Abstract

This study aims to determine the strategies used by teachers to foster creativity in fourth-grade students in art classes through collage materials at SDN Pasirjati Elementary School and to identify the factors that support and hinder creativity. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method to gain an in-depth understanding of the learning process. The subjects of this study consist of fourth-grade teachers and fourth-grade students selected through purposive sampling. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, literature study, and documentation, while data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, which included the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results showed that each teacher systematically planned teaching modules, used visual media, and applied a learning-by-doing model that emphasized hands-on practice. Collage learning using inorganic plastic waste had a positive impact on the development of students' creativity in both cognitive and non-cognitive aspects. Supporting factors included student interest and active participation, a conducive classroom atmosphere, and the availability of easily found materials, while inhibiting factors were related to differences in student characteristics and interests.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students in whole number material, particularly in addition and subtraction. Students experienced difficulties in understanding counting concepts and showed low engagement during lessons. This research aimed to examine the effect of Powtoon-based interactive animated videos on students’ mathematics learning outcomes, measure the improvement in their achievement, and analyze their responses to the learning process. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design was applied. The sample consisted of 30 students in class II A as the experimental group and 29 students in class II B as the control group. Data were collected through pretests, posttests, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Statistical analysis included normality and homogeneity tests, paired sample and independent sample t-tests, and N-Gain analysis using SPSS. The findings revealed that the use of Powtoon-based interactive animated videos significantly improved students’ mathematics learning outcomes. The experimental group achieved higher posttest scores with a moderate-to-high N-Gain level

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has posed significant challenges to students’ character formation, particularly for Islamic educational institutions that emphasize not only cognitive achievement but also moral and spiritual development. This study aims to analyze the concept, implementation, and contribution of a Love-Based Curriculum in shaping students’ character at SDIT Kamiliyah Palembang. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design. The participants consisted of one principal, three teachers, and six students selected purposively. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that the Love-Based Curriculum is conceptualized as an educational approach grounded in compassion (mahabbah), empathy, role modeling, and reflective dialogue. Its implementation is integrated into lesson planning, teacher–student interactions, restorative discipline practices, and school culture, including religious habituation and the 5S practice (smile, greet, and salute). This approach fosters intrinsic motivation, moral awareness, and the development of a sustainable religious habitus among students. Moreover, it creates a psychologically safe learning environment that encourages openness, reflection, and self-improvement. The study concludes that love functions as a systemic pedagogical paradigm integrating psychological, moral, and spiritual dimensions within Islamic education. The Love-Based Curriculum offers a holistic and contextual character education model in responding to the character crisis in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe diagnostic learning strategies in the internalization process of a love-based curriculum at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Ittifaqiah. A love-based curriculum is understood as an educational approach that emphasizes compassion, empathy, responsibility, and spirituality as the foundation for students’ character development. The primary challenge in its implementation lies in ensuring that values are not confined to cognitive understanding but are manifested in students’ attitudes and behaviors.This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with the principal and teachers, and analysis of instructional documents. Data analysis was conducted through systematic data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that diagnostic learning strategies were implemented through initial mapping of students’ characteristics, identification of learning needs and socio-religious backgrounds, and continuous formative assessment. Teachers utilized diagnostic results to design contextual, reflective, and exemplary-based learning processes.The study concludes that diagnostic learning plays a significant role in strengthening the internalization of love-based values through habituation, educational dialogue, and integration of values into classroom activities. It recommends enhancing teachers’ competencies in diagnostic assessment and developing structured character evaluation instruments to support the sustainability of love-based curriculum implementation in madrasah education.

