Abstract

This study aimed to analyze and determine the success of the government program in the community's attitudes toward the relocation of settlements along the Karang Mumus River in Pelita Village, Samarinda City. To obtain accurate answers, this study focused on the cognitive, affective, and conative components of community attitudes toward the impact of the relocation of settlements along the Karang Mumus River in Pelita Village, Samarinda City. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach, aiming to describe and explain the phenomena in depth. The interactive model of Miles and Huberman (1994) was used for data analysis. The data analysis revealed that the community's attitudes toward the relocation were cognitively accepting all government regulations regarding the relocation of their settlements (professional) and taking responsibility for their own actions. The community's affective attitudes were characterized by feelings of sadness and disappointment, as well as joy. The sadness stemmed from leaving a place filled with memories and a place where they could live comfortably. The disappointment stemmed from not receiving adequate financial assistance from the government for the building they occupied. In terms of community attitudes, feelings of sadness, disappointment, and happiness regarding the relocation program implemented by the Samarinda City government are limited to feelings regarding property rights or housing, not concrete actions. This is evident in the success of the relocation program in Pelita Village, located in neighborhood units (RT) 41, 42, and 43.

Abstract

The 2024 General Election in Indonesia serves as a critical momentum to assess the extent to which political parties contribute to the realization of substantive democracy. In the political reality, political parties as the main pillars of democracy function not only as institutions for political recruitment but also as agents of political education, interest aggregation, and the strengthening of public representation. However, electoral practices are often marked by pragmatism, money politics, and internal party oligarchy, which create a gap between the ideal expectations of democracy and the realities on the ground. This study aims to analyze the role of political parties in realizing democracy during the 2024 elections by examining how parties perform their democratic functions and the extent of their influence on the quality of democracy. The research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, utilizing literature review, secondary data analysis, and a critical examination of political regulations and practices in Indonesia. The findings reveal that political parties still face serious challenges in achieving an ideal democratic system, particularly due to weak cadre development, elite domination, and the lack of transparency in party governance. Nevertheless, there are opportunities for political parties to strengthen democracy through internal party reform, the enhancement of public political education, and consistent adherence to the principles of justice and political participation. The study concludes that the role of political parties in the 2024 elections is crucial in determining the direction of democratic consolidation in Indonesia. Therefore, it is recommended that political parties strengthen their cadre systems, improve accountability, and avoid transactional political practices in order to promote a healthier and more equitable democracy.

The interplay between culture and religion within the community is increasingly complex and mutually influential. The emergence of YouTube as a media platform has become a strategic choice to preserve these cultural uniquenesses while simultaneously fostering popular culture. Abstract

This study explores the role of sustainable ecotourism in empowering local communities in Indonesia, focusing on the economic and environmental benefits it offers. As Indonesia is home to diverse natural resources and cultural heritage, ecotourism has emerged as a promising sector to support both environmental conservation and community development. The primary objective of this research is to identify strategies for enhancing the impact of ecotourism projects, ensuring they provide economic opportunities for local populations while promoting sustainability. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing case studies from various ecotourism projects across Indonesia, where in-depth interviews and focus group discussions were conducted with key stakeholders, including local residents, ecotourism operators, and government officials. The study also involves document analysis of relevant policies and reports to understand the regulatory framework surrounding ecotourism. The findings reveal that community participation in ecotourism planning and management is essential for both economic empowerment and effective conservation. However, challenges such as environmental degradation, over-tourism, and inequitable benefit distribution persist. The research highlights the need for stronger regulatory oversight, fair profit-sharing mechanisms, and policy support to address these issues. Ultimately, this study underscores the potential of sustainable ecotourism as a tool for both economic development and environmental protection, provided that collaborative efforts among local communities, government, and private stakeholders are in place.

Abstract

The concept of heaven plays a pivotal role within religiosity, acting as both a metaphysical endpoint and an ethical guide, profoundly influencing personal beliefs and societal structures. This study aims to examine the interplay between belief in heaven and its influence on moral decision-making, psychological well-being, and economic productivity across diverse contexts. Employing a systematic literature review, this research involved a bibliometric analysis of 427 publications from Scopus (2005–2024) using VOSviewer to identify clusters and emerging trends. Through co-occurrence mapping, the study isolated five primary research clusters, including moral behavior, psychological impacts, cultural influences, economic implications, and demographic variables. Key findings reveal that belief in heaven correlates with both conservative moral perspectives and increased psychological resilience, with notable demographic differences. Economic implications suggest that afterlife beliefs support values like honesty and thrift, indirectly boosting economic productivity. The study underscores the distinct role of heaven as an isolated concept within religiosity, contributing novel insights into the broader societal impact of afterlife beliefs. Findings have practical implications for policymakers, religious leaders, and educators in leveraging heaven’s moral framework to foster pro-social behavior and societal well-being across culturally diverse populations.

Abstract

ESG and transparency of sustainability reporting are increasingly becoming major concerns in the business world, as investor awareness of non-financial aspects in investment decision making increases. Good corporate governance is believed to be able to strengthen credibility and increase public trust. Corporate reputation is considered to have an important role in shaping investor perceptions of the company's long-term prospects. The study aims to analyze the effect of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) implementation, transparency of sustainability reporting, and corporate governance on stock value, with corporate reputation as a mediating variable in manufacturing companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Associative quantitative research approach. The population consists of manufacturing companies listed on the IDX in 2022–2024 totaling 222 companies. The sample size is 84 companies and the number of data is 252 data. The sample collection technique uses purposive sampling. Secondary data sources are annual reports, sustainability reports, Bloomberg/RTI, IDX, and company websites. Data analysis tools use SEM-Amos and Sobel Test. This study indicates that improving the quality of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) implementation has a significant impact on strengthening corporate reputation. Transparency in sustainability reporting also contributes positively by building trust from the public and investors. The implementation of effective corporate governance strengthens the image and supports business continuity. Furthermore, the quality of ESG and transparency of sustainability reports also support the increase in stock value through positive investor perceptions. In this process, the company's reputation functions as a mediator between ESG implementation, reporting transparency, and governance with stock value. A strong reputation increases investor confidence, thus driving an increase in the company's stock value.
