Abstract

Background: Conflicts do not only occur in everyday life, but also in romantic relationships. Dissatisfaction, separation, or even death will be the result of conflict in romantic relationships if not addressed early or faced in a positive way. Seeking help from a counselor is one of the beneficial methods for dealing with conflict. However, one obstacle in the assessment process is the unavailability of measuring instruments that can be used by counselors. Objective: This study aims to adapt and validate The Romantic Partner Conflict Scale (RPCS) into Indonesian language and culture. Method: The RPCS adaptation was conducted using the backward translation technique. Evidence validity based on test content using Aiken's V and based on internal structure using CFA was used. The respondents in this study were 644 people. Result: The results of the adaptation of the RPCS into Indonesian language and culture show that the RPCS items (total of 37 items, 2 dropped) can measure each dimension of the RPCS and are easily understood by respondents. The validation results show the availability of validity evidence based on test content and internal structure. Conclusion: The Indonesian version of the RPCS can be used by counselors for assessment purposes or by researchers for research purposes.

Abstract

Background: Individuals with disabilities face various challenges in the workforce, including physical, psychological, and social barriers that hinder full access and participation, leading to anxiety about entering the workforce. Anxiety often arises due to negative thinking. Positive thinking, however, can help individuals manage this anxiety. Objective: This study aims to examine the relationship between positive thinking and anxiety about entering the workforce among individuals with disabilities. Method: This research uses a quantitative approach with purposive sampling, involving 60 participants with disabilities aged 18-40. Data was collected through questionnaires that measure levels of positive thinking and anxiety about the workforce. The gathered data was analyzed using the product-moment correlation method. Result: The findings show a significant negative relationship between positive thinking and anxiety about entering the workforce among individuals with disabilities. Conclusion: The implications of this study can serve as a reference for research on marginalized communities, specifically individuals with disabilities. Abstract

This study explores the characteristics and challenges faced by Generation Z (born 1996-2010) in the workplace, specifically at PT Gramedia Asri Media Yogyakarta. Generation Z, currently aged 15-26, demonstrates a need to gather experience through various positions and prefers collaboration and innovation within a professional environment. This research is a qualitative phenomenological study aimed at identifying the presence of adversity quotient among Generation Z employees at PT Gramedia Asri Media Pakuwon Mall Yogyakarta. The participants consist of three individuals who are employees of Gramedia Pakuwon Mall, as well as three significant others who serve as their supervisors. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with semi-structured questions carried out face-to-face. The results indicate that all three participants possess equal levels of control, recognition, achievement, and endurance in facing workplace situations. Despite encountering complex issues, Participants D, A, and L were able to effectively overcome these challenges, thereby resolving problems and reducing their desire to leave their jobs.

Abstract

Background: Adolescent mental health is a concern because there is an increase in mental problems to suicidal behavior among adolescents. Mental health literacy is one way for adolescents to reduce the negative impact of mental problems that arise. Objective: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of psychoeducation to improve adolescent mental health literacy as a preventive effort to overcome mental health problems in Ternate City. Method: This research method uses a true experimental design research type in the form of a pretest posttest control group design. The respondents obtained in this study were 48 high school students aged 15-18 years. The research instrument used the Mental Health Literacy Scale (MHLS) developed by (O’Connor & Casey, 2015). Data were analyzed using Anova mix design using SPSS. Result: he results showed differences in mental health literacy between the experimental group and the control group. The Experimental Group had a higher mental health literacy score than the experimental group after being given the intervention. The F value was obtained at 29.435 and a significance level of 0.000 (p <0.01). Conclusion: So it can be concluded that psychoeducational interventions are able to improve adolescent mental health literacy and can be used as a preventive effort to reduce mental health problems in Ternate.

Abstract

Background: This research is based on the fact that many parents often feel worried about their child's condition when accompanying the online learning process of children with ADHD. Emotional shocks are also often experienced by parents of ADHD children, such as feelings of resentment, stress, embarrassment, and anger. ADHD. Objective: This study aims to provide an overview of the psychological well-being of mothers with adolescents diagnosed with ADHD. Method: The research employed a descriptive qualitative method using purposive sampling, involving three mothers who met the study criteria. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation. Result: The findings indicate that the psychological well-being of these mothers varies. Most participants demonstrated strong personal growth, as they perceived challenges as opportunities for development. However, their sense of purpose in life tended to be low, primarily due to the difficulties their adolescents faced in managing daily activities, slow progress, and lack of motivation. Factors such as social support, family conditions, and socioeconomic status also played significant roles in determining the mothers' psychological well-being. Conclusion: In conclusion, the psychological well-being of mothers is influenced by their ability to adapt to the challenges of raising adolescents with ADHD, as well as the support and socioeconomic status they have. Adequate social support can enhance their psychological well-being and facilitate the caregiving process for their adolescents with ADHD.