Abstract

Leadership plays a strategic role in determining the success of educational organizations. The differences between transformational and transactional leadership have become an important area of study in understanding leadership effectiveness in schools. This study aims to analyze the conceptual differences between transformational and transactional leadership and to examine their relevance within the context of educational organizations. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a literature review method. Data were collected through an in-depth review of books, scholarly journals, and previous research related to leadership theories. The data were analyzed using content analysis techniques to identify the characteristics, strengths, and implications of both leadership styles. The findings indicate that transformational leadership is more relevant to the educational context because it enhances motivation, commitment, innovation, and collaborative culture. Meanwhile, transactional leadership remains necessary, particularly in administrative management and short-term goal achievement. Therefore, a proportional integration of both approaches is considered an effective strategy to improve performance and the overall quality of educational organizations.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan keaktifan belajar peserta didik pada materi puisi melalui LKPD berbasis problem solving. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Dalam pelaksanaan penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan selama 2 siklus diantaranya pra siklus, siklus I dan siklus II. Masing-masing siklus terdiri dari 4 tahapan, yaitu; (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan, (3) pengamatan dan (4) refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas 4 yang berjumlah 23 peserta didik di SD Negeri Barusari 02 Semarang. Penelitian ini dilaksankan pada semester II tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan, yaitu non test dengan instrumen lembar observasi keaktifan belajar peserta didik. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan peneliti dalam Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini adalah Teknik deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil rata-rata penelitian dari kondisi awal atau pra-siklus keaktifan belajar peserta didik memperoleh nilai 48% dengan kategori masih tergolong rendah, pada siklus I dengan menggunakan LKPD berbasis Problem Solving mengalami peningkatan keaktifan belajar mencapai 83% pada kategori tinggi dan pada siklus II menujukkan perolehan peningkatan 86% dengan kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan dari hasil rata-rata Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui LKPD berbasis problem solving dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence technology, particularly ChatGPT, has created new opportunities to support students’ academic writing processes. However, completing a final thesis remains challenging due to limited scientific writing skills, difficulties in finding references, and low levels of efficiency, effectiveness, and writing quality. The utilization of ChatGPT is considered an alternative solution to assist students in overcoming these obstacles, enabling a more optimal thesis-writing process. This study aims to determine the level of ChatGPT usage, analyze the optimization of final thesis writing, and examine the effect of ChatGPT usage on the optimization of thesis writing among students of the Pancasila and Civic Education Study Program, University of Lampung, Class of 2022. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method, involving 64 students as respondents. Primary data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 26. The results indicate that the use of ChatGPT is categorized as high in terms of usage intensity and skills, while the optimization of thesis writing is also classified as high in terms of efficiency, effectiveness, and quality. Statistically, ChatGPT usage has a significant effect on the optimization of thesis writing, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Therefore, ChatGPT plays a positive role in improving the speed, accuracy, and quality of thesis writing, while still requiring critical thinking and academic ethics to maintain the originality of scientific work.

Abstract

This study aims to deeply analyze the concept of the ethics of care within the love- based curriculum structure at MI Al-Islah Palembang. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results show that the ethics of care is not only implemented in learning but is also structured within the institutional vision, curriculum design, school culture, and character evaluation system. The integration of the values of love (mahabbah) and compassion (rahmah) serves as an epistemological foundation in building humanistic pedagogical relationships. These findings align with contemporary ethics of care theory (Noddings, 2021), social- emotional education (Schonert-Reichl, 2020), and the global humanistic education paradigm (UNESCO, 2021). This study concludes that the love-based curriculum contributes significantly to character formation, student psychological well-being, and strengthening an inclusive school culture..

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed to determine the improvement of students’ learning outcomes in music subjects through the use of recycled instrument media. The research employed an experimental method with a One Group Pretest–Posttest design. The population consisted of 33 fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 107415 Tanjung Sari, all of whom were selected as the research sample. The research instrument was a performance skill test assessing aspects of beat and tempo accuracy, rhythmic pattern consistency, playing technique, and students’ self-confidence. The instrument had been tested for validity and reliability. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, and the Paired Sample t-Test for hypothesis testing. The results showed that the mean pretest score was 43.56 (low category), while the mean posttest score increased to 76.14 (good category). The normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed, and the hypothesis test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of recycled instrument media is effective in improving students’ psychomotor learning outcomes in rhythmic pattern material. This study provides empirical evidence that the implementation of innovative and contextual learning media can significantly enhance students’ skills and understanding. Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of the Scramble-type cooperative learning model on students’ learning outcomes in Pancasila Education among fourth-grade students at SDN 1 Lambheu Aceh Besar. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a nonequivalent control group design. The population consisted of all fourth-grade students, with the sample comprising an experimental class and a control class selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a 20-item multiple-choice test administered as pretest and posttest. The data were analyzed using the N-Gain test, normality and homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing through an independent sample t-test with the assistance of SPSS. The findings revealed that students taught using the Scramble-type cooperative learning model achieved higher learning outcomes compared to those taught using the direct learning model. The hypothesis testing showed a significance value (2-tailed) < 0.05, indicating that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Scramble-type cooperative learning model has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in Pancasila Education at SDN 1 Lambheu Aceh Besar.
