Abstract

IMPROVING STATE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL HONORARY TEACHERS CREATIVITY THROUGH PERSONALITY STRENGTHENNING AND ORGANIZATIONAL CLIMATEThe creativity of teachers is one important aspect that determines the success of achieving goal of education that is for the building up the intellectual life of the nation. The study is intended to find out the efforts needed to improve the creativity of teachers through personality and climate of the organization of honorary teachers of SMA Negeri at Cibinong, Bogor District. This research is utilizing correlation methods of research, where the first phase of the research was carried out by using a method of quantitative and the data collected through the deployment of questionnaires, and then analyzed by using regression and supported by the description of the statistics. Population of the research were 174 honorary teachers of SMA negeri at Cibinong district. The sample study as many as 122 respondents were determined by the Taro Yamane formula that using the method of proportional random sampling. The results of the quantitative study revealed that personality which emphasizes the stability of emotions (emotional stability), openness (extroversion), easily agreed (agreeableness), can be relied upon (conscientiousness) and openness to experience may contribute to improve creativity. While organizational climate that emphasizes the responsibility of a member, the structure of the organization, award, standards of performance and working environment can contribute to improve creativity. Based on the findings, it is concluded that the stronger of personality and organizational climate, the higher creativity will be.

Abstract

INCREASING TEACHER INNOVATION THROUGH STRENGTHENING INFORMATION LITERACY AND SELF-EFFICIENCYTeacher innovation is closely related with new knowledge, methods and strategies as well as learning service. Those aspects are very important to support the achievement of national education as well. This study aimed to find out that there was a relationship between teacher innovation increase with information literacy and self-efficacy strength. This research was conducted with a quantitative approach using correlation analysis and SITOREM analysis. The research was carried out in 7 public high schools around Cibinong, Bogor Regency. The population of the study was 178 civil servant teachers. The results of the study as the following conclusions: 1) there was a positive and significant relationship between information literacy and teacher innovation (ry1 = 0.662), 2) there was a positive and significant relationship between self-efficacy and teacher innovation (ry2 = 0.643), 3) there was a positive relationship between information literacy and self-efficacy together with teacher innovation (ry12 = 0.801). The efforts that need to be improved in order to increase teacher innovation are; 1). utilization of information to solve problems, 2) introduction of required information, 3) commitment to goals, 4) creating new ideas in learning, 5) optimizing learning services, 6) developing ICT, 7) improving/renewing ideas in learning.

Abstract

LEARNING EFFECTIVENESS IMPROVEMENT THROUGH ACADEMIC SUPERVISION AND WORK DISCIPLINE STRENGTHENINGThe purpose of this study was to empirically determine  the enhance of teaching effectiveness. Research respondents were permanent teachers of private high schools in Bogor City. The number of samples were 131 teachers who were established by using proportional random sampling technique. The method used was the correlational method. Hypothesis testing was carried out by using parametric statistical analysis in the form of linear regression analysis, correlation analysis, and partial analysis where a significance level of α = 0.01 and α = 0.05. The research came up with three conclusions. Firstly, there was a very significant positive relationship between academic supervision and the teaching effectiveness where the correlation coefficient of ry1 = 0.824. Secondly, there was a very significant positive relationship between work discipline and the teaching effectiveness, where the correlation coefficient of ry2 = 0.66. Thirdly, there was a very significant positive relationship between academic supervision and work discipline together with the teaching effectiveness, where the correlation coefficient of ry.12 = 0.84. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the teaching effectiveness can be enhanced by strengthening academic supervision and work discipline. Results of the SITOREM analysis indicated that several priority indicators need to be improved, such as; assessment of work results, problems solving assistance, self-control during working, teachers’ willingness to carry out obligations, sucessfullness in conducting learning activity, and successfulness in managing learning activity. Based on the results above, it can be concluded that the teaching effectiveness can be enhanced by strengthening academic supervision and work discipline.

Abstract

STRENGTHENING LEARNING EFFECTIVENESS THROUGH SELF EFFICATION AND SUPERVISION OF SCHOOL HEADSThis study aimed to find the efforts to increase the effectiveness of learning through a study of its relationship with self-efficacy and principal supervision. The population of this study was 163 civil servant teachers, with a total sample of 116 teachers. It was determined by using the Slovin formula with an error tolerance of 5%. The data was collected by using an instrument in the form of a questionnaire and analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that there were three positive and significant relationships. Firstly, there was a positive and significant relationship between self-efficacy and the learning effectiveness of PNS teachers with a correlation coefficient value of 0.536. Secondly, there was a positive and significant relationship between principal supervision and learning effectiveness with a correlation coefficient value of 0.519. Thirdly, there was a positive and significant relationship between self-efficacy and principal supervision together with learning effectiveness with a correlation coefficient value of 0.616.

