Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to provide handout making training in integrated natural science lesson at SMP N 43 Padang. Handout are one of the teaching materials that support the teaching and learning process. Some of the benefits of using handout are helping students not to need to take notes, as a companion to teacher explanations, as student reference material, motivating students to be more active in learning, reminders of the main points of the material taught, providing feedback, and assessing learning outcomes. Therefore, teachers must be able to design handout to help students understand the material before and after the learning process. However, there are still many teachers at SMP N 43 Padang who still do not understand how to properly design handout and have not used handout in the teaching and learning process. The solution offered is that the community service team of Biology Education Study Program lecturers carry out training on making handout for integrated science subjects, where the expertise of the community service team is very supportive in carrying out this activity.

Abstract

Community service, on the socialization of the important role of education for children to improve the quality of families in Sigapokna Village, West Siberut District, Mentawai Islands Regency, is based on findings in the field that there are still many children who have dropped out of school and some of them have never received education at school since their age. In addition, parents have never received an education at school, so that it is reflected in the quality pattern of community life in families. The problem here is that the people in Sigapokna village based on information from the headman are still many people who do not understand the essence of education, the purpose of education and the role of education for their children to improve the quality of life in the family. The objectives of Community Service activities are 1) to provide understanding through socialization about the importance of education to improve the quality of families, 2) to provide opportunities in the form of responses from the Sigapokna Village community after the Community Service Activities were held. The method of community service activities is through the following stages 1) needs analysis, 2) work plans, 3) implementation of activities, 4) evaluation. The results of community service activities with the target population in the Sigapokna Village community by providing an understanding through the socialization of the importance of education, the goals of education, the role of education in improving the quality of families, and questions and answers about education that are attended by the community in the form of parents, children, village officials, there are approximately 50 heads of local families who have received a positive response from the community and the community's understanding is quite good.

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 memang begitu sangat merugikan kita semua, manakala saat diawal pandemi kita diwajiban untuk mengurangi mobilitas kita dengan harus melakukan segala aktivitas mulai dari belajar hingga bekerja mulai dari rumah, lalu bagaimana dengan para pekerja fisik? Tentunya mereka tidak dapat melakukan pekerjaan jarak jauh ( daring ) seperti para pekerja dibidang lainnya. Salah satu pekerja fisik yaitu bapak Idris, ia merupakan suami dari ibu Desy dan keluarga tersebut belum diberi momongan hingga saat ini. Pak Idris bekerja sebagai pemulung botol dan kardus bekas dank arena efek pandemic, ia tidak dapat bekerja lagi dan oleh karena itu kami dari Mahasiswa pendidikan Sejarah, Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka ingin membantu kehidupan keluarga Pak Idris sebagai bentuk rasa kemanusiaan dan juga penerapan dari teologi Al-Maun. Tujuan kami membuat artikel ini yaitu selain sebagai bentuk laporan tertulis dari mata kuliah Kemuhammadiyahan, kami juga akan menginfokan terkait proses kami dalam memberikan bantuan kepada keluarga Dhuafa mulai dari fundraishing hingga pemberian donasi dan metode Penelitian dalam artikel ini yaitu metode kuantitatif agar penelitian ini berjaan dengan secara sistematis dan berjalan secara obyektif serta menggunakan hasil wawancara dengan target yang kita bantu yaitu bapak Idris sebagai bentuk kevalidan data. Sebagai penulis kami berharap bahwa dengan adanya artikel ini, pembaca dapat mengambil hikmah dari kegiatan pemberdayaan keluarga Dhuafa yang kami lakukan dan hal ini menunjukan bahwa di era pandemic seperti saat ini dengan berbagai macam peraturan-peraturan new normal serta kemajan teknologi kita masih bisa membantu banyak orang.

Abstract

Pengembangan wirausaha limbah rumah tangga non-organik oleh kelompok Ibu-Ibu dan Remaja Putri di Gampong Alue Deah Teungoh (ADT) Kecamatan Meuraxa menjadi salah satu upaya peningkatan perekonomian masyarakat desa sekaligus solusi pengelolaan lingkungan berbasis masyarakat. Gampong Alue Deah Teungoh (ADT) merupakan salah satu desa binaan untuk program mengatasi dampak perubahan iklim atau Program Kampung Iklim (Proklim). Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini  adalah membantu kelompok perempuan di desa ADT untuk menghasilkan produk kerajinan dari limbah non-organik yang bernilai kreatif dan ekonomi, dan mendukung penerapan Proklim sebagai salah satu program Pemerintah Kota Banda Aceh dalam mengurangi produksi limbah rumah tangga di kota Banda Aceh khususnya di masa  pandemi Covid-19. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan memberikan pembekalan pemanfaatan dan pengelolaan limbah rumah tangga non-organik yang bernilai kreatif dan ekonomi, serta memberikan pengetahuan manajemen usaha dan ketrampilan dasar pemasaran efektif.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to provide assessment instrument making training in integrated natural science lesson at SMP N 43 Padang. An assessment instrument is a measuring tool used to measure a person's ability. The ability of students includes abilities in the realm of attitudes, knowledge and skills. To measure the ability of students in these three domains, appropriate instruments are needed so that educators can measure the ability of students' learning outcomes in the learning process. However, the reality on the ground is that there are still many educators at SMP N 43 Padang who still don't understand how to design an appropriate assessment instrument that fits the learning process. In this case, the community service team, lecturers of the Biology Education Study Program, PGRI University, West Sumatra, provided a solution to the problem by carrying out training in making assessment instruments in Integrated Science subjects. After training on making this assessment instrument, it is hoped that educators will be able to make assessment instruments that are in accordance with the learning process and can measure students' abilities appropriately.

