Abstract

Abstract

Maternal health is a topical issue of Population, Family Planning, and Family Development Programs in the 2030 SDGs indicators, namely by ensuring universal access to sexual health and reproductive rights. The Unmet need contraception is one of the main barriers to achieving SDGs goals in low-and middle-income countries. This study aims to explore and map the scientific evidence related to family planning in women of childbearing age with Unmet need contraception. Scoping review refers to the framework of Arksey O'Malley and is documented based on the PRISMA-ScR Checklist guide. Article search using 3 databases Pubmed, Sciencedirect, Ebsco host and 1 Gray literature Google Scholar by filtering the year of publication from 2019-2022. Obtained 15 articles are eligible and 3 findings of the theme are socio-demographic aspects, socio-psychology, and health. The results of the review found that the motivation of women of childbearing age in deciding Unmet need contraception is to exclude children and limit the number of children. Women of childbearing age with low decision-making autonomy within a family are most influential in determining the Unmet need contraception. Planning related to contraceptive use in the future is expressed by the motivation of contraceptive use plans at one time. Abstract

Drinking coffee and tea is a habit of the people of Tengger, East Java, Indonesia, including the women. The polyphenol content in coffee and tea, such as caffeine and tannin, is thought to be one of the factors that can inhibit the absorption of iron in the body. Polyphenols can bind to iron ions to produce compounds that are not useful and will be excreted from the body. So the excessive consumption of polyphenols is thought to cause a decrease in hemoglobin levels wichh indicates anemia. This research was conducted using the cross sectional method and processed using the SPSS application. The result showed that 94% of respondents consumed coffee, 96% consumed tea and 93% consumed coffee and tea every day. In general, the result showed that women of childbearing age with a high frequency of drinking coffe or tea without a mixture had a tendency to have relatively lower hemoglobin levels, compared to those who consumed coffee or tea with a mixture. Menawhile, data related to the habit of drinking coffee and tea without mixture shows relatively lower hemoglobin levels, compared to drinking coffee and tea with a mixture.

Abstract

Congenital talipes equinovarus (CTEV), or true clubfoot, is a foot deformity. The incidence of CTEV varies depending on race and gender. Traditionally, surgical intervention has been the treatment of choice for CTEV at a considerable cost. The Ponseti is a CTEV treatment method that does not use surgery and anesthesia. Instead, it uses gentle manipulation to correct the deformity. It is also more affordable than surgical treatment. Therefore, this study aims to explain the Effect of CTEV Treatment Costs with the Ponseti Method on Patient Quality of Life at Siaga Utama Orthopedic Hospital. This study uses quantitative methods. This study used a retrospective study with a sample of CTEV patients at Siaga Utama Orthopedic Hospital from February 2022 - February 2023. The author examined the effect of CTEV treatment costs on quality of life (QALYs). The results showed that the cost of treatment with the onset method positively impacted the patient's quality of life. The cost of treatment with the Ponseti method proved to be cheaper. However, it can vary depending on many factors, such as location, type of disease or condition, the severity of the situation, and so on. In addition, the Ponseti method is time-consuming and requires specialized skills from the therapist to achieve optimal results.

Abstract

Background: Bleeding is one of the causes of increased maternal mortality cases. Post partum bleeding is caused by the failure of uterine involution to contract normally which is commonly referred to as sub-involution. Uterine involution is a process where the uterus and other reproductive organs change to their pre-pregnancy state during the puerperium. This research created an innovative massage girdle as an alternative to uterine involution therapy. Purpose: To prove that the use of Vibration Massage Corset (VMC) together with uterine massage is more effective in helping the process of uterine involution. Methods: Research and Development (RD) type, Quasy Experiment, Pre-Test Post-Test design. The total sample of 32 respondents was divided into 16 control groups which were only given uterine massage, 16 intervention groups were given treatment using VMC and uterine massage. Bivariate analysis using the Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney test. Results: 14 respondents (87.5%) experienced uterine involution according to the time of involution after using VMC and uterine massage, while the group that was only given uterine massage 11 respondents (68.8%) experienced uterine involution according to the time of involution. The p-value of uterine involution after treatment of the control and intervention groups was 0.024 (p 0.05) so that the use of VMC and uterine massage was more effective in helping the process of uterine involution than just being given uterine massage. Conclusion: Using VMC together with uterine massage is more effective in helping the process of uterine involution than just giving uterine massage.

Abstract

The prevalence of chronic illnesses, including hypertension, stroke, heart failure, diabetes mellitus, cancer, and chronic kidney disease, is rising globally. The primary causes of death and disability among patients are these kinds of illnesses. Consequently, healthcare professionals must focus more on these illnesses. This study aims to collect and examine articles related to illness representations in chronic diseases. A search for relevant literature was conducted using the following keywords: "Illness Representations," "Female," "Patient," and "Chronic Diseases" across three databases: PubMed, Taylor Francis, and Science Direct. Time for articles with searches published from 2018 to 2023. Five articles were selected after screening 762 total articles in accordance with the PRISMA flowchart guidelines. The findings indicated that different populations have different representations of chronic diseases and that these diseases are reflected in the course of illness. It is important to take into account various factors that influence the way illnesses are portrayed, including stable health conditions, knowledge, perception, the duration of the illness, and marital satisfaction. It should be possible for future research to examine how illnesses are represented as chronic diseases in greater detail using a range of research designs.Abstrak: Prevalensi penyakit kronis, termasuk hipertensi, stroke, gagal jantung, diabetes melitus, kanker, dan penyakit ginjal kronis, meningkat secara global.
