Abstract

This study aims to describe the typology of conjunctions in the regional languages of East Makian with a focus on the classification of forms, syntactic functions, and relational meanings that appear in the use of language by students of the Indonesian Language Education Study Program, FKIP Khairun University. The East Makian language, also known as Taba or Makian Dalam, is a regional language spoken in the Makian and South Halmahera Island areas, North Maluku Province. The existence of this language is important to study because it is still alive in a spoken society, but it is in a situation that demands documentation and strengthening intergenerational functions. This research is prepared as a qualitative descriptive study with a structural-functional linguistic approach. The focus of the discussion was directed at the types of conjunctions that have the potential to appear in the speech of East Makian speakers, namely coordinated, subordinative, correlative, interclause, and intersentence conjunctions. Because specific documentation on East Makian conjunctions is still limited in available online sources, the typology discussion is compiled through the combination of basic linguistic data about East Makian with the framework of conjunction theory in Indonesian linguistics to produce an analysis model that can be used in advanced field research. The results of the study show that the typology of conjunctions in the Eastern Makian language can be conceptually mapped based on the relationship of addition, selection, contradiction, cause, condition, goal, time, and order between syntactic units. In the context of FKIP Unkhair students, the use of regional conjunctions is expected to be present side by side with Indonesian conjunctions due to the bilingual situation and language contact. Thus, research on Eastern Makian conjunctions is not only important for grammatical description, but also relevant for the preservation of regional languages, the teaching of regional linguistics, and the strengthening of students' linguistic identity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between digital citizenship understanding and ethical behavior of students in using TikTok social media. The study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational design and involves 66 students of class XII MAN 1 Way Kanan as samples through total sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire developed based on Ribble's (2015) theory for the digital citizenship understanding variable and Martin et al.'s (2018) theory for the ethical behavior variable. Data analysis was performed using the Spearman Rank correlation test because one of the variables was not normally distributed. The results showed a correlation coefficient of ρ = 0.775 with a significance of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a positive and strong relationship between the two variables. This means that the higher the students' understanding of digital citizenship, the better their ethical behavior in using TikTok. This study concludes that digital citizenship plays an important role in shaping responsible digital behavior. The limitations of this study include the use of a correlational design, a single sample from one madrasah, and self-report data that may contain bias.

Abstract

This Systematic Literature Review (SLR) analyzes the integration and contemporary implications of Behaviorism, Cognitivism, and Constructivism learning theories within the framework of the Kurikulum Merdeka (Independent Curriculum) in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in Indonesia. The SLR adhered to the PRISMA-Lite protocol, examining 25 studies published between 2020 and 2025 focusing on the functional relationship between learning theories and the Kurikulum Merdeka PAI. Thematic synthesis was employed to categorize the role of each theory across the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. The implementation of PAI is characterized by functional eclecticism. Behaviorism remains essential for repetitive practical skills (shalat and wudu mastery). Cognitivism acts as a crucial bridge for processing complex conceptual knowledge (Fiqh, Aqidah) through tools like advanced organizers. Crucially, Constructivism serves as the central philosophical core, utilized in Project-Based Learning (P5) to foster critical character, religious moderation, and contextual application of Islamic values. The findings highlight a necessary pedagogical shift in PAI from a purely doctrinal approach to an adaptive, student-centered model. Successful transformation requires targeted professional development for PAI teachers in facilitating constructive and cognitive strategies to meet the holistic demands of the curriculum

Abstract

This study addresses the issue of student tolerance within Islamic universities in Indonesia, highlighting the gap between the theological ideal of rahmatan lil ‘alamin and the practical challenges of campus diversity. The research aims to explore how cross-cultural educational experiences—through courses, community service, and student exchange programs—shape students’ attitudes toward tolerance. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with four students, both participants and non-participants of cross-cultural programs. The data were analyzed using reflexive thematic analysis. The findings reveal that students with intercultural experiences demonstrated greater empathy, reflection, and practical tolerance, while those without such exposure tended to conceptualize tolerance more abstractly. Integration of Islamic values, particularly rahmatan lil ‘alamin, provided a strong ethical foundation, although institutional limitations restricted equal access to such opportunities.Cross-cultural education, when aligned with Islamic principles, fosters tolerance as both a theological commitment and lived practice. This underscores the importance of embedding intercultural learning into the curriculum of Islamic higher education to prepare students as responsible global citizens.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of student organizations in strengthening Pancasila moral values through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The SLR method was applied, adhering to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. A literature search was conducted through the Google Scholar and Garuda databases for journal articles published between 2021 and 2025. Based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, 11 articles were selected for systematic analysis. The results of this study indicate that student organizations play a significant role in strengthening Pancasila moral character through learning and training in experience-based organizational activities, cadre development, leadership, deliberation, and student social interaction. Furthermore, it was found that active student involvement in these organizations is a crucial driving factor in maintaining the effectiveness of student organizations, which impacts students' Pancasila moral awareness. Therefore, this study addresses new facts regarding the role of student organizations as strategic non-formal educational spaces in strengthening students' Pancasila moral character.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the implementation of constructivist theory in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning as an effort to enhance students’ religious understanding in a solid and contextually relevant manner in line with contemporary developments. PAI learning that is still dominated by traditional, teacher-centered methods is considered less effective in fostering deep understanding and students’ critical thinking skills. Therefore, constructivist theory is proposed as an alternative approach that emphasizes the active role of learners in constructing knowledge through learning experiences, social interaction, and reflection. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design conducted at SD Negeri 02 Lubuk Keliat. The research informants consist of an Islamic Religious Education teacher and sixth-grade students. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and analysis of instructional documents. The collected data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings indicate that the implementation of a constructivist approach through group discussions, case studies, learning simulations, and the integration of educational technology enhances students’ learning motivation, understanding of religious subject matter, critical thinking skills, and learner autonomy. Nevertheless, the implementation of constructivism faces several challenges, including limited facilities and infrastructure as well as differences in students’ academic abilities. To address these challenges, teachers apply differentiated instruction strategies and strengthen collaboration between teachers and students. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that constructivist theory is an effective approach in Islamic Religious Education learning and contributes positively to shaping students who possess a deeper, more critical, and more applicable understanding of religion in their daily lives.
