Abstract

Education at the primary level plays a vital role in developing children's self-confidence as part of the process of character building and social-emotional skills. This study aims to examine the contribution of parents in fostering self-confidence in primary school-age children using a literature study approach. Information was collected from various secondary sources such as scientific articles and previous research results. The findings show that parenting patterns that are warm, communicative and encourage children's independence significantly support the formation of healthy self-confidence. Parents who provide emotional support, appreciation of children's efforts, and opportunities to explore, play a role in strengthening children's positive perceptions of themselves. Therefore, active parental involvement in creating a supportive family environment is a key factor in strengthening children's self-confidence from an early age.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of thematic learning in improving literacy competencies of primary school students through a literature review approach. Basic literacy includes reading, writing, visual and digital skills, which are important foundations in the learning process and cognitive development of children. Using a descriptive-qualitative literature study method, data were collected from relevant SINTA-accredited national journals published between 2018 and 2025. The results of the analysis show that thematic learning can significantly improve students' literacy skills through contextual, integrative and experiential approaches. Factors supporting the success of thematic learning include the active role of teachers, relevant learning media, curriculum flexibility and student participation. However, its implementation still faces a number of challenges such as time constraints, infrastructure and lack of teacher training. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening teacher training and providing learning resources that support the optimal implementation of thematic learning to improve students' literacy in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Pada era kecanggihan teknologi saat ini, perangkat komputer sudah menjadi kebutuhan sehari-hari bagi pelajar, yang mana tanpa disadari penggunaannya dapat memicu paparan gelombang elektromagnetik yang berdampak pada kesehatan pelajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji persepsi pelajar terkait dampak penggunaan perangkat komputer dan paparan gelombang elektromagnetik yang dirasakan terhadap kondisi kesehatannya. Berdasarkan data dari 26 responden menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar pelajar mengalami keluhan terhadap kondisi kesehatan fisiknya, seperti sakit kepala (65,4%), mudah lelah (46,2%), nyeri mata (46,2%), dan nyeri leher atau punggung (46,2%) dengan rentang waktu penggunaan perangkat antara 1-5 jam per hari. Selain itu, pelajar sering menggunakan perangkat di ruangan gelap, tidak menggunakan proteksi radiasi, dan 23,1% responden jarang beristirahat setelah menggunakan perangkat yang dapat memperburuk kondisi kesehatannya. Namun demikian, meskipun dampak tersebut telah disadari, sebagian besar responden belum konsisten dalam melaksanakan tindakan pencegahan. Kajian ini mengingatkan kita akan pentingnya peningkatan kesadaran yang perlu dibentuk sebagai kebiasaan sehat bagi pelajar agar lebih bijak dalam menggunakan perangkat komputer sehingga tetap bermanfaat bagi mereka tanpa terkena dampak negatif.

Abstract

The limited ability of elementary school students to solve mathematical problems that require problem-solving skills has become a crucial issue in addressing the challenges of 21st-century education. This study aims to investigate the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities at the elementary level. A quantitative approach was used with a quasi-experimental design of the nonequivalent control group type. The research sample consisted of two classes, VA and VC, from a public elementary school in Purwakarta Regency during the 2024/2025 academic year, with 25 students in each class. Class VA served as the experimental group and received instruction using the PBL model, while class VC, as the control group, was taught using the Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) cooperative learning model. Data were collected through essay tests developed based on Polya’s problem-solving stages, administered during both pretest and posttest. The analysis results showed a significant effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on enhancing the mathematical problemsolving abilities of elementary school students.

Abstract

Cultivating critical thinking is a major need in 21st century education, where learners are required to be able to analyze, evaluate, and create solutions to complex problems. In the context of Islamic education, the stories of the prophets have great potential as a learning medium that not only conveys moral and spiritual values, but also is able to stimulate students' critical thinking skills. This study aims to explore how the prophet's stories can be used pedagogically to transform Islamic values into 21st century skills, especially critical thinking. The method used is library research with a qualitative approach. The results of the study show that stories such as Prophet Ibrahim, Prophet Moses, and Prophet Muhammad SAW contain narratives that challenge reason, encourage dialogue, and provide space for reflection and decision making that can be developed as teaching materials to practice critical thinking. This integration not only relevates the teachings of Islam with the needs of the times, but also strengthens the character and personality of students as a generation of religious, reflective, and rational learners.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of the application of Sufism in the lives of today's society, with a focus on its contribution to facing social challenges, mental health, and character building. Through a literature study approach, this study presents various literature, including books, articles, and journals that discuss Sufism and its relevance in the context of modern life. Sufism, which is known for its teachings on inner peace, self-control, and values ​​such as tolerance, compassion, and good deeds, shows great potential in overcoming the moral and social problems of today's society. Practices such as dhikr and meditation have been proven effective in reducing stress, improving mental health, and forming positive character. Moreover, the values ​​of Sufism also offer an approach to easing social conflict and building a peaceful and harmonious society. The results of this study indicate that Sufism not only enriches individual spirituality, but also has a real impact on improving social, mental, and character aspects in the modern era. Therefore, Sufism is seen as an important means to form a more tolerant, noble, and compassionate society. Keywords: Sufism, Society, Modern;

