Abstract

Fine motor development is a crucial aspect of early childhood education as it relates to the coordination of hands, fingers, and eyes that support learning activities. Observations at RA As Shaffah Bengkulu City revealed that some children aged 5–6 years still experienced difficulties in fine motor skills, such as cutting, pasting, and holding writing tools. This study aimed to examine the effect of the volcano experiment method on the fine motor development of early childhood learners. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The participants were 10 children from Group B at RA As Shaffah Bengkulu City. Data were collected using fine motor development observation sheets and analyzed using the Paired Sample t-Test. The results indicated an improvement in the average fine motor score from 19.00 (48%) in the pretest to 28.00 (70%) in the posttest. Statistical analysis showed a significance value of < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between pretest and posttest results. Therefore, it can be concluded that the volcano experiment method has a significant effect on improving fine motor development in children aged 5–6 years at RA As Shaffah Bengkulu City.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged the use of more innovative learning media in Indonesian language learning at the Junior High School (SMP) level, especially in learning folklore that requires an understanding of the storyline, characters, and cultural values. This study aims to compare student learning outcomes between the use of E-Book media and digital Pop-Up Book media in learning the folklore "Legend of Lake Kerinci: Calungga and Calupat". This study uses a quantitative approach with a comparative study design. The subjects of the study were 28 students of class VII C of SMP Negeri 7 Muaro Jambi. The same students participated in two learning sessions with different treatments, namely learning using E-Book media and learning using digital Pop-Up Book media. Data collection was carried out through learning outcome tests (posttests) given after each treatment, then analyzed using descriptive and comparative statistical analysis. The results of the study showed that there were significant differences in learning outcomes between the two media, where the posttest results of students after using digital Pop-Up Book media were higher than those using E-Book media. This indicates that digital Pop-Up Book media is more effective in increasing students' attention, engagement, and understanding of the content of folktales and their cultural values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the School Operational Assistance (BOS) policy at SDN 1 Lasusua using Goggin’s Policy Implementation Model. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal, BOS treasurer, and teachers. Data analysis was conducted interactively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the content of the BOS policy has been well understood by policy implementers at the school level. Policy communication as an intervening variable has been carried out through socialization activities and school meetings; however, policy understanding has not been evenly distributed among all implementers. The implementation of BOS funds has positively contributed to school operational activities and the learning process. The implementation environment and implementers’ capacity generally support policy execution, although administrative constraints, limitations of the online reporting system, and delays in fund disbursement remain challenges. This study confirms that policy communication plays a strategic role in linking policy content and implementation outcomes and serves as a key factor in enhancing the effectiveness of BOS policy implementation in primary schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine: 1) Implementation and concrete forms of programs at Jogja Green School in the process of character building students; 2) Implementation of the flagship nature school program oriented towards practical activities (hands-on) and life skills at Jogja Green School; 3) Obstacles and challenges faced by Jogja Green School in carrying out various character education activities. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach method. Data were collected through participant observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques were carried out systematically following the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This article analyzes the Planning, Implementation, Evaluation, and Challenges of the implementation of the flagship program Oriented Hands-On and Life Skills at Jogja Green School (JGS), an inclusive nature school established in 2009 and inspired by the Totto-chan philosophy. With 80% inclusive students, JGS emphasizes a flexible curriculum and focuses on character education including tolerance, empathy, and social values such as forgiveness to achieve 0% cases of bullying. The planning and implementation of flagship programs center on experiential learning, realized through practical (hands-on) activities such as structured planting programs, experimental science, and weekly life skills classes such as washing and ironing, which foster independence. Additionally, there is an entrepreneurship program in the form of frozen products and a market day, with proceeds donated to the orphanage, emphasizing the formation of social character and environmental awareness. Evaluation is conducted through student assessments and behavioral observations within these integrated activities. Nevertheless, JGS faces major challenges in implementing inclusion, including the need for ongoing teacher training and adapting curriculum management to meet the needs of diverse students, in line with the philosophy that every child has the right to a decent education.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a comprehensive analysis at Sekolah Alam Jogja Green School to: (1) determine the implementation of the experiential learning model in the school; (2) identify the character values developed through the implementation of the experiential learning model; and (3) examine the impact of implementing the experiential learning model on students’ character development. The method used was field research conducted on October 28, 2025, located in Dusun Jambon, RT 04/RW 22, Trihanggo Village, Gamping District, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. A qualitative approach was employed, involving observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The results show that the implementation of the experiential learning model at Sekolah Alam Jogja Green School provides active, hands-on learning experiences through activities that engage students physically, emotionally, and intellectually. The application of this learning model successfully fosters character values such as love for nature, entrepreneurship, independence, morality, logic, and science. The positive impact of experiential learning is evident in students’ behavioral changes, as they become more independent and responsible in their daily school activities. Based on these findings, the experiential learning model is recommended as an effective instructional strategy for character development in schools that emphasize experience-based and environmental education.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low value of science in grade 3 of SDN 4 Parakannyasag. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of educaplay media on student learning outcomes in science learning (Chapter 1 topic A. What animals are around you) in grade 3 of SDN 4 Parakannyasag. This study uses quantitative research with experimental methods. This type of research is Pre-Experimental with One-Group Pretest Posttest design. The sampling technique in this study uses saturated sampling technique. The population of this study is all grade 3 students of SDN 4 Parakannyasag with a sample of 28 students. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interview, test and documentation techniques. Based on the results of the research and discussion analysis, the data in this study are normally distributed and homogeneous with a significance level of data normality of 0.09> 0.05, and a significance level of data homogeneity of 0.33> 0.05. Hypothesis testing in this study uses paired sample t-test (t-test). Based on the results of the hypothesis test, the significance value of learning outcomes was 0.00 < 0.05. So it can be concluded in this study that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that the educaplay media has an effect on student learning outcomes in science learning (Chapter 1 topic A. What animals are around you) in grade 3 of SDN 4 Parakannyasag.

Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of the Mobile JKN policy in improving the efficiency of outpatient services at H. Pajonga Daeng Ngalle Regional Hospital, Takalar Regency. The main problem faced is the persistence of obstacles in outpatient services even though the Mobile JKN application has been implemented, such as limited internet network in certain areas, low patient technological literacy, and dependence on staff assistance. These conditions have an impact on the efficiency of time and service flow that is not optimal. The purpose of this study is to determine and describe the implementation of the Mobile JKN policy in improving outpatient efficiency by using the Van Meter and Van Horn policy implementation model. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation with informants directly involved in the Mobile JKN service. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Mobile JKN policy at H. Pajonga Daeng Ngalle Regional Hospital has essentially helped improve the efficiency of outpatient services, especially in reducing queue times and regular service flow. However, the effectiveness of the implementation is not optimal because it is still influenced by limited resources, especially technological facilities, internet network quality, and public understanding of the use of the application. This study concludes that the success of Mobile JKN implementation is largely determined by the clarity of policy standards, resource readiness, implementer attitudes, and social environmental support.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of food security policy at the FoodSecurity Office of North Kolaka Regency using Grindle’s policy implementationmodel. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed through in-depth interviewsand document analysis. The findings reveal that the policy content has been clearlyformulated in terms of objectives, target groups, benefits, activities, resources, andexpected changes. However, limitations in human resources, budget allocation, andsupporting infrastructure reduce policy effectiveness. From the implementationcontext perspective, multi-level actors are involved, but differences in interests, localpolitical dynamics, and socio-economic conditions influence program distribution.Although positive changes have emerged in priority villages—such as increasedhousehold food production and income diversification—the implementation has notyet been evenly distributed. Strengthening institutional coordination, increasingbudget support, and enhancing community empowerment are necessary to improvesustainable food security governance at the local level.

Abstract

Confidence is one of the psychological aspects that plays an important role in supporting the performance of pencak silat athletes when competing. This study aims to analyze the level of confidence when competing in pencak silat athletes of the University of Muhammadiyah Sorong. The research uses a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey method. The subjects of the study were 30 pencak silat athletes who were determined by total sampling technique. The instrument used was in the form of a confidence questionnaire which included indicators of confidence in one's abilities, emotional control during competitions, optimism in facing opponents, and courage to make decisions. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics in the form of averages, percentages, and categorization. The results showed that 46.7% of athletes were in the high confidence category, 40% in the medium category, and 13.3% in the low category. Indicators of confidence in one's abilities have the highest average scores, while emotional control during competitions has the lowest average scores. The conclusion of the study shows that the level of confidence of pencak silat athletes at the University of Muhammadiyah Sorong is generally in the medium to high category, but the aspect of emotional control still needs special attention through a structured mental training program.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in Islamic Religious Education learning due to conventional learning strategies applied by teachers and lack of learning motivation. This research uses quantitative research with the type of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The results of the study indicate that: (1) There is a positive and significant influence between learning strategies on the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education of Students at SMPN 2 Wates Blitar. (2) There is a positive and significant influence between learning motivation on the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education of Students at SMPN 2 Wates Blitar. (3) There is a positive and significant influence between learning strategies and learning motivation on the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education of Students at SMPN 2 Wates Blitar. Every increase in the variables of learning strategies and learning motivation will increase the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education of Students at SMPN 2 Wates Blitar, and vice versa.
