Abstract

Stunting is a developmental disorder characterized by inadequate height for age and chronic malnutrition resulting from a protracted food shortage. Stunting can be caused by a mother's lack of nutrition knowledge and her inability to get both quality and quantity of meals. This study aimed to explore the relationship between mothers' knowledge and dietary pattern with the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 24-59 months during a new normal era in Solok Regency. This observational cross-sectional study was done in the working area of the Paninggahan, Batu Bajanjang, and Alahan Panjang Health Centers, Solok Regency, with 110 participants aged 24-59 months using Multistage Random Sampling. A questionnaire containing the characteristics of mothers and toddlers, mothers' knowledge, FFQ and IDDS forms were applied for data collecting. The data were then analyzed using the Chi-Square test. 60.9% of children aged 24-59 months were found to be stunted, according to the study. The Chi-Square test showed a relationship between the mother's knowledge and the incidence of toddler stunting (p = 0.024 and OR = 2.0). In addition, there is a substantial relationship between dietary patterns and the incidence of stunting in toddlers (p = 0.000 and OR=7.9). Abstrak: Stunting adalah gangguan perkembangan yang ditandai dengan tinggi badan yang tidak memadai untuk usia dan kekurangan gizi kronis akibat kekurangan makanan yang berkepanjangan. Stunting dapat disebabkan oleh kurangnya pengetahuan ibu tentang gizi dan ketidakmampuan ibu dalam mendapatkan makanan baik kualitas maupun kuantitas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan ibu dan pola konsumsi dengan kejadian stunting pada balita usia 24-59 bulan pada masa adaptasi kebiasaan baru di Kabupaten Solok. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional dengan desain cross-sectional yang dilakukan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Paninggahan, Batu Bajanjang, dan Alahan Panjang, Kabupaten Solok, dengan jumlah partisipan 110 orang berusia 24-59 bulan dengan menggunakan Multistage Random Sampling. Kuesioner yang berisi karakteristik ibu dan balita, pengetahuan ibu, formulir FFQ dan IDDS digunakan untuk pengumpulan data. Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-Square. 60,9% anak usia 24-59 bulan ditemukan mengalami stunting, menurut penelitian tersebut. Uji Chi-Square menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara pendidikan ibu dengan kejadian stunting pada balita (p = 0,024 dan OR = 2,0). Selain itu, terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara pola konsumsi dengan kejadian kejadian stunting pada balita (p = 0,000 dan OR=7,9).

Abstract

 Stunting is a common occurrence, and one of the causes is pregnant women's nutritional state. The mother experiences nausea, vomiting, and a lack of appetite in the first trimester of pregnancy as a result of physiological changes, including an increase in hCG and modifications to glucose metabolism. One activity with a history of success in lowering anxiety problems is Kundalini Yoga. The design of this study is quasi-experimental with sampling techniques using total sampling. All 1st-trimester pregnant women in the Mancon Polindes work area were measured for nausea and vomiting using the PUQE-24 questionnaire. Kundalini yoga is given by researchers who have been supervised by certified yoga instructors. For individual training at home, pregnant women are given videos as a guide. Assessment will be carried out within 1 month. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (t-test). The amount of nausea experienced by pregnant women in their first trimester differed significantly between the treatment group and the control group (p = 0.000, p0.05). Vomiting rates in the treatment group and the control group were significantly different after the Kundalini technique therapy (p = 0.000, p0.05).  Kundalini yoga is an effective strategy for reducing emesis gravidarum in pregnancy.

Abstract

The service quality of hospitals is a benchmark for the success of health sector development. The use of electronic prescribing (E-prescribing) enables a faster, more accurate, and more efficient service process in hospitals. Related to this matter, current research was carried out aim-ing to examine the use of E-prescribing in the medical sector, especial-ly in hospitals. This study encompassed three phases: (1) identification of relevant literature and data collection; (2) analysis and assessment of the identified literature; and (3) additional categorization of the ob-tained literature. The results of this study concluded that the use of e-prescribing can improve the service quality received by patients in hos-pitals. In addition, its use can also reduce the prescribing errors and increase the cost and time efficiency. However, medical errors are still found, in which it is primarily affected human factors (human error). On the other hand, patient information data must be kept protected, yet the use of e-prescribing can cause the prescription data which is part of confidential medical records and should be protected to be easily ac-cessed by irresponsible parties.

Abstract

Introduction Schizophrenia cases are increasing worldwide, especially in low- and middle-income countries. Schizophrenia is a serious and chronic mental illness that requires care for family members, but in practice, this becomes a burden for the family, both objective and subjective.Objective This systematic review aims to identify the main focus regarding the burden on families as caregivers of family members with schizophrenia.Method The research method uses PRISMA with a systematic approach and selection process with literature sources searched from the Scopus, PubMed, ScienceDirect, and ProQuest databases and manual searches with the keywords "Caregiver Burden OR Family Burden AND Schizophrenia". The results of the articles that were filtered and obtained were then evaluated using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) tool.Result Three main themes were found to be related to the family's burden as caregivers of a family member with schizophrenia. The three themes are caregiver burden, stigma, and health services.Conclution Findings suggest that family burden on caregivers influences the family's ability to care for patients with schizophrenia. The family's burden as caregivers is an important indicator for the provision of mental health services.

