Abstract

The prevalence of infectious diseases in Bandung Regency is still very high, in 2020 there were 30,954 cases of diarrhea treated for all ages or 38.06% of the diarrhea discovery target in Bandung Regency. The environmental factor of improper handling of household waste affects 83.3% of the prevalence of diarrhea. Seventy-nine percent of household waste is infectious Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and is a matter of great concern. Handling of infectious HHW by implementing Clean and Healthy Living Behavior behavior in Bojongsoang Village, Bandung Regency is currently not optimal, so it is hoped that the Bandung Poltekkes Healthy Village Development Program (PPDS) can overcome this problem. The method implemented is to determine the generation of HHW generated by the community so that its impact can be determined using the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) approach. The impact of  HHW in Bojongsoang Village, Bandung Regency will be resolved through community empowerment using workshops, training and mentoring methods on handling HHW. The implementation of recycling and pyrolysis technology on HHW generated will turn HHW into non-HHW that has more economic value. The results of the activity showed that the generation of HHW obtained at the community service location was 0.010 kg / person / day or about 5.1% of the proportion of domestic waste. The average score of respondents before counseling stages 1 and 2 was 66.03 and 68.73, the score after counseling increased to 77.9 with an interval of 10.1. The results of the training for residents, there was an increase in residents' skills related to sorting, packaging and processing of HHW, from 70 increased to 85 with an interval of 15. The location of the waste bank establishment has been determined based on 4 alternative locations given. The land used in the establishment of the Waste Bank in this PPDS activity was donated by the community from RW.07 Bojong Soang Village, Bandung Regency. The partner group has formed the management of the Bojong Soang Garbage Bank which is a PPDS fostered village. Efforts to apply science and technology in the form of Pyrolysis equipment have been installed in the Bojong Soang Waste Bank, and currently a waste bank has been established in Bojong Soang Village, Bandung Regency.

Abstract

The era that is now developing is the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 which has a rapid increase in technological development. Information technology is also developing rapidly, especially in the health aspect so that it can improve the quality of existing health services. Health services that have high complexity in implementation can be facilitated by the use of management information systems. The implemented management information system can assist health facilities in making fast, efficient, effective and appropriate decisions. The type of research chosen was a descriptive qualitative approach with the aim of knowing the background, challenges, and obstacles in implementing a clinical management information system at the Firdaus 24-hour primary clinic. The data collection method is to conduct observations and interviews with several subjects. Subjects in this study included clinic leaders, programmers, registration admins, service doctors, pharmacists, and cashiers. The results are vision and mission set by the clinic will be a point that must be considered by the clinic and the developer's IT staff from the SIM Clinic. This will make it easier for both parties to develop and implement a Clinical SIM. Based on the implementation component of the Clinical MIS, it was found that human resources acting as IT staff were still minimal in managing and developing Clinical MIS. There has been no training or socialization regarding the features of the Clinical SIM which have undergone development. The facilities and infrastructure in the form of SOPs/regulations, hardware and network have been maximized. However, the software is still not optimal because it is still using the old software version. The Clinic SIM cannot yet be bridging with the SIM owned by BPJS. And have not implemented a billing system on the cashier unit. The conclusion is application of the Clinical SIM at the Firdaus 24-hour Primary Clinic is already good but requires new development to optimize the existing Clinical SIM.

Abstract

A category of people who are susceptible to COVID-19 infection is pregnant women. The safety of the mother and fetus can be determined in large part by how prepared pregnant women are to give birth. Pregnant women who are mentally and physically prepared for childbirth can have a healthy delivery that includes the removal of the baby, placenta, and membranes. The purpose of this study is to investigate how prepared expectant mothers felt for childbirth during the COVID-19 epidemic. This study employs a qualitative methodology and phenomenology. In this study, 11 informants participated. Face-to-face interviews and semi-structured video were employed in the data collection process. According to the study's findings, there were five key elements in pregnant women's preparedness for childbirth during the COVID-19 pandemic: 1) worry about COVID-19 exposure, 2) keeping healthy throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, 3) adhering to our ancestors' culture, 4) preparing for a safe and comfortable delivery, and 5) receiving the best medical facility services. Pregnant women must maintain their health and carefully arrange their deliveries. Health facilities are crucial in assisting expectant mothers with labor preparation, particularly during the pandemic. During the COVID-19 pandemic, telehealth may be employed as a substitute method of reaching pregnant women.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop music therapy using a BmT device as a 'supplement” media for patients with neurological disorders. there are 2 (two) methods of music therapy in the namely: 1). In active music therapy, the patient is invited to sing, learn to use musical instruments, imitate notes, and even compose short songs. 2). Passive music therapy, this is music therapy that is cheap, easy and effective. The patient has to listen to and experience a certain type of music that is tailored to the problem, where music therapy can reduce pain, relax the body and mind, and adjust other benefits to the content of the music. Researchers have performed music therapy in patients with neurological disorders using passive music therapy methods. This was done by creating a music therapy tool named Box musik Terapi (BmT). The most important aspect in carrying out music therapy with BmT is that the choice of music type must be appropriate for the patient's needs. The method used by researchers to conduct their research was a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent design. This method was performed by providing a pre-test and post-test on patients with nervous disorders. The expected benefit of music therapy is that it can realize the function of music therapy through the BmT tool for patients with neurological disorders, so that the target achieved is that patients can overcome their neurological disorders.

