Abstract

This study aims to analyse the critical factors causing delays in the Provincial Road Grant Program (PHJD) road construction project in North Toraja Regency, particularly on the Pangala-Baruppu-West Sulawesi road segment, using the Relative Importance Index (RII) method. Data were collected through questionnaires completed by 34 respondents directly involved in the project, including contractors, supervising consultants, and other related parties. The results of the study show that the most significant cause of delays in the PHJD road construction project was material testing delays, with the highest RII score of 0.888. Other key contributors were material delivery issues, ineffective coordination, and unpredictable weather. Financial issues had a medium impact, while factors like low labor productivity and lack of GS responsibility were less influential. Design changes and land acquisition were the least significant. The findings emphasize the need for improved coordination, efficient material handling, and better preparation for environmental challenges to minimize delays and enhance project performance.

Abstract

The construction of substations is one of the most crucial electrical projects in the development of infrastructure and economic growth, to ensure a stable, reliable, and equitable supply of electricity. Electrical construction projects inherently present significant occupational safety and accident risks, ranging from exposure to high voltage to incidents involving heavy equipment. In Indonesia, the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Management System known as SMK3 is mandated by Government Regulation (PP) No. 50 of 2012, and serves as the national framework for mitigating these dangers. The goal for implementing this system is to prevent and minimize human and financial losses, including lost work hours and declining productivity, thereby supporting more effective and efficient operational performance. In this study, the implementation of SMK3 on the 150 kV Raha Substation project was evaluated using a descriptive qualitative method with employing data collection instruments that included interviews, field observations, and a checklist of questions based on the audit criteria elements outlined in applicable regulations. The implementation of SMK3, based on 166 audit criteria in the Raha 150 kV Substation construction project, as per PP No. 50 of 2012, achieved a compliance rate of 92.17% (153 criteria compliant and 13 criteria non-compliant), categorized as satisfactory category. From the analysis of respondent interviews and field observations, it was found that the main factors causing obstacles to the optimal implementation of OSH in general are low employee understanding, budget constraints, lack of standardization among subcontractors, and disparities in employee competencies.

Abstract

This study proposes a community-based disaster mitigation model to enhance public participation in disaster risk reduction efforts in Majene Regency, Indonesia. The regency is highly vulnerable to natural hazards such as floods, landslides, earthquakes, and fires. The research aims to examine the current state of community participation in disaster mitigation and identify factors that hinder or support public involvement. The study employs a qualitative approach, focusing on the perceptions, motivations, and actions of research subjects within their natural context. Data is collected through observation, interviews, focus group discussions, and documentation, with validity ensured through triangulation. The proposed model consists of eight stages: (1) Training of Trainers for Regency-level Facilitators, (2) Training of Trainers for Village/Sub-district Facilitators, (3) Formation of Disaster Mitigation Communities, (4) Building community cohesiveness, (5) Participatory risk assessment, (6) Participatory action planning, (7) Program implementation, and (8) Participatory evaluation. The model emphasizes the central role of the community in all stages of disaster mitigation. It seeks to empower local communities to leverage their resources and knowledge in reducing risks. The study provides recommendations for strengthening participation, including reinforcing regulations, initiating pilot projects, allocating budget for infrastructure, and building local leaders' capacity. By adopting a community-centric approach, the model aims to cultivate a culture of disaster awareness and resilience in Majene Regency. It seeks to empower communities to become active agents in risk reduction, ultimately contributing to a safer and more sustainable future.

Abstract

The rapid development of the digital world and advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology have presented significant challenges for companies globally. To survive and thrive in the digital era, organizations must implement effective change management strategies. This study employs a qualitative approach to explore the change management strategies that can be applied to address the challenges of digital business and the evolution of AI. The research method includes in-depth interviews and case studies of several companies that have successfully implemented change management strategies in the context of digital transformation and AI integration. Data obtained from interviews with company leaders and technology experts were analyzed thematically to identify patterns and best practices in managing changes related to technological developments. The findings suggest that effective strategies include visionary leadership, skills training for employees, and the creation of a collaborative ecosystem between humans and technology. Companies that successfully manage these changes can leverage digital technologies and AI to enhance efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness. Conversely, companies that fail to adapt to these changes risk falling behind in business competition. Therefore, this research emphasizes the importance of inclusive and sustainable change management in facing technological challenges in the business world.

Abstract

This research is reviewed from the waste problem has become a crucial issue in various big cities in Indonesia, especially in Makassar City. Seeing the condition of Makassar City which has a vision to become a Smart City but the reality that occurs in the community in general is not accustomed to sorting household waste based on its type (organic, inorganic, B3). Most of the waste is mixed and directly thrown in the trash, this makes the recycling process very difficult, many waste banks that have been formed are no longer active due to lack of assistance, weak management systems and no adequate technological support, there is no integrated digital system starting from collection, recording and reporting of waste volume so that waste bank transactions are still done manually so that they are vulnerable to data loss. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the transformation of waste banks through digitalization technology to improve the economy of the community in Makassar City. The research method used is qualitative research using a phenomenological approach that aims to analyze the transformation of waste banks through digitalization technology to improve the economy of the community in Makassar City. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The technical analysis of research data is based on the theory of Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions.

Abstract

In recent decades, sustainability has become a central concern in global business, with firms increasingly expected to disclose their social and environmental accountability through sustainability reports. These reports function not only as communication tools for stakeholders but also as indicators of transparency and corporate responsibility. The quality of sustainability reporting is closely influenced by corporate governance mechanisms, particularly CEO characteristics and board diversity. This paper aims to systematically review the literature on how these governance attributes shape sustainability disclosure based on 91 relevant articles retrieved from the Scopus database using keywords such as “CEO characteristic,” “board diversity,” and “sustainability report.” Articles were screened through inclusion and exclusion criteria, followed by bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer to identify linkages among research themes. The findings reveal a significant increase in academic attention to this topic, with Indonesia contributing substantially to the global discourse. The results indicate that CEO characteristics such as age, gender, tenure, human capital (education, international exposure), and behavioral factors. Similarly, board diversity, reflected in gender representation, professional expertise, educational background, and independence, strengthens oversight and enhances report credibility. This review concludes that CEO characteristics and board diversity are critical drivers of sustainability report quality, reinforcing corporate legitimacy and stakeholder trust. Future research is recommended to explore the dynamic interaction between CEO attributes and board composition, the cross-country variations of these effects, and the role of CEO social networks as an external governance mechanism. Such studies will deepen theoretical understanding and provide practical guidance for firms and policymakers seeking to improve sustainability accountability.