Abstract

IMPROVING TEACHER CREATIVITY THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF SERVANT LEADERSHIP AND SELF EFFICATIONTeacher creativity is the teacher's ability to create new things in teaching so that they have variations in teaching that driving students to be more active and creative. In essence, if teaching is carried out properly, it can be said to be creative. The key to the success of creative development lies in teaching creatively and efficiently in conducive interactions. This is not easy and requires expertise and creativity in learning activities to achieve what is expected. This study aims to point out efforts to increase teacher creativity through an examination of the relationship between research variables, namely the relationship between servant leadership and teacher creativity, the relationship between self-efficacy and teacher creativity, the relationship of both servant leadership and self-efficacy with teacher creativity. The study was conducted using correlational statistical methods to determine whether other variables, namely servant leadership and self-efficacy have a positive relationship with teacher creativity. The research was conducted to the permanent teachers of the SMP Foundation throughout Cigudeg District, Bogor Regency with a population of 267 and a sample of 159 teachers. The results showed that there was a very strong and very significant positive relationship between servant leadership and teacher creativity with a correlation coefficient ρyx1 = 0.983; there is a very strong and very significant positive relationship between self-efficacy and teacher creativity with a correlation coefficient ρyx2 = 0.980, and there is a very strong and very significant positive relationship both servant leadership and self-efficacy together with teacher creativity with the correlation coefficient ρyx3 = 0.989. This evidence shows that teacher creativity can be increased through servant leadership and  self-efficacy.

Abstract

THE EFFECTIVENESS OF DISTANCE LEARNING ASSESSMENT OF MATHEMATICS LEARNING RESULTS IN THE ERA OF COVID-19The purpose of this study was to analyze the Effectiveness of Distance Learning Assessment of Mathematics Learning Outcomes for Grade V Elementary School Kukutu 1 Bogor City in the Covid-19 Era. Data collection in this study was carried out by conducting observations, interviews and also documentation to support research. The results showed that the effectiveness of distance learning assessment consumed more effort by giving assignments, quizzes, games and paying attention to the attitudes of the  students. The obstacles experienced by the teachers during conducting assessments were  scoring the accumulated grades and the limitations of face-to-face teaching and learning activities taking place. The solution to overcome these obstacles were by sending back the learning material that had been taught, and sending daily assignments that must be solved by the students. Each student got different developments during distance learning, experiences of signal problems and lacksof  facilities for learning. However, in every obstacle, each student conducted his  own solution to get out of these obstacles so that students were able to continue following the learning process

Abstract

THE IMPROVEMENT OF ORGANIZATIONAL CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOR (OCB) BY MEANS OF ADVERSITY QUOTIENT (AQ) AND SERVANT LEADERSHIP OF VOCATIONAL SCHOOL TEACHERS WITH PNS STATUS IN KOTA BOGORThe aim of this research was to explain the increase of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) by means of Adversity Quotient (AQ) and Servant Leadership. The research was an empirical study using a correlational approach and SITOREM analysis. The research was conducted in several vocational school Bogor by taking teachers with civil servants PNS status. The population in this study was 257 with a sample of 157 respondents that determined by using  Proportional Random Sampling technique. The Hypothesis was tested by using parametric statistical analysis in the form of simple linear regression and multiple analysis, simple and multiple correlation analysis as well as partial correlation analysis where the significance levels a = 0.01 and a = 0.05. The research came up with three conclusions.  Firstly, there was a significant positive relationship between Adversity Quotient and Organizational Citizenship Behavior where its correlation coefficient ry1 = 0.636 and the coefficient of determination ry12 = 0.7172. Secondly, there was a significant positive relationship between Servant Leadership and Organizational Citizenship Behavior where its correlation coefficient ry2= 0.069 and coefficient of determination ry22 = 0.0257. Thirdly, there was a significant positive relationship between Adversity Quotient and Servant Leadership with Organizational Citizenship Behavior where its correlation coefficient ry.12 = 0.4137 and the coefficient of determination ry.122 = 0.7218. It means, in order to improve the Organizational Citizenship Behavior, teachers have to strengthening their Adversity Quotient, and schools’ principal need to have a better Servant Leadership either in group or individually.

