Abstract

This study aims to develop learning video media using Camtasia on the solar system material for sixth grade elementary school using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were 26 students, with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, expert validation questionnaires, teacher and student response questionnaires, and pretest and posttest tests. The results of the study showed that the developed media was categorized as feasible based on the assessment of media design experts (71.66%), material experts (85%), and education practitioners (83.33%). The average pretest score of 63 increased to 86 in the posttest with an effectiveness level of 88.46%. Teacher and student responses also showed that the media was easy to use, made learning more interesting, and helped students understand abstract material. Thus, Camtasia-based learning videos can be used as an alternative science learning media for solar system material in elementary schools.

Abstract

Pregnant women often feel more anxious due to the effects of physical changes. This anxiety is caused by increased levels of the hormone progesterone. Exercise is one way to manage anxiety and stress. Research indicates that prenatal exercise can alleviate anxiety during pregnancy. Objective: This study investigates the effectiveness of prenatal exercise in reducing anxiety among pregnant women in the third trimester at the Rostian Midwife Clinic in Padang. Method: This study employed a quasi-experimental design. A group of pregnant women in the third trimester underwent pre- and post-intervention assessments. Univariate and bivariate analyses were used to determine the effects of prenatal exercise on anxiety levels among pregnant women in the third trimester. Results: Before the intervention, moderate anxiety levels were 60%, and severe anxiety was 36.67%. After the intervention, moderate anxiety was 56.66%, mild anxiety was 40%, and severe anxiety was 3.33%. All of the above findings indicate that exercising during pregnancy can significantly reduce anxiety in the third trimester. The results of the analysis yielded a p-value of 0.000, and since this p-value is smaller than the significance level (α = 5% or 0.05), this indicates a significant effect of prenatal exercise on anxiety levels in pregnant women in the third trimester. Conclusion: There was a decrease in anxiety levels both before and after the intervention; prenatal exercise has a significant effect on reducing anxiety levels in pregnant women in the third trimester

Abstract

This study aims to describe the expressions of freedom and responsibility of female characters in the novel Paya Nie by Ida Fitri through a literary psychology approach with the existentialism perspective of Jean-Paul Sartre. The novel is analyzed to express women’s life experiences within social contexts such as poverty, social pressure, and conflicts in Acehnese society. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with thematic analysis techniques on data in the form of narration, dialogue, and monologue of female characters in the novel. The data were collected through intensive reading, note-taking, and classification of relevant excerpts based on the research focus.The results show that the expressions of freedom of female characters are manifested in two forms: freedom in speech and freedom in action. Freedom in speech is reflected in the characters’ courage to express opinions and make life choices, while freedom in action is demonstrated through their responses to the social situations they face. This study also finds expressions of responsibility shown by female characters in both speech and action, such as their concern for family and awareness in carrying out social roles. The findings indicate that the freedom of female characters in the novel Paya Nie is inseparable from the responsibilities they must bear as consequences of the life choices they make.

Abstract

Character development in kindergarten children is crucially determined by an appropriate and effective learning system. An appropriate and effective learning system is a learning approach tailored to their development. In this context, this activity was implemented through Community Service (PkM) at the HKBP Tarutung Kindergarten, using the interactive Bible story method as a means of instilling Christian values. This method was chosen because it actively engages children through fun and communicative activities. The activity encompasses planning, implementation, and evaluation, conducted through observation and direct interaction with the HKBP Kindergarten children.The results of the PkM activity indicate that the approach implemented was able to encourage and develop children's understanding of Christian values, particularly those encompassing love, honesty, obedience, and responsibility, becoming clearer and more nuanced. Furthermore, there was an increase in children's participation, discipline, and social skills during the learning activities. This demonstrates that the interactive Bible story method is effective in supporting the gradual character development of kindergarten children.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the learning interests of grade 2 students at SDN Sawah Besar 01 towards media images. This research belongs to the type of qualitative research with a descriptive method approach. Subjects taken in this study were 6 students with high, medium and low categories. Data collection techniques were in the form of document study tests and interviews with students who were used as research subjects. The results showed that the learning interest of the 2nd grade students at SDN Sawah Besar 01 had high enthusiasm in the learning process in using media images, students had a feeling of joy and were active in the learning process. Learning media that is suitable for students, especially in the lower classes, is using picture media. The problem that arises in grade 2 students at SDN Sawah Besar 01 is the lack of interest in learning in some students during the learning process using media images, therefore the importance of attractive media images is to increase student learning interest.

