Abstract

ABSTRACTThe success of clinical education is influenced by many factors, one of which is the clinical supervisor. Clinical supervisors have an important role during the student education process as teachers, facilitators, assessors, and as role models. All of these roles contribute to helping students achieve competence in both hard skills and soft skills to be ready to become professional nurses. This literature review aims to further examine the role of clinical supervisors in nursing education for nursing students. This literature review is a literature study by searching using keywords: (role AND clinical AND supervisor AND clinical AND education AND nurse) ALL (role AND clinical AND supervisor AND clinical AND education AND nurse) in the database: Pubmed (37), Science Direct (135), Scopus (252), and Google Scholar (2) articles. Then the articles were selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria and 7 articles were included in the PRISMA chart and Extraction Table. There were 7 articles that met the criteria and were extracted, some of the clinical supervisor roles found included teaching, utilizing literature from various sources, as a facilitator, encouraging critical thinking, confidence, developing skills in decision making, solving problems, providing support or motivation and appreciation, monitoring or assessing, therapeutic communication, building trusting relationships and being a role model.

Abstract

Low adherence to TB medication can also lead to the development of drug resistance, making treatment more challenging. There is a need for a specific approach to TB patients to enhance motivation in anti-tuberculosis treatment, including the innovation of providing motivational interviewing (MI). This study aims to determine the impact of MI on the treatment adherence of tuberculosis patients as indicated by the BTA test. The research method used a quasi-experimental design with a control group. The population consisted of 60 respondents using consecutive sampling techniques, divided into 30 experimental groups and 30 control groups. Descriptive analysis was used to depict the deviation in the percentage of gender, age, and education, while the difference test employed the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The results indicated that both the experimental and control groups consisted mostly of males, with 16 (53.3%) and 17 (56.7%), respectively, and individuals over 41 years of age, with 23 (76.7%) and 21 (70%), respectively. Meanwhile, the difference test showed that the treatment group had a p-value of 0.000, indicating a significant difference in treatment adherence before and after the intervention. Discussion: MI communication can increase clients' motivation to engage in positive behavior’s, such as adhering to treatment, which can lead to negative BTA test results. Conclusion: This intervention can be recommended as an additional approach to improving treatment adherence in tuberculosis patients.

Abstract

Introduction: The government ratifies and establishes the Healthcare and Social Security Agency that manages health insurance for all people in Indonesia. However, this agency, through the National Health Insurance program, can still not pay all claims submitted by hospitals. Several claims were rejected because the claimant did not meet the requirements for the benefits covered. This research analyzes national health insurance claims' constraints to reduce unworthy claims at Undata Hospital, Central Sulawesi Province. Method: This research is a Constraint Analysis with an analytical observational method and a cross-sectional approach where the researcher wants to identify constraints in each BPJS claim flow process, which consists of verification, data coding process, and file entry process at the National Health Insurance Unit of Undata Hospital, Central Sulawesi Province. This research was conducted from November 2020 to September 2021. There were 17 subjects in this study. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique. Results: The cause of the constraint in the BPJS Health verification claim process at Undata Hospital is that the health service verification process was not carried out before being it to Agency. The cause of the constraint in coding BPJS Health claim files at Undata Hospital is that, based on knowledge constraints, it is known that there is no training for coders regarding the coding process. Conclusion: Implementing the BPJS Health claim procedure at Undata Regional Hospital, Central Sulawesi Province, still needs improvement because the existing SOP still lacks a detailed explanation of the stages of the existing claim procedure. Keywords: Constraints, Health Guarantee, Claims

Abstract

Fetal movement is an indicator of fetal well-being that can be monitored independently by pregnant women. Counting fetal movements affects the attention and maternal-fetal attachment which has an impact on health practices and the health of the baby. The problem is that pregnant women don't care about the importance of counting fetal movements and in practice counting they often forget or fall asleep before getting ten counts. Objective: to analyze the experiences and needs of independent fetal well-being monitoring devices by pregnant women that can stimulate maternal-fetal attachment. Methods: In-depth interviews were conducted on ten primigravidas at 24-36 weeks' gestation, the instrument was a researcher using an interview guide. Data analysis uses data compaction techniques, data presentation and conclusion/verification. Result: based on coding analysis of keywords, ten categories and four themes were found, namely the perception of the benefits of counting fetal movements; previous experience and behavior; obstacles to the implementation of fetal motion counts; expectations about the method/tool for calculating fetal motion. Conclusion: the findings of the theme underlie the need for the development of a fetal kick count that can be used in monitoring fetal well-being independently by pregnant women and stimulating maternal-fetal attachment.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is a critical intervention in reducing infant mortality and addressing issues related to nutritional status. Utilizing lactagogues is one approach to enhance the secretion and production of breast milk. Torbangun leaves (Coleus amboinicus l.) contain phytochemical components such as alkaloids, sterols, triterpenoids, tannins, and flavonoids, which are known to enhance breast milk production, increase milk protein concentration, accelerate ovulation, improve protein digestion, and aid in breast milk production. This study aims to assess the efficacy of torbangun leaf herbal tea in influencing the duration and frequency of breastfeeding in the North Tapanuli Regency. The study included a sample size of 64 participants meeting the inclusion criteria, divided into treatment and control groups through purposive sampling. Data collection involved interviews using questionnaires and was analyzed using Chi-Square and One-Way ANOVA at a significance level of ? = 5%. The findings revealed that maternal knowledge (p-value 0.010.05) and a history of early initiation of breastfeeding (EIBF/IMD) (p-value 0.080.05) were significantly associated with exclusive breastfeeding. A higher level of knowledge was associated with a 3.7-fold greater likelihood of achieving successful exclusive breastfeeding, while early initiation of breastfeeding increased the chances by 4.19 times. One Way ANOVA results demonstrated that the duration and frequency of breastfeeding were notably higher and more significant among mothers who used torbangun leaf herbal tea compared to those who did not (p0.05). Recommendations include the following: 1) Increasing maternal awareness regarding the significance of exclusive breastfeeding and the use of torbangun plants to support breast milk production. 2) Promoting active engagement by healthcare professionals in disseminating information about the importance of exclusive breastfeeding and the utilization of herbal plants to enhance the success of exclusive breastfeeding.
