Abstract

The purpose of this study is to implement the discovery learning model to improve students’ numeracy literacy in statistics. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a two-cycle design. The subjects of this study were 29 eighth-grade junior high school students. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation. Through the implementation of the discovery learning model, it is expected that students’ numeracy literacy will improve, as demonstrated by achieving a minimum passing score (KKM) of ≥ 70 with a class-wide mastery rate of ≥ 75%, as well as increased student engagement in learning, such as participating in discussions, asking questions, and solving contextual problems. The research results show that the implementation of the Discovery Learning model was carried out through six stages: providing stimuli to students, students identifying problems, data collection, data processing, verification, and drawing conclusions. These stages reflect student activity during learning, with an average of 80.14%, which falls into the “good” category, and teacher activity at 76.31%, also in the “good” category. The results of the self-assessment test showed that 22 out of 29 students achieved a score of ≥75, with a classical mastery rate of 75.86%, which met the established success indicators.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to develop a local resource-based business through the utilization of louhan fish as the main ingredient for nugget production in Silalahi II Village, Silahisabungan District, Dairi Regency. The activity was motivated by the underutilization of louhan fish as a product with added value and greater economic potential. The program was implemented through socialization, training, hands-on practice, and mentoring activities involving community members, particularly housewives and village youth. A participatory approach was employed to encourage active community involvement throughout all stages of the program. The results of the activity indicated an improvement in participants’ knowledge and skills in processing louhan fish into value-added nugget products. Furthermore, the program provided insights into local resource-based business opportunities and highlighted the importance of product innovation in enhancing the economic value of fishery products. The resulting louhan fish nuggets offer an alternative form of fishery product diversification with the potential to be developed as a household-scale business. Therefore, this community service activity is expected to promote community empowerment, strengthen the utilization of local resources, and support sustainable community economic development.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is a basic competency that plays an important role in helping students understand information and solve mathematical story problems. However, this ability is still relatively low so that students experience difficulties in identifying important information, determining solution strategies, and obtaining correct answers. This study aims to improve students' reading comprehension skills in solving mathematical story problems through the application of the NGOPI Model. This study contributes in the form of the application of the NGOPI Model as an alternative learning that integrates reading literacy activities and mathematical problem solving at the elementary school level. The study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with the Kemmis and McTaggart model which was carried out in two cycles, including the planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 27 fifth-grade students of SDN Kutowinangun 08 in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through observation, tests, documentation, and field notes, then analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive techniques. The results showed that the application of the NGOPI Model was able to improve students' reading comprehension skills. The percentage of learning completion increased by 40.74%, namely from 48.15% in Cycle I to 88.89% in Cycle II, while the average value increased by 13.89 points, from 72.41 to 86.30. Improvements also occurred in all indicators of reading comprehension skills, including understanding the contents of story problems, identifying known and asked information, determining solution strategies, and solving story problems with correct answers. Thus, the NGOPI Model has been proven effective in improving students' reading comprehension skills in solving mathematical story problems, and can be used as an alternative learning model to strengthen reading literacy and problem-solving skills in elementary schools.

Abstract

Numeracy skills are a basic part of learning math, but students in Special Needs Schools often find it hard to understand math ideas when they only use traditional teaching methods. This internship report looks at how a bingo game was used as a way to help SLB students improve their numeracy skills. The activities took place in three steps: first, planning; second, carrying out learning activities with bingo; and third, checking how well the learning went. The results show that using bingo as a teaching tool helps students become more interested and involved in their lessons, and it also helps them improve their math skills. So, playing bingo games can be a fun and effective way to learn. This learning tool helps students get involved more, makes them feel more sure about solving math problems, and creates a classroom where people learn together and talk more. The process of carrying out the implementation showed that students started to pay more attention to instructions and showed more excitement during their learning activities. They could more easily spot numbers, do easy math, and use basic math ideas during class activities. The game-based method also made math lessons less boring, allowing students to learn in a more fun and engaging way. Also, teachers could give quick feedback and better understand what each student needs to learn. Overall, the results show that using educational games in math lessons can help create a more inclusive learning environment, increase student involvement, and support the growth of important math skills for students with special needs in different learning situations, while also encouraging teamwork, participation, and self-reliance. Abstract