Abstract

This research is motivated by the urgency to build a morally and spiritually balanced character among Muslims, especially in facing the challenges of modern life. In Islam, ethics (akhlaq) and Sufism (tasawuf) are two essential pillars that complement each other. Ethics represents the outward behavior of a Muslim, while Sufism is a spiritual path toward self-purification and closeness to Allah SWT. This study aims to analyze the position of ethics and Sufism in Islam, examine their interrelationship, and explore their implications in contemporary life. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with a literature review approach. Data were collected through the analysis of relevant academic sources, including books, journals, and articles that discuss Islamic ethics and Sufism. The findings indicate that authentic Sufism naturally produces noble character. Sufi values such as sincerity (ikhlas), patience (sabr), asceticism (zuhud), and humility (tawadhu) serve as the foundation for ethical behavior. In the context of modern life—characterized by moral decline, spiritual crises, and psychological stress—the integration of ethics and Sufism proves effective in providing inner peace and shaping a balanced personality. Thus, the relationship between ethics and Sufism is both functional and synergistic: Sufism reinforces the spiritual roots of ethics, while ethics embodies the practical expression of the spiritual journey. These findings highlight the importance of Islamic education that integrates both aspects to foster a generation with strong moral and spiritual foundations. Abstract

In today's era of technological sophistication, computer devices have become a daily necessity for students, which unknowingly their use can trigger exposure to electromagnetic waves that have an impact on students' health. This study aims to examine students' perceptions regarding the impact of computer device use and electromagnetic wave exposure that is felt on their health conditions. Based on data from 26 respondents, it shows that the majority of students experience complaints about their physical health conditions, such as headaches (65.4%), fatigue (46.2%), eye pain (46.2%), and neck or back pain (46.2%) with a range of device usage time between 1-5 hours per day. In addition, students often use devices in dark rooms, do not use radiation protection, and 23.1% of respondents rarely rest after using devices which can worsen their health conditions. However, even though these impacts have been realized, most respondents have not been consistent in implementing preventive measures. This study reminds us of the importance of increasing awareness that needs to be formed as a healthy habit for students to be wiser in using computer devices so that they remain beneficial for them without being affected by negative impacts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of resilience as a moderator variable on the relationship between career adaptability and self-perceived employability in Generation Z employees. This study uses correlational quantitative research methods to determine the relationship between variables, with specific qualifications such as age range from 17 years to 28 years with work experience, resulting in 388 respondent data. The research instruments used were the Career Adapt-Abilities Scale (CAAS), Self-Perceived Employability Scale (SPES), and Resilience Scale (RS-14) which were translated and then distributed via google form. Data were analyzed using correlation and regression test between 2 variables with moderator on SPSS. The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between career adaptability and self-perceived employability with the moderation of resilience. That is, in Generation Z employees with high levels of resilience, the relationship between career adaptability and self-perceived employability becomes stronger. Resilience acts as a benchmark for the possibility of individuals to be more effective in Generation Z career adaptation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang pengaruh media audio visual berbasis Genially terhadap hasil belajar pada materi seperti apa daerah tempat tinggalku dahulu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain quasi eksperimen yang melibatkan dua kelompok, yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN Polisi 1 Kota Bogor pada tahun pelajaran 2024/2025. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kelas IV A dan IV B, yang berjumlah 66 peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada kelas eksperimen dengan nilai N-gain sebesar 65 dan ketuntasan belajar 63%, sedangkan nilai N-Gain pada kelas kontrol sebesar 55 dan ketuntasan belajar 36%. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa ditolak dan diterima karena nilai t_hitung (2,74483) > t_tabel (1,99773). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media audio visual berbasis Genially terhadap hasil belajar pada materi seperti apa daerah tempat tinggalku dahulu.
