Abstract

Paul Hidajat focused on extracting the Book of Leviticus in simple and concise language. The preparation of this book began from a discussion on the social media group (WA) of God's servants from various types of ministries. The discussion was also about the Book of Leviticus and how the application of God's people today should be done. How to understand the Book of Leviticus with provisions that seem difficult to find material and source in the present day? What to do to find replacement material that can't be found? Including how to formulate various worship and practices of burnt offerings, forgiveness of sins or the purification of priests who are indeed in a different context to the present? Using the method of extracting words with the support of cultural context, and the times of writing. Hidajat carefully provides answers to various initial questions in discussions on social media groups through this book. The holiness of the priest today deserves to be maintained so that the continuation of the faith of God's chosen church in the present is maintained. God gives various rules and regulations to guide His people to live holy life and honor God's grace while in it God's love is manifest in the redemption of man. These rules and regulations are given to show God's concern and love for His chosen people.

Abstract

The diversity of spirituality patterns of generations in the church is a reality. Each generation has a unique style of spirituality. This uniqueness is a gift from God which of course is also shaped by the life experiences of each generation that is permitted by God. This challenges the church to carry out a generation-based ministry to develop the spirituality of the congregation. This paper helps ministers to understand the spiritual characteristics of each generation as a basis for developing intergenerational spirituality ministries. The uniqueness of the spirituality of generations must be embraced in the fellowship of the congregation as the family of God.

Abstract

Spiritual leadership has experienced a significant correction of service responsibilities for God's church. Several reasons are advances in information technology, social media, and financial problems. On the other hand, the digital generation is the majority of the congregation. The facts show that 6 out of 10 people (59%) leave the Christian faith in the first decade of adulthood, and the number 44% - 52% do not go to church. The personality of the digital generation tends to be eroded, while the church leadership seems to have lost the enthusiasm to reach them. The question is how to build the resilience of spiritual leaders in the digital age? What kind of implications and approaches in developing the personality of the Digital Generation can take? The purpose is to describe the steps to build spiritual leadership resilience and explain the implications and mission approaches of digital generation personality development. Research is a qualitative descriptive method. The results are building Spiritual Leadership Resilience by upgrading oneself in contemporary leadership, building friendships, synergizing with other spiritual practitioners, and building worship praise as a medium for spiritual experience. The implications for the digital generation are: Developing the three vocations of the church, building intergenerational relationships and leadership spirit, generating gifts and role effectiveness, and emphasizing the meaning and fulfillment of future leadership functions.

Based on the analysis, it is concluded that family and cell group-based discipleship models, taught by the parents and church servants, with a slender size (one-on-one and one-to-many with maximum 12 of size) are most recommended to be applied in this pandemic era. All type of discipleship must have an orientation towards completing the Great Commission.

Abstract

The evolutionist view of humans has a negative influence on education, especially Christian education. Teaching the theory of human evolution in science learning in the classroom makes nature doubtful as God's creation. This is a challenge for Christian educators, for teaching the truth about human nature as the image and likeness of God. Christian educators must be equipped with a Christian theological anthropological understanding of human nature as the image and likeness of God. The purpose of this paper is to answer the evolutionist view of humans in education based on Christian theological anthropological studies. The research method is literature study. The results of the study concluded that humans, both educators and students, were created in the image and likeness of God who has a soul and body with various unique capacities (such as will and knowledge). Humans act as representatives of God on earth who have dominion over the rest of creation and have a special relationship with God as spiritual beings.

Abstract

This article aims to interpret the reality of the sacredness of the Maengket dance in Minahasa culture from a contextual theological perspective. Maengket dance is an original Minahasa dance that contains some sacred values ??in the form of traditional rituals (foso) and performing arts. This study uses a qualitative approach through interviews, observations, and literature study. The research finding in this article is the encounter between the Bible and culture in Minahasa seen in dance. However, due to globalization, the meaning of sacredness and ethnic identity in the dance has experienced a shift in values. Therefore, it is concluded that the Maengket dance is part of the identity of the Minahasa tribe in offering prayers of supplication and thanksgiving to Opo Empung Wailan Wangko (God the Almighty), which is inclusive in people's daily lives. On the other hand, it is necessary to get attention from various parties to preserve this artwork as a legacy of local wisdom for the next Minahasa generation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the spirituality of the Jewish liturgy in the celebration of the Eucharist and its impact on the involvement of Indonesian Catholics in the public sphere. This study was born from the concern that the Indonesian people are rich in spiritual values but are unable to shape a civilized public life. Therefore, this research awakens Catholics to be actively involved in the public sphere, especially in socio-political life, and to color it with gospel values. However, this call will be realized if the Eucharist as the source and peak of the Christian life can renew and encourage Catholics in Indonesia to take part in God's mission to save all people. So the Eucharist must draw on the spirituality contained in Jewish worship as the locus of a personal encounter with the God who saves. This study uses a literature study that finds cracks in the religious life and people's lives in public spaces because the celebration of the Eucharist is not able to renew the lives of Catholics witness in the world.