Abstract

Schizophrenia is a serious mental disorder that requires long-term care and treatment. The treatment requires caregivers who may come from the family. A caregiver's daily tasks can be overwhelming, leading to psychosocial problems. This study aims to identify the effectiveness of psychosocial adaptation interventions in overcoming psychosocial problems in family caregivers of schizophrenic patients. This study used a systematic review approach. The literature search was sourced from five databases: Wiley Online Library, ScienceDirect, ProQuest, EMBASE, and Sage Journals. The keywords used were family caregiver, schizophrenia patient, psychosocial adaptation, and psychosocial problem. The results of a literature search obtained 448 articles then were screened with the criteria of articles published in 2018-2023, open access, full-text articles, original articles with a randomized controlled trial study design, discussing psychosocial adaptation interventions and psychosocial problems in schizophrenic family caregivers, and English. The results of the article screening obtained six articles, and critical appraisal was carried out using the JBI Critical Appraisal Checklist for Randomized Controlled Trials. All of them were included in grade A ( 90%). Based on the results, psychosocial adaptation interventions effectively dealt with family caregivers' psychosocial problems, including signs of depression, anxiety, stress, self-stigma, psychological burden, emotions, feelings of worthlessness, and powerlessness. Therefore, psychosocial adaptation interventions for schizophrenia family caregivers could be conducted comprehensively by telephone or spiritual approach, involving direct contact with patients, families, and communities. With optimal involvement by family caregivers by focusing on positive aspects and goals that the family caregiver wants to achieve, the role of accompanying the care and treatment of schizophrenic patients can be achieved.

Abstract

In order to treat non-muscle invasive bladder cancer, this study will compare and contrast conventional transurethral resection of bladder tumors (TURBT) with En-bloc resection (ERBT). It will also assess the efficacy, safety, and recurrence rates of these two methods. We searched PubMed and Sience Direct for relevant articles published between 2013 and 2023. Articles from randomized controlled trials, retrospective analyses, and prospective studies comparing non-muscle invasive bladder cancer therapies employing en bloc versus conventional TURBT are included in this analysis. Measuring effect size was done using Mean Difference (MD) and Odd Ratio (OR) with 95% CI. There is statistical significance when the p-value is less than 0.05. Fourteen studies were eligible for inclusion. With fewer tumor recurrences (OR 0.66; 95% [CI]  0.52, 0.84; I2 = 6%; P = 0.0007), ERBT proved to be superior to TURBT. There was a decrease in the occurrence of perioperative complications and outcomes associated with ERBT, including bladder perforation and obturator nerve injury.  According to the fourteen articles that were included, patients receiving ERBT experienced much fewer complications, recurrences, hospital stays, and catheterization time than those receiving conventional TURBT.

Abstract

Background: Children's mental health is a condition of harmoniously adapting to themselves, their peers, and their environment. Children can control emotions when playing with their peers and have positive and negative attitudes toward themselves. Children's mental health can affect growth and development in adolescence and adulthood, so it can be instilled early. This study aims to identify the factors influencing mental health in school-age children. Methods: The article search uses articles from the last ten years, from 2013-2022. Search articles using the EBSCO, ProQuest, Google Scholar, and ScienceDirect databases according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria that have been determined. The article identification process uses the PRISMA chart and keywords used to identify relevant studies in this review such as “cause”, “child mental health”, and “primary school”. Results: The results obtained from the search for articles were 41377, with the results of as many as 16 articles that matched the inclusion criteria. The results of the paper show that several factors affect the mental health of elementary school-aged children including peer relationships, bullying, violence by friends, attending physical lessons and exergames, student academies, and support from staff and teachers at school. The conclusion is that the scope of the school can influence the factors that affect mental health and mental health problems of children. Abstrak: Latar Belakang Kesehatan jiwa anak merupakan suatu kondisi anak mampu beradaptasi dengan dirinya sendiri, teman sebayanya, dan lingkungannya secara harmonis. Anak mampu mengontrol emosi saat bermain dengan teman sebayanya serta anak memiliki sikap positif dan negatif terhadap dirinya sendiri. Kesehatan jiwa anak dapat mempengaruhi tumbuh kembang dimasa remaja dan dewasa sehingga, dapat ditanamkan dari sejak dini. Tujuan Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesehatan jiwa pada anak usia sekolah. Metode Pencarian artikel menggunakan artikel 10 tahun terakhir yaitu dari tahun 2013-2022. Pencarian artikel menggunakan data base EBSCO, Proquest, Google Scholar, dan scienceDirect sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi yang sudah ditentukan. Proses identifikasi artikel menggunakan bagan PRISMA, kata kunci yang digunakan untuk untuk mengidentifikasi studi yang relevan dalam review ini seperti “Penyebab”, “kesehatan jiwa anak”,” disekolah dasar”. Hasil yang didapat dari penelusuran artikel yaitu sebanyak 41377, dengan hasil sebanyak 16 artikel yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi. Hasil dari artikel terdapat beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi kesehatan jiwa anak usia sekolah dasar diantaranya hubungan teman sebaya, bullying dan kekerasan oleh teman, mengikuti pelajaran jasmani dan exergames, akademi siswa, dukungan dari staf dan guru di sekolah. kesimpulan yaitu faktor -faktor yang mempengaruhi kesehatan jiwa dan masalah kesehatan kesehatan jiwa anak dapat dipengaruhi oleh ruang lingkup disekolah