The development of digital transactions in Indonesia has transformed the implementation of contracts while raising legal issues concerning the validity of digital contracts and the evidentiary value of electronic evidence in dispute resolution. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the legal maxim al-yaqīn lā yazūlu bi al-syakk (certainty is not overruled by doubt) in resolving disputes over digital contracts and its relevance to electronic evidence in Indonesia. This research employs a normative legal method using conceptual, statutory, and library research approaches. The data were collected from legislation, Islamic jurisprudence literature, books, and scholarly journals and analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method. The findings indicate that the legal maxim al-yaqīn lā yazūlu bi al-syakk provides a normative foundation that a digital contract supported by valid electronic evidence cannot be invalidated solely based on allegations or denial without sufficient proof. The validity of digital contracts in Islamic commercial law (fiqh muamalah) is recognized as long as the essential elements and legal requirements of a contract are fulfilled, including mutual consent, a clearly defined object, and a lawful purpose. Furthermore, the study demonstrates a strong alignment between the principle of legal certainty in Islamic law and the recognition of electronic evidence under Indonesian positive law. Therefore, this legal maxim remains relevant as a normative basis for resolving digital contract disputes while strengthening legal certainty and legal protection for parties involved in electronic transactions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to outline how Aqidah Akhlak instructors at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Arrahmatul Abadiyah, Banjarmasin Utara District, Banjarmasin City, influence students' attitudes toward Islamic education. The study employs a case study methodology and a qualitative approach. The Aqidah Akhlak teacher, the principal of the school, and students who served as informants were all involved in the data collection process, which included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing are among the data analysis techniques employed, and source triangulation is used to guarantee data validity. The study's findings show that Aqidah Akhlak teachers have a significant impact on students' attitudes as educators, role models, facilitators, motivators, and assessors. The primary factor influencing students' moral development in daily life is the exemplary behavior of their teachers. Additionally, teachers use interactive techniques like discussion, storytelling, and habituation exercises to incorporate moral values into the learning process. However, a number of difficulties were discovered, such as the impact of the environment, the advancement of technology, and the short amount of time available for instruction. Teachers employ ongoing moral guidance, parent-teacher collaboration, and the use of technology to support learning activities in order to overcome these obstacles. In general, teachers play a critical role in developing students' moral character based on Islamic principles.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze in depth the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) based on Continuous Improvement in enhancing the quality of education in schools. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. The study was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Tapen Bondowoso from Maret 10 to May 10, 2026. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings reveal that the implementation of TQM based on continuous improvement at SMP Negeri 1 Tapen Bondowoso is established through the integration of five key components: visionary leadership, the implementation of the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) cycle, data-driven decision making, collaborative professional learning, and a quality culture oriented toward continuous improvement. The synergy among these components forms a systemic, adaptive, and evidence-based quality management system that enhances the effectiveness of school management, teachers' professionalism, the quality of teaching and learning processes, and institutional accountability. The novelty of this study lies in the formulation of an integrated TQM implementation model that positions visionary leadership, evidence-based decision making, collaborative professional learning, and the PDCA cycle as interconnected strategic pillars for achieving sustainable educational quality improvement.

Abstract

2. Classroom Action Research (CAR) focuses on solving classroom problems directly, while traditional research focuses on developing general educational theories. CAR is practical, flexible, and conducted by teachers through planning, action, observation, and reflection. Traditional research is more formal and uses larger samples. CAR is suitable for classroom problems because teachers can immediately apply and improve teaching strategies. 3. Reflection after Cycle I is done by evaluating the results of the action, including student participation and learning outcomes. The teacher identifies weaknesses and improves the strategy for Cycle II. For example, if students are still shy to speak English, the teacher can add vocabulary practice or group activities in Cycle II. 4. Observation helps teachers collect information about student learning. Reflection helps evaluate teaching effectiveness, while collaboration allows teachers to share ideas and feedback. These elements help improve teaching quality and student achievement. 5. One classroom problem that can be researched through CAR is students’ low confidence in speaking English. The teacher can use role play or group discussions to increase participation. CAR helps improve student learning outcomes and also develops the teacher’s professional skills.

Abstract

The implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) at SD Negeri 3 Sanur has generally been carried out fairly well, as evidenced by solid internal governance, a conducive learning environment, and adequate school facilities. Various aspects, including curriculum, student affairs, human resources, finance, and infrastructure management, have been structured effectively to support the learning process. However, public relations management is still sub-optimal, which consequently limits the active involvement of external stakeholders and the school committee. Based on the SWOT analysis, the school's location in Sanur presents a great opportunity to strengthen community cooperation and utilize the local environment as a contextual learning resource. This opportunity must be maximized to address tangible threats, such as intense inter-school competition and ever-increasing demands for educational quality. Therefore, a tactical strategy to enhance school-community communication and collaboration is highly required to support sustainable educational quality improvement.
