Abstract

Student discipline in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subject at SD Inpres 2 Lere requires specific interventions to address varying levels of classroom compliance. This study analyzes the teacher's structural efforts in utilizing the reward and punishment method to enforce discipline and shape student behavior. Using a qualitative descriptive design, data were extracted directly from the school principal, PAI teacher, and students via non-test instruments: passive observation, structured interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The pedagogical intervention is executed in three distinct phases: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The planning phase sets explicit classroom rules and defines the boundaries of consequences. Implementation relies on delivering positive reinforcement—such as applause, verbal praise, and tangible gifts—to compliant students, countered by educational punishments, specifically the mandatory memorization of short Quranic surahs, for infractions. The data confirms that substituting physical sanctions with educational penalties significantly modifies student conduct. Observational metrics recorded a 76.66% discipline rate, placing student compliance squarely within the "Disciplined" threshold. Corroborating this, student questionnaires scored 86.54% ("Very Good"), proving the method's reception as fair and motivating. The systematic integration of reward and punishment acts as a definitive mechanism to elevate learning motivation, curb classroom disruptions, and build a sustained, orderly environment for Islamic educational instruction.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the application of professional ethics for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in the use of learning technology at SDN Bandaran 3 Pamekasan. This research identifies various types of technology used, such as digital multimedia (video, animation, PowerPoint) and social media (WhatsApp, Instagram) as teaching tools. According to research, the practice of professional ethics emerges through professional dedication in presenting educational materials, respectful digital interactions, equitable treatment in assessments, and modeling exemplary digital behavior for students.. In addition, this research highlights existing challenges, both from within and without, including a lack of ethical awareness and pressure from the surrounding environment, and offers solutions through ongoing training and the formation of communities of practice. Integrating ethics in the use of technology is very important to maintain the quality of PAI learning in the digital age.

Abstract

Conventional teaching methods in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) often limit student engagement and conceptual understanding, leading to suboptimal academic performance. This research investigates the impact of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students in the PAI subject at SD Inpres 3 Talise. A quantitative approach utilizing a quasi-experimental Non-Equivalent Control Group Design was employed. The sample consisted of 46 students selected through purposive sampling, divided equally into a control class (VA) and an experimental class (VB). Data collection relied on validated and reliable multiple-choice tests administered as pretests and posttests. Initial baseline assessments indicated equivalent prior knowledge between both groups, with an identical average pretest score of 52.61. Following the intervention, the experimental class, which received instruction via the CTL model, achieved an average posttest score of 81.77. In contrast, the control class, taught using conventional methods, recorded a lower average posttest score of 73.28. Because the data distribution was not normal based on the Shapiro-Wilk test, hypothesis testing was conducted using the non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test. The statistical analysis yielded a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis. The application of the CTL model significantly improves student learning outcomes in PAI by directly connecting theoretical religious concepts to students' real-life experiences, thereby fostering active participation and deeper comprehension.

Abstract

The development of e-commerce and digital payment systems has changed transaction patterns and student consumption behavior. The ease of access and speed of transactions offered have the potential to encourage consumptive behavior, particularly through increased financial risk. This study aims to analyze the effect of e-commerce and digital payment system adoption on student consumptive behavior in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (D.I.Y) with financial risk as a mediating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 260 students who actively use e-commerce and digital payment systems. Data analysis was performed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that the adoption of e-commerce does not have a significant direct effect on consumptive behavior, while digital payment systems have a significant effect on the consumptive behavior of students. Financial risk was found to mediate the effect of e-commerce adoption on consumptive behavior, but did not mediate the effect of digital payment systems on consumptive behavior. The R-square value shows that e-commerce adoption and digital payment systems simultaneously explain some of the variation in students' consumptive behavior and financial risk. These findings confirm that financial risk plays an important role in explaining students' consumptive behavior in the digital age.

Abstract

The development of digital technology and social media has transformed patterns of political participation and citizen interaction in the public sphere. One important phenomenon in this context is the emergence of citizen journalism, which enables citizens to play an active role in the production and distribution of public information. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the practice of citizen journalism, civic engagement, and political dynamics on social media among Industrial Engineering students at Pasundan University. The study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method. Data were collected through a five-point Likert scale questionnaire from 85 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted through validity, reliability, and Pearson correlation tests. The results show that citizen journalism has a positive and very strong relationship with political civic engagement (r = 0.818; p < 0.001). In addition, civic engagement also correlates positively and strongly with political dynamics on social media (r = 0.724; p < 0.001), and citizen journalism is positively related to political dynamics on social media (r = 0.629; p < 0.001). These findings indicate that student involvement in citizen journalism practices and digital citizenship activities plays an important role in shaping a dynamic digital political space. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening digital literacy and citizenship awareness in supporting the quality of democracy in the digital age.

Abstract

This article examines the relationship between social media and participatory citizenship skills through a bibliometric and qualitative literature review approach. The study analyzed 120 articles published between 2021 and 2025 and indexed in the Scopus database. Literature selection was conducted using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) procedure, while bibliometric mapping was performed using VOSviewer to identify major research themes, keyword networks, and intellectual structures within the field. The findings reveal that the knowledge structure of social media and participatory citizenship is organized into four major clusters: conceptual, pedagogical, participatory-political, and methodological. The analysis shows that digital citizenship extends beyond technical digital skills and encompasses ethical, critical, and reflective competencies required for responsible engagement in digital environments. Social media has expanded opportunities for civic participation by facilitating communication, collaboration, and collective action; however, it also introduces challenges such as misinformation, polarization, and superficial forms of engagement. These findings suggest that citizenship education should move beyond knowledge transmission toward the development of participatory competencies supported by digital literacy, awareness of digital rights and responsibilities, and the cultivation of healthy digital cultures. This study contributes a conceptual framework for understanding how meaningful, measurable, and responsible citizen participation can be fostered in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse and compare the implementation of the BKKD RT Programme in Loa Pari Village and Manunggal Jaya Village, Tenggarong Seberang Sub-district, based on standard indicators and policy objectives, resources, inter-organisational communication, characteristics of the implementing bodies, socio-economic and political conditions, as well as the attitudes of implementers, and the challenges and obstacles in the implementation of the policy. This study employs a qualitative approach with a comparative design. Data sources consist of primary data obtained through in-depth interviews with the district government, village government, village facilitators, and RT heads in both villages, and secondary data in the form of BKKD RT budget realisation documents for 2022–2025, accountability reports, and other supporting documents. Data collection techniques included interviews, documentation, and field observation. Data analysis employed an interactive model comprising data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research findings indicate that the implementation of the RT BKKD Programme in both villages has generally proceeded in accordance with policy standards and is supported by a clear bureaucratic structure. However, there are differences in implementation patterns. This study identified two typologies at the village level: the stable-procedural model in Loa Pari Village, characterised by consistent administrative compliance and structured support; and the adaptive-verificative model in Manunggal Jaya Village, characterised by dynamic administrative adjustments and a multi-layered verification process. The obstacles identified include delays in fund disbursement, changes in technical regulations, limitations in RT administrative capacity, and variations in community participation. These findings indicate that institutional capacity and the effectiveness of coordination are determining factors in the success of policy implementation.