Abstract

Infants are the age of newborns up to one year, who go through a process of development and growth. This process passes quickly, briefly, and cannot be repeated, so it is called the "golden period". In 2015, 16% of Indonesian children had problems with fine motor development. The study's purpose was to describe the development of fine motor and language in infants aged 6-12 months. This study was quantitative, with a descriptive approach. The population was 103 infants. The population was all mothers with infants aged 6-12 months who visited PUSKESMAS Karuwisi, Makassar City. The sample of this study was infants aged 6-12 months. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The sample number was 51 people. The tool used was the Denver Developmental Screening Test (DDST) Observation Sheet. The Findings showed that the most fine motor skills developments was normal category, as many as 42 (82.4%), and language development was normal category, as many as 39 (76.5%). We can conclude that the highest fine motor development of infants aged 6-12 months was normal category, and the highest language development of infants was normal category. It is hoped that every parent should provide the appropriate stimulation according to the infant's developmental stage.

Abstract

Latar Belakang:  Menarche merupakan tonggak penting dalam kesehatan reproduksi remaja perempuan, menandakan permulaan masa pubertas dan peralihan menuju kedewasaan, membawa berbagai dampak sosial . Ketidaksiapan remaja putri menghadapi menarche merupakan masalah penting yang dapat menimbulkan kecemasan, ketakutan, dan rasa malu. Tujuan: Untuk mengeksplorasi bukti ilmiah tentang strategi pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi untuk mempersiapkan menarche pada anak. Metode : Metode scoping review ini menggunakan 5 langkah diantaranya mengidentifikasi pertanyaan review menggunakan kerangka Population, Concept, and Context (PCC) Study Selection, Charting Data, Colating, Summarizing, dan Reporting the result . Pencarian literatur menggunakan database PubMed, ScienceDirect, dan EBSCO, dengan kualitas artikel dinilai menggunakan alat JBI. Hasil : Tinjauan ini mengidentifikasi tiga tema: strategi pendidikan persiapan menarche (pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi di sekolah, di rumah, dan layanan kesehatan reproduksi remaja), hambatan kesiapan menstruasi (keterbatasan berdiskusi dengan anggota keluarga, kecemasan, dan keterbatasan dalam pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi dan ekonomi), dan sumber informasi (guru, orang tua, dan teman sebaya). Kesimpulan : Strategi pendidikan persiapan menarche yang paling tepat adalah pendidikan kesehatan reproduksi di sekolah. Terdapat kebutuhan untuk meningkatkan layanan kesehatan reproduksi remaja untuk memastikan mereka menerima informasi yang akurat dan terpercaya mengenai kesehatan reproduksi, termasuk persiapan menghadapi menarche dan menstruasi. Kata Kunci : Strategi, Kesehatan Seksual dan Reproduksi, Menarche, Persiapan, Anak

Abstract

The development of nursing education has undergone acceleration in various aspects. The effect of rapid digitalization, the requirements to become professional nurses, increasingly stringent regulations, global open competition and a variety of diseases that are increasingly developing in society have all added to the need for nurse lecturers who have relevant competencies in educating future nurse candidates. Clinical education for nurses is an integrated part of the nursing curriculum and a fundamental for bridging the gap between practice and theory. Based on the needs of students to oversee the process of assessing the competence of nurse lecturers both in academics and in practice in the field aims to maintain quality and improve competence. The aim of this systematic review is to describe the assessment of the competence of the nurse lecturers in nursing education. Systematic review of original article using quantitative study. Four data base sources chosen to get original articles: Science Direct, Proquest, Wiley, Scopus. The review method uses the PCO criteria (s). The selected articles have been limited to the criteria of using English, open access and full text, published between 2012 and 2023. Screening and extraction processes employ the Covidence system. Critical appraisal is done using JBI. The proceed of this review its importance knowledge, skills, and attitudes about leadership are proven to be important for increasing the competence of nurse lecturers. Furthermore, lecturers' confidence in their own competence was associated with having entrepreneurial experience and promulgate it to the students. This systematic review provides an overview wheter instruments can be used to assess the competence of nurse lecturers. Competent nurse lecturers will encourage the improvement of the quality of nursing student graduates and nursing education. The main competencies that must be possessed by nurse lecturers include knowledge, skills and attitudes. The competency that is most frequently found is pedagogical competence. By assessing the competence of nurse lecturers through nurse lecturer assessment instruments, it is expected that the quality of nursing education will be maintained.
