Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively describe the implementation of the talaqqi method in improving students’ Qur’anic reading skills at SMK Negeri 1 Makarti Jaya, Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra. The background of this research is based on the persistently low level of Qur’anic reading ability among some students in formal schools, particularly in terms of the accuracy of makhraj, the application of tajwid rules, and reading fluency. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The researcher served as the main research instrument, supported by observation guidelines, interview protocols, and an assessment sheet for Qur’anic reading skills. To strengthen the qualitative findings, this study was also complemented by quantitative data in the form of students’ Qur’anic reading assessments before and after the implementation of the talaqqi method, which covered aspects of makhraj and tajwid accuracy, reading fluency, as well as accuracy of pronunciation and recitation rhythm. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the talaqqi method was carried out through five main stages, namely explaining, demonstrating, imitating, listening, and evaluating. The application of this method emphasizes direct face-to-face interaction between teachers and students, enabling immediate and continuous correction of recitation errors. The findings reveal a significant improvement in students’ Qur’anic reading skills, as reflected in the increase in the average reading score from 58.85 in the pre-implementation stage to 87.29 after the application of the talaqqi method. In addition to enhancing the technical aspects of Qur’anic reading, the talaqqi method also contributes to fostering discipline, patience, responsibility, and students’ respect for teachers and the Qur’an. Therefore, the talaqqi method is proven to be effective and relevant for implementation in Qur’anic learning within formal school settings as an effort to improve recitation quality while simultaneously strengthening students’ religious character.

Abstract

Local wisdom-based education plays an important role in shaping the character of elementary school students, particularly in developing the Pancasila Student Profile in line with the Merdeka Curriculum. This study aims to examine the contribution of local wisdom to the main values of the Pancasila Student Profile through a philosophical-pedagogical approach. The method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by analyzing scientific articles published from 2020 to 2025. The SLR process includes identification, screening, quality assessment, and synthesis of 30 relevant articles. The results show that the integration of local wisdom through traditional arts, cultural practices, and ethnopedagogical knowledge consistently strengthens the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile, such as global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence, creativity, and responsibility. Local culture-based learning also increases learning motivation, students' emotional attachment to the social environment, and the formation of cultural identity. Philosophically, local wisdom is a source of values that fosters ethical awareness; pedagogically, it provides contextual and meaningful learning. In conclusion, education based on local wisdom contributes significantly to the formation of the Pancasila Student Profile in elementary schools. Strengthening its implementation is necessary through curriculum development, innovative learning models, and community cultural support.

Abstract

This study investigates the significance of the "Jati Kasilih Ku Junti" philosophy in the local curriculum aimed at enhancing elementary school students' identity and character through a systematic literature review. The impact of globalization has led to a decline in Sundanese local wisdom values, particularly the someah character, which is a core component of Sundanese identity. This study employs a systematic literature review (SLR) methodology, analyzing 40 articles obtained from SINTA 3, SINTA 2, and SCOPUS databases, covering the years 2015 to 2025. Inclusion criteria encompass articles addressing character education based on local wisdom, Sundanese philosophical perspectives, and local curriculum implementation within the elementary education framework. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis and thematic analysis methodology. The findings indicate that the "Jati Kasilih Ku Junti" philosophy is highly relevant in promoting the development of someah character across three dimensions: cognitive (understanding values), affective (appreciating values), and psychomotor (practical application of values). Implementation of local curriculum informed by Sundanese wisdom can be realized through ethnopedagogical approaches, integration into local subjects, and Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project initiatives. Development strategies include contextual learning, integration of someah values into school culture, and outreach efforts directed at educators. This research contributes theoretically to the evolution of character education models rooted in Sundanese ethnopedagogy, while also serving as a practical reference for education practitioners in formulating effective local curricula aimed at preserving Sundanese cultural values in the elementary education context.