Abstract

IMPROVING TEACHER JOB SATISFACTION BY STRENGTHENING TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP AND ORGANIZATIONAL CULTUREThis study is intended to empirically determining teacher job satisfaction by strengthening transformational leadership and organizational culture of honorary teachers of private vocational schools at Cibungbulang District. The number of research sample was 158 teachers taken using proportional random sampling techniques. The utilizing method was the correlational method. Hypothesis testing was carried out using parametric statistical analysis in the form of simple and multiple linear regression analysis, simple and multiple correlation analysis with significance levels α = 0.01 and α = 0.05. This research resulted in four conclusions. Firstly, there was a positive and significant relationship between transformational leadership and teacher job satisfaction where the correlation coefficient ry1 = 0.588, the coefficient of determination Ry12 = 0.3461.  Secondly, there was a positive and significant relationship between organizational culture and teacher job satisfaction where the correlation coefficient ry2 = 0.626, the coefficient of determination Ry22 = 0.3914. Thirdly, there was a positive and significant relationship between both transformational leadership and organizational culture with teacher job satisfaction where the correlation coefficient ry.12 = 0.71 and the coefficient of determination Ry.122 = 0.504. Fourthly, the job satisfaction could be improved by strengthening transformational leadership and organizational culture, both separately or altogether. It can be concluded that teacher job satisfaction can be improved by strengthening transformational leadership and organizational culture.

Abstract

INCREASING TEACHER CREATIVITY THROUGH ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVATION AND ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURETeachers are required to be creative in developing learning activity. This study aimed to find out how teacher creativity has strongly relationships with the achievement motivation and organizational culture. This study was conducted on 134 samples of foundation permanent teachers (GTY) of Integrated Islamic Elementary Schools. They were selected proportionally by using proportional random sampling techniques spread across 9 schools in Tanah Sareal District, Bogor City with a significance level of 0.05. This research was conducted using quantitative methods with correlation techniques. The findings of this study, namely: (1) There was a positive relationship with the level of a strong relationship on achievement motivation (X1) with teacher creativity (Y) with a correlation coefficient (ry1) of 0.7836 and a regression equation Ŷ = 32.539 + 0.730X1; (2) There was a positive relationship with the level of strong relationship in organizational culture (X2) with teacher creativity (Y) with a correlation coefficient (ry2) of 0.6100 and a regression equation Ŷ = 51.915+ 0.520X2; and (3) There was a positive relationship with the level a very strong of relationship in achievement motivation (X1) and organizational culture (X2) together with teacher creativity (Y) with a correlation coefficient (ry12) of 0.8232 and a regression equation Ŷ = 14.787 + 0.594X1 + 0,248X2. Based on these findings, teacher creativity can be enhanced by increasing teacher achievement motivation and school organizational culture as well.

Abstract

INTERNET BASED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT MODEL TO IMPROVE SCHOOL LEARNING TEAMThe tendency of the fact where the teachers do not need to learn or do not want to improve professional competence is a reflection of the opposite of team learning. Schools need to improve their performance to achieve maximum results. This study aimed to analyze an Internet-Based Professional Development model that can improve the ability of kindergarten teachers to carry out professional development independently and build team learning as well. Internet-Based Professional Development is an alternative effort in overcoming the improvement of kindergarten teachers' ability to organize Professional Development as well as team-learning. Limited trial research was conducted at Smartskul Preschool Kindergarten with 5 teachers. Extensive trials were carried out at TKI Al-Hamidiyah Depok with 25 teachers, and at TKIT Aliya Bogor with 13 teachers. The method of research used was research and model development (Research Professional Development / R D). Each trial carried out three times actions in limited trials and two actions in extensive trials at each school. In this study, the data analysis used was qualitative, quantitative, and formative. To measure the validity, this research used non-test and expert judgment. The Internet-Based Professional Development model consisted of input, process, and output. The input consisted of the Internet-Based Professional Development module, and kindergarten teachers and principals. The process consisted of planning, implementing monitoring, as well as evaluation reflection. The output of the Internet-Based Professional Development model was able to improve the ability of kindergarten teachers in organizing Internet-Based Professional Development as well as being able to build team learning.