Abstract

Background: Academic stress is a factor that often reduces students' psychological well-being, especially in terms of their emotions and mental balance. Along with the development of technology, social media plays a significant role as a social interaction tool, but its excessive use can worsen the effects of academic stress. Objective: This study aims to identify the effect of academic stress on the psychological well-being of students of SMA Negeri 1 Ayah with the moderation of social media use. Method: This study used a quantitative method with a population of students of SMA Negeri 1 Ayah. The instruments used included an academic stress scale, a social media use scale, and a psychological well-being scale. Results: The study showed that social media use was a significant moderator in the relationship between academic stress and psychological well-being. Conclusion: In the low social media user group, the relationship between academic stress and psychological well-being was relatively weak (β = -0.17, R2 = 0.080) with only 8% of the variation in psychological well-being in this group explained by academic stress. Conversely, in the high social user group, this relationship was much stronger, namely (β = -0.47, R2 = 0.396), indicating that 39.6% of psychological well-being was influenced by academic stress.

Abstract

Background: Fine motor skills play an important role in child development. Lack of parental stimuli and the influence of the social environment during the child's golden age can be factors of developmental delays. Community as a part of society can play a role in fulfilling these needs. Objective: This study aims to explore children's fine motor skills development in the "X" community after implementing playdough intervention. Method: This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with the subjects being five children from the "X" community, aged 6-10 years, and having poor fine motor skills selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data was collected through observation during the intervention and the results of the Frostigg test. The data analysis technique used is a qualitative descriptive method. Result: The results of this study indicate that children's fine motor skills increased after the study using playdough.. Conclusion: Playdough has been proven to help develop children's fine motor skills in the "X" community. Playdough can be used as an easy and inexpensive play media solution to improve children's fine motor skills.

Abstract

Background: Stigma in society regarding gender is something that has various characteristics, both female and male. Likewise in terms of social support, women who are often considered gentle, and men who are often considered more assertive, can provide social support to ABK (Children with Special Needs) students differently. Objective: The purpose of this study was to empirically determine the differences in Peer Social Support for ABK (Children with Special Needs) Students Reviewed from Gender. Method: This study involved the population of Public Elementary Schools in Surabaya that permitted research with accidental sampling techniques, obtaining 114 respondents. Data was collected using a social support questionnaire and biodata to determine the respondents' gender. Result: Based on the results of the hypothesis testing, the Mann-Whitney test score was obtained with a p-value of 0.209, meaning that there was no significant difference between peer social support for ABK (Children with Special Needs) students of female and male gender. Conclusion: The findings of this study are narrowed down from previous studies, namely here focusing on peer social support.

Abstract

Background: Climate change and sustainability challenges compel organizations to incorporate sustainable environmental principles into their operational framework. Green Human Resource Development (Green HRD) is a strategic paradigm that emphasizes training, developing, and empowering personnel to advocate for sustainability initiatives. Objective: This scholarly article provides a comprehensive review of the extant literature related to Green HRD, covering its determinants, key components, and impacts on organizational performance. Result: Green HRD plays a critical role in driving economic prosperity, enhancing social welfare, and promoting environmental sustainability. Internal determinants such as organizational culture and leadership dynamics, alongside external influences including government regulations and advances in green technologies, are critical to the effective implementation of Green HRD. In addition, critical components such as sustainability-focused training, green career development pathways, and employee engagement initiatives yield beneficial effects on operational efficiency, organizational reputation, and environmentally driven innovation. Conclution: Empirical evidence is lacking in assessing the long-term effects and practical application of Green HRD in specific sectors, especially in the context of developing countries. Future research efforts are recommended to concentrate on success metrics, green technology integration, and cross- cultural methodologies to enhance the efficacy of Green HRD in facilitating global sustainability initiatives.

Abstract

Background: The Education House is a learning media in the form of an Educational Game Tools (EGT) which aims to train children in the ability to think logically, increase creativity, and train children's fine motor skills. This game is divided into three kinds, namely games in counting, guessing pictures, and knowing the time by pointing the clock. Objective: to see whether APE is effective in improving the ability to count and recognize time in Aisyiyah Kindergarten students Method: This study used quantitative methods and the research design used was experimental research (one group pretest-posttest design). The research subjects were students of TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 58, TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 6, and TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 47 Surabaya. The data collection technique used in this study was by giving pre-test and post-test questions. Result: after the researchers gave the treatment twice using the EGT "Education House" that the researchers made, the results showed that the subjects experienced an increase in their basic ability to count and recognize time. Conclution: effective EGT can improve numeracy skills and know time in Aisyiyah Kindergarten students.