Abstract

Media Sosial merupakan sarana yang dibangun dengan menggunakan berbagai macam platform yang bertujuan untuk menghubungkan seorang dengan orang lain di dunia virtualisasi dengan adanya media sosial seseorang dapat menemukan dan menambah persahabatan dan komunitas yang tidak mengenal tempat dan waktu untuk itu dengan adanya media sosial maka seorang atau sebuah istansi dapat memperkenalkan jati dirinya kepada banyak orang dalam satu jangkauan yaitu jaringan internet Yayasan Yatim/Piatu  & Dhuafa At-Taufiq merupakan sebuah Yayasan yang bergerak dalam bidang sosial menampung puluhan anak yatim dan piatu untuk dirawat dan besarkan sehingga tidak bisa dipungkiri sebuah peramasalahan dalam pengembangan anak asuhnya tentunya memerlukan biaya dan sebagai besar didapatkan dari donatur untuk hasil donasi yang didapatkan dari masyarakat sekitar Yayasan dan hanya di ketahui dari mulut ke mulut keberadasaan Yayasan tersebut untuk itu dengan memanfatkan teknologi agar lebih dikenal dan diketahui keberadaannya maka dapat dibuatkan sebuah Media Sosial untuk memposting kegiatan dan kebutuhan dari anak-anak asuh agar dapat menarik perhatian dermawan kegiatan tersebut dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan Metode workshop sehingga diharapkan nantinya akan menjadi donatur dengan adanya pengabdian kepada masyarakat pada Yayasan Yatim/Piatu  & Dhuafa At-Taufiq bertujuan dapat membantu dan mempermudah pada dermawan yang ingin menyisihkan hartanya untuk Wilayah Bekasi pada umumnya dan seindonesia pada khusunya.

Abstract

Sekolah Dasar (SD) sebagai salah satu Pendidikan Usia Dini kelas awal dan merupakan kelembagaan pendidikan yang berkiprah dalam mencerdaskan anak-anak bangsa melalui pembelajaran di kelas. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat mengenai implementasi media pembelajaran 3D untuk Sekolah Dasar (SD) tentang bangun ruang, adalah untuk mencapai pemahaman siswa SD mengenai jaring-jaring, Sifat-sifat, Luas Permukaan dan Volume benda Ruang. Adapun pendekatan atau metode yang digunakan adalah Service Learning (SL). Metode pengabdian Service Learning adalah salah satu pendekatan dalam pengajaran yang menggabungkan tujuan akademik dalam upaya menumbuhkan kesadaran dalam memecahkan persoalan secara langsung. Pelaksanaan Pengabdian masyarakat tentang penerapan media pembelajaran 3D tentang bangun ruang untuk peserta didik SD mendapatkan hasil yang memuaskan. Hal ini terlihat ketika proses penerapan media pembelajaran tersebut, hasilnya hampir 80% dari peserta didik mengikuti pembelajaran dengan semangat. Mereka sangat antusias mendengarkan penjelasan dari guru, setelah guru mendapatkan pelatihan dari tim Pengabdian masyarakat tersebut dikarenakan adanya media pembelajaran sehingga siswa merasa tertarik dan jauh lebih memahami materi yang disampaikan.

Abstract

One of the efforts made to educate the life of the nation is in an innovative way that must be applied in the learning process, one of which is by doing the teaching and learning process. Teachers are required to be able to carry out the learning process, learning evaluation, mastery of technology and information, the application of various learning models, one of which is with the CTL learning model and the use of learning media, including using canva applications, wordpress and other applications. The application of canva and wordpress applications can help teachers in delivering learning materials in a more interactive manner, thus enabling teaching and learning activities to be more productive and meaningful by simplifying tasks, increasing collaboration, and fostering communication. Learning media applications using canva and wordpress applications are felt very needed by teachers in the learning process because this type of media adapts to the present era in the era of society 5.0. The goal to be achieved in doing this activity is to provide training for teachers related to the use of learning media and also provide valuable experiences for teachers, especially the application of CTL learning models in the creation of learning media with the use of canva and wordpress applications in Taman Siswa Padang High School.

Abstract

The Community Service was held in SMK Amaliyah that located in Srengseng Sawah Jagakarsa, Jakarta Selatan purposed to conduct teacher training in terms of implementation of autonomy learning (AL) strategy for the student particularly in English language instruction in the online/blended environment. The training was organized both theoretically and practically related to the AL topic. Additionally, the detailed deployment of how to practice in the classroom was applied. The Community service activities were implemented in the form of training for teachers who teach at SMK Amaliyah. The method used in the training of community service activities used Community Language Learning, which is a method in which each other shares information and discusses and shares experiences like consultants and clients. This Community Service activity is carried out in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 Academic Year. In addition, this article also presents the participants' perceptions that involve reaction, learning, behavior, and result.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic that has occurred in the last two years has become a big challenge for teachers, not only teachers in formal school education, but also for teachers in non-formal education, one of which is Sunday school. Many do not realize that Sunday schools have also been severely affected by this pandemic, where Sunday school children cannot worship directly, cannot do various events directly and cannot listen to stories to the fullest due to limited media. So, it is very difficult to understand the story or material delivered by their teacher. In this case, teacher competence and parental support are very influential on the development of every Sunday school child. In this case, measuring the success of learning can be seen from the child's ability to accept the material presented boldly. Therefore, children need to have high motivation and enthusiasm in participating in distance learning (PJJ) and teachers need to provide interesting and innovative learning media. Video as a learning media is considered to be very effective for use in both formal and informal education for children from kindergarten to elementary school. by utilizing video media which is considered to be able to increase children's motivation and enthusiasm for learning, so that it affects children's learning outcomes. Overall, it can be expected that this activity can achieve its goal, namely making videos that can increase motivation and attract children's learning interest.