Abstract

This study aims to improve community knowledge and skills in utilizing local food resources, specifically rebon shrimp, through training in processing it into halal-standard sumpia products. The activity was conducted in Suka Maju Village, Tanjung Pura District, using a participatory method consisting of socialization, training, hands-on practice, and evaluation. The participants were local residents, particularly housewives and small business actors. The results showed an increase in participants' understanding and skills in processing rebon shrimp into value-added products. Prior to the training, most participants were unfamiliar with the processing techniques. After the training, they were able to understand the production process and showed interest in developing local-based businesses. The program also raised awareness of simple business management and halal production standards. Therefore, this training contributes to strengthening MSMEs and empowering the local economy.

Abstract

This study is motivated by issues related to the analysis of early childhood development at TK ABA Sungai Limau. The problem arises from the importance of understanding children’s developmental processes, including physical, psychosocial, and socio-emotional aspects, which have not been thoroughly analyzed in this setting. Therefore, this study aims to identify and describe early childhood development at TK ABA Sungai Limau. This research employs a field research design with a qualitative approach. It was conducted in Padang Pariaman Regency, with teachers and parents of TK ABA Sungai Limau students as the main informants. Data were collected through observation and interviews. The data were analyzed using a descriptive method, which systematically describes the actual conditions found in the field. The results show that early childhood development is a continuous, progressive process that cannot be repeated. It involves relatively permanent changes influenced by physical maturity, cultural demands, and individual values and aspirations. Children who successfully accomplish developmental tasks tend to achieve well-being and success in subsequent stages, while failure may hinder further development. Overall, children’s development at TK ABA Sungai Limau includes psychosocial and socio-emotional aspects that develop in accordance with their age stages.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas integrasi pendekatan ilmu sosial dan humaniora dalam studi Islam sebagai upaya untuk memahami agama secara lebih menyeluruh, tidak hanya sebagai doktrin normatif, tetapi juga sebagai fenomena sosial dan kultural. Melalui pendekatan ilmu sosial, Islam dianalisis berdasarkan interaksinya dengan struktur sosial, dinamika budaya, serta praktik keagamaan yang hidup dalam masyarakat. Sementara itu, pendekatan humaniora menyoroti aspek intelektual, historis, dan estetika yang membentuk identitas peradaban Islam. Kajian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka dengan menelaah berbagai literatur akademik untuk memperoleh pemahaman komprehensif mengenai kontribusi kedua pendekatan tersebut dalam memperluas analisis keislaman. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa perpaduan antara ilmu sosial dan humaniora mampu memberikan gambaran yang lebih kaya dan mendalam tentang Islam sebagai agama sekaligus sebagai tradisi yang berkembang dalam konteks sosial dan budaya yang beragam.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari perubahan orientasi pemikiran Muhammadiyah yang awalnya berkarakter puritan, berfokus pada pemurnian ajaran Islam dari praktik bid’ah, khurafat, dan tahayul. Seiring perkembangan globalisasi dan kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan, Muhammadiyah mengalami perluasan perspektif menuju sikap yang lebih kosmopolitan dan terbuka terhadap keragaman budaya serta kerja sama lintas iman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dinamika pergeseran tersebut tanpa mengubah substansi pemikiran dasar Muhammadiyah. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan menelaah karya-karya ilmiah dan dokumen yang relevan mengenai puritanisme, kosmopolitanisme, dan gerakan Muhammadiyah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pergeseran ini merupakan proses gradual yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dan eksternal. Sikap kosmopolitan tidak menghilangkan komitmen Muhammadiyah terhadap pemurnian ajaran Islam, tetapi memperkuat peran dan kontribusinya dalam konteks global.

Abstract

The literature review plays a strategic role as a theoretical foundation in formulating research problems, determining research directions, and building a strong conceptual framework. This study aims to describe and analyze the nature of the literature review in guidance and counseling research, to emphasize its important role in strengthening theoretical foundations, improving research quality, and encouraging the development of evidence-based counseling practices. The method employed is a qualitative approach using a library research design. The findings indicate that the literature review is essential in research, including guidance and counseling studies, as it functions as a theoretical foundation that strengthens the research conceptual framework, identifies research gaps (novelty), and reinforces academic arguments as well as research relevance. Therefore, the preparation of a guidance and counseling thesis is a scientific process that determines research quality, relevance, and contribution to the field.