Abstract

Digital technology has increasingly shaped the teaching of English as an applied language in higher education. Although many university students are familiar with digital tools, educators often face challenges in selecting technologies that support meaningful learning outcomes. This study aimed to identify effective digital tools and summarize practical pedagogical implications for university-level English instruction. A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted following PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Fifty journal articles were retrieved from Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar. After screening and eligibility assessment, 16 studies were included for synthesis, representing experimental, quasi-experimental, mixed-methods, qualitative, survey-based, and conceptual analytical research. The findings show that Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL), particularly vocabulary apps and digital flashcards, provides the most consistent evidence of effectiveness, especially for vocabulary acquisition and retention. AI-supported tools and intelligent personal assistants demonstrate skill-specific benefits, particularly for speaking practice, pronunciation awareness, learner autonomy, and engagement, while effects on receptive skills are less consistent. Emerging technologies such as chatbots, robotics, and virtual reality show promising potential but remain underrepresented in rigorous classroom-based research. Overall, the review highlights that technology is most effective when integrated with clear learning objectives, structured tasks, and teacher guidance. Practical recommendations are provided to support educators in selecting and implementing digital tools that align with instructional goals and learner needs

Abstract

The rapid shift to online learning has brought significant changes to teaching practices and student participation, especially in elementary education where close teacher–student interaction is crucial. Despite this shift, empirical evidence on the factors that determine the effectiveness of online learning in Indonesian elementary schools remains limited. This study aimed to analyze the influence of teacher roles, learning motivation, and learning outcomes on the effectiveness of online learning at SD Negeri 007 Sekar Mawar Air Molek. A quantitative research approach was applied, involving 147 upper-grade students as participants. Data were collected through validated Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques and simple linear regression. The results showed that teacher roles had a very strong influence on the effectiveness of online learning (R = 0.996, R² = 0.992) as well as on student learning outcomes (R = 0.999, R² = 0.997). Furthermore, learning outcomes were found to significantly contribute to online learning effectiveness (R = 0.895, R² = 0.801). These findings underline the central role of teachers as facilitators, motivators, and evaluators in creating meaningful and effective online learning experiences. In conclusion, the effectiveness of online learning in elementary schools largely depends on teacher competence, the ability to foster student motivation, and adequate technological preparedness to support sustained student achievement.

Abstract

Teacher well-being is a fundamental aspect that directly influences the quality of learning and the resolution of various educational problems in elementary schools. Teachers who have good emotional, psychological, social, and professional well-being tend to be able to manage classrooms effectively, build positive interactions with students, and create a conducive learning climate. This study aims to examine the role of teacher well-being as a key in overcoming learning problems in elementary schools, particularly at SDIT Mutiara Cendekia. The study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through learning observations, in-depth interviews with teachers and principals, and documentation studies. The results show that low teacher well-being, which is influenced by administrative burdens, work pressure, limited preparation time, and minimal institutional support, has an impact on the decline in the quality of classroom management, variation in learning methods, and student engagement. Conversely, teachers with better well-being showed positive emotional regulation, higher pedagogical creativity, and constructive learning interactions. These findings confirm that improving teacher well-being is not only a personal issue but also an important strategy in improving learning effectiveness. Therefore, schools need to develop policies and programs that support teacher well-being in a sustainable manner as the foundation for improving the quality of basic education.

Abstract

Fake reviews and fake buyers on e-commerce platforms are practices that have the potential to mislead consumers and undermine trust in the digital commerce system. The manipulation of the review system not only affects consumer decisions, but also creates injustice for good-faith business actors. This study aims to analyze the legal arrangements related to fake reviews and fake buyers from the perspective of consumer protection, focusing on the responsibilities of e-commerce platform operators in Indonesia. The research method used is normative legal research with a regulatory approach and a contextual approach, through a study of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection and Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions. The results of the study show that positive law has not explicitly regulated the practice of fake reviews and fake buyers, so the responsibility of platforms is still limited as a provider of electronic means. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen regulations to clarify the obligations of platforms in preventing digital fraud practices and protecting consumers.

Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of social conflict and community fragmentation in Negeri Haya, Tehoru District, Central Maluku. The conflict arose from the entry of a company conducting granite sand extraction without proper mining permits, creating tensions between customary institutions, local government, and community members. Differences in understanding regarding licensing, authority, and economic interests led to disagreements and gradually escalated into open conflict. The study employed qualitative descriptive methods, including in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis, to explore the background, forms, processes, and impacts of the conflict. Findings indicate that the conflict significantly affected community livelihoods, social relationships, and trust among residents, while also dividing the community into opposing groups. Efforts at social reconciliation were carried out through customary sanctions, government mediation, and collective community initiatives to restore harmony. The study highlights the importance of integrating institutional, customary, and community-based approaches in managing resource-related conflicts in indigenous settings.
