Abstract

Abstract This study aims to improve the learning process and learning outcomes of IPAS for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 104/II Sungai Pinang through the implementation of the Example Non-Example model assisted by PowerPoint media. The method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles consisting of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection, with 30 students as the research subjects. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, tests, and documentation, while data analysis used qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results showed that there was an improvement in students’ learning outcomes at each stage. In the pre-action stage, 9 students (30%) achieved mastery, increasing in Cycle I to 14 students (46.67%), and in Cycle II increasing to 26 students (86.67%). In addition, the learning process also improved, marked by increased student activeness in discussions, confidence in expressing opinions, and the ability to conclude the material. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the reconstruction of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to systematically cultivate religious digital citizenship in the Society 5.0 era. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with PAI teachers, curriculum developers, and school administrators, complemented by participatory classroom observation and curriculum documentation analysis. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman interactive model, with credibility established through source and method triangulation. Findings reveal that the current PAI curriculum has organically integrated AI tools into its learning practices, producing observable indicators of religious digital citizenship; however, this achievement remains structurally incidental rather than intentionally designed. In response, this study proposes a four-dimensional curriculum reconstruction framework encompassing philosophical repositioning grounded in Islamic epistemology, cross-domain digital ethics content redesign, a three-phase AI-mediated pedagogical sequence (ta'aruf, tafakkur, tahqiq), and competency-based assessment aligned to religious digital citizenship outcomes. This reconstructed model contributes directly to SDG 4 (Quality Education) by advancing inclusive and character-forming religious education, and to SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by equipping students to engage digital public life with Islamic ethical grounding and moral discernment.

Abstract

Principal leadership is crucial for sustaining school quality in Indonesia's disadvantaged, frontier, and outermost (3T) areas, where limited infrastructure, teacher shortages, and difficult access often constrain educational services. This study aims to analyze the implementation of transformational leadership by principals at SMP Negeri 28 Buru and SMP Negeri 37 Buru, Maluku Province; identify its impacts on school performance; and explain supporting and inhibiting factors. A qualitative multi-site design was applied. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with principals, teachers, and students, direct observation of school activities, and documentation of school programs and student achievements. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and cross-site comparison, while credibility was strengthened through source triangulation, method triangulation, and member checking. The findings show that both principals applied the four dimensions of transformational leadership. Idealized influence appeared in discipline, integrity, and direct involvement in school activities. Inspirational motivation was reflected in efforts to build optimism and a shared vision. Intellectual stimulation encouraged teachers to use simple learning media and local resources. Individualized consideration appeared in personal coaching, emotional support, and attention to student potential. These practices improved teacher discipline, work motivation, student confidence, learning creativity, and community participation. Supporting factors included teacher solidarity, principal commitment, community support, operational assistance, and students' learning motivation, whereas obstacles included insufficient facilities, difficult geography, teacher shortages, limited professional training, and weak technology access.

Abstract

This study examines the halal tourism potential and maqasid al-shariah-based development strategy of the Natuna Geopark, a National Geopark encompassing 27,233.85 square kilometers of land and sea in Ranai, Natuna Regency, Indonesia's northernmost maritime border territory. The study aims to analyze the natural resource, cultural heritage, and infrastructure potential of the geopark as a halal tourism destination, and to construct a maqasid al-shariah-based strategy for its sustainable and Muslim-friendly development. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The findings reveal that the geopark possesses an exceptional convergence of 200-million-year-old geological formations, Srivijaya civilizational heritage, and living Malay Islamic cultural identity, yet remains structurally underdeveloped as a halal destination due to the absence of halal certification, Muslim-friendly geosite infrastructure, and any deliberate Islamic development framework. In response, this study constructs a five-pillar maqasid al-shariah-based development strategy encompassing hifz al-din, hifz al-nafs, hifz al-aql, hifz al-nasl, and hifz al-mal, offering a transferable model aligned with SDG 8, SDG 10, SDG 11, and SDG 16 for sustainable halal geoheritage tourism development in Muslim-majority border communities.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of influencer marketing and brand awareness on Generation Z’s food product purchase decisions, as well as to analyze the role of customer engagement as a mediating variable in the relationship between these variables. This study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. The research subjects are Generation Z individuals in Kediri City who have purchased food products based on influencer recommendations on social media. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a sample size of 96 respondents determined based on the Lemeshow formula. Data collection was conducted through the distribution of a questionnaire using a 1–5 Likert scale with a total of 16 research indicators. The data were analyzed using the SEM-PLS method with the assistance of the SmartPLS application to test the validity and reliability of the research instruments. The results indicate that brand awareness and customer engagement have a positive and significant influence on Generation Z’s food product purchase decisions. Influencer marketing was found to enhance customer engagement but does not exert a significant direct influence on purchase decisions. Furthermore, customer engagement acts as a mediating variable that strengthens the influence of influencer marketing and brand awareness on purchase decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation process of the Cawisan tradition in Palembang City, identify the Islamic educational values contained within it, and analyze its impact on the community's social behavior. This research employs a qualitative approach with an ethnographic design. The study was conducted in the areas of Tangga Buntung, Kertapati (Kemas Rindo), and Seberang Ulu II (11 Ulu) in Palembang City. Data collection techniques included participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis utilized the Miles and Huberman interactive model through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the Cawisan tradition is a form of local wisdom-based Islamic education that continues to persist amidst the modernization of urban society. This tradition is carried out through book recitations (kitab studies), tausiyah (religious lectures), remembrance of God, and religious discussions held alternately in mosques and residents' homes. The internalized Islamic educational values include aqidah (creed) values in the form of strengthening tawhid (monotheism) and faith; sharia (Islamic law) values through the habituation of worship and Islamic muamalah (social transactions); and akhlak (morals) values through the cultivation of etiquette, social solidarity, and ukhuwah Islamiyah (Islamic brotherhood). Furthermore, the Cawisan tradition is proven to have a positive impact on changing the social behavior of the community, particularly in strengthening social care, enhancing interaction ethics, and serving as a social control amidst the challenges of the digital era. This research underscores that Cawisan is not merely a cultural tradition, but a non-formal Islamic educational institution relevant to building the character of modern society.
