanding of the basic concepts of artificial intelligence (AI), examples of its applications, and the potential and challenges of utilizing AI technology in the context of secondary education. The activity method uses an educational-participatory approach through an introduction to basic AI concepts, presentation of real-world application examples, and simple demonstrations. The activity was complemented by a question-and-answer session and interactive discussion, and was evaluated through a Likert-scale-based satisfaction survey attended by 59 respondents. The evaluation results showed a very positive response from the activity participants. A total of 52.5% of respondents gave a score of 4 for the relevance of the activity topic, while 51.7% of respondents gave a score of 4 for the aspect of the activity's usefulness. In addition, 25.9% of respondents gave the highest score (5), indicating a very good level of satisfaction with the program implementation. In terms of sustainability, 96.4% of respondents expressed their willingness to continue the collaboration in the next activity. All respondents also assessed that the community service activities carried out could be implemented in the partner environment, thus indicating that the PKM AWARE program is relevant, beneficial, and has the potential for sustainable development. In conclusion, this activity successfully achieved its goal of increasing student awareness and understanding of AI and opening up opportunities for further development through learning modules and workshops for teachers.

Abstract

Kupang is a semi-arid region that faces challenges related to limited access to nutritious food, vulnerability to climate change, and low diversification of animal protein sources. Under these conditions, the development of an adaptive and educational local food security model becomes important. Undana Farm, as an agro-tourism area in dryland conditions, has the potential to be developed not only as a recreational site but also as a learning medium for nutrition-based food education using local resources. The integration of aquaculture into this area is considered strategic for strengthening the promotion of fish consumption and community food education. This activity aimed to develop an integrated aquaculture edu-tourism facility based on a recreational fishing pond at Undana Farm and to improve community understanding of the importance of fish consumption in supporting food security and stunting prevention. The implementation methods included a site survey, stocking tilapia fingerlings as a recreational and educational facility, and socialization on the benefits of fish consumption for visitors and the surrounding community. The activity involved the management of Undana Farm and 30 community participants as target partners. The results showed that Undana Farm has strong potential for the development of aquaculture edu-tourism in dryland areas. Stocking tilapia supported the availability of a fishing pond as both a recreational attraction and an educational medium. The socialization activities increased community participation and strengthened visitors’ understanding of the benefits of fish as a nutritious source of animal protein. The integration of agriculture and aquaculture also added value to the function of Undana Farm as an educational agro-tourism center that supports practical, participatory, and sustainable community learning. Therefore, integrated aquaculture edu-tourism is effective as a medium for fish consumption education and strengthening community food security, and it has the potential to be replicated in other dryland areas.