Abstract

Anxiety often accompanies the clinical symptoms of hypertension in patients. Mindfulness stands as a non-pharmacological nursing approach aimed at lowering both blood pressure and anxiety levels. This study aimed to evaluate how effective mindfulness is in lowering blood pressure and reducing anxiety among hypertensive patients. The study employed a case study design with the sample size determined through G*Power analysis. Eight participants were purposively selected for the study. All participants were allocated to a single treatment group. Mindfulness sessions were conducted over eight sessions, with blood pressure measurements taken using a digital sphygmomanometer and anxiety levels assessed using the Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (Zung-SARS) both before and after the intervention. The study found a significant mean difference in systolic blood pressure (8.25, SD=0.590) mmHg, diastolic blood pressure (4.38, SD=0.962) mmHg, and anxiety levels (48.5, SD=3.63) before and after the intervention. Mindfulness demonstrated statistical significance in reducing both systolic (14(7), p0.001, effect size=4.94) and diastolic (4.55(7), p0.05, effect size=1.61) blood pressure, as well as anxiety levels (25.5(7), p0.001, effect size=8.92). Mindfulness has a positive impact on reducing blood pressure and anxiety in the adult group of patients with hypertension. The application of mindfulness in hypertension management contributes to improving the quality of life of patients. Collaborative efforts between medical personnel and patients need to be encouraged to achieve the best results in hypertension management. Keywords: mindfulness, hypertension, anxiety, adult patient.

Abstract

Teenage pregnancy is a pregnancy that occurs when a teenager is 20 years old. Women who become pregnant at the age of 15-19 years have a greater risk of suffering complications from pregnancy and childbirth. Teenage pregnancy can have an impact on the future of the teenager herself, the child she is carrying, and her family. Apart from that, the impacts that arise due to early pregnancy are not only caused by habits, peers, and the teenager's environment but are also caused by the teenager's own knowledge. The research objective is to determine the correlated factors with teenage pregnancy in the working area of the Gadingrejo Public Health Center in Pringsewu. This research used a cross-sectional design with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. The number of samples used was 287 female teenage respondents. Test the analysis using the Chi-Square test. The results of the analysis show that all factors are significantly correlate to teenage pregnancy. Namely, there is a correlation between knowledge and teenage pregnancy (p=0.031), there is a correlation between the role of parents and teenage pregnancy (p=0.002), there is a correlation between attitudes and teenage pregnancy (p=0.041) and there is a not correlation between the role of peers and teenage pregnancy at the work area of Gadingrejo Public Health Center in Pringsewu (p=0.053). It is expected that health care workers can prioritize health promotion in schools (middle and high schools) to increase teenagers' knowledge about the impact of teenage pregnancy, or can choose cadres/persons responsible for teenagers reproductive health in each school.

Abstract

The lungs are an important human organ in the human body, especially in the respiratory system. Another function of the lungs is to maintain stable body temperature, protect the body from dangerous substances, the nose is the sense of smell, but sometimes the lungs will experience conditions where they do not function normally. Chest x-ray images are the most well-known clinical method for the diagnosis of lung diseases. However, diagnosing lung diseases from chest x-ray images is a challenging task even for radiologists. This research proposes a system that can be used for comparative analysis of lung disease by applying the Convolutional Neural Network and Support Vector Machine methods. CNN is a method in the field of object recognition that has special layers, namely convolution layers and pooling layers which enable a good feature learning process. SVM is a comparative analysis method that relies on results from statistical learning theory to guarantee generalization performance. In this research there are 2 main processes, namely preprocessing and comparative analysis. There are 3 classes of disease for comparative analysis, namely Covid-19 disease, Tuberculosis disease, Pneumonia disease, and Normal disease. In this study, a comparison was also carried out between the classification carried out by CNN and SVM. The research data uses a chest X-ray image dataset. This research produces the best algorithm that is implemented to classify lung diseases from chest x-ray images.
